Cwmdonkin Park Today Cwmdonkin Park is one of the oldest municipal parks in Wales. Opened in 1874, this Grade II listed park is of special historic interest. It retains many original Victorian features that inspired Dylan’s internationally renowned poems - ‘The Hunchback in the Park’ and ‘Once it was the colour of saying’. However, the park at present is a shadow of its former glory.
