The Naked Truth
By Frank Vickery
By Dave Simpson
Starring Frank Vickery as the hilarious Teddy, and Sue Roderick as his drunken sidekick, Joyce, from Granny Annie.
Real Women, Real Lives
The Trealow and West Amateur Theatrical Society are about to cast their next production and due to the credit crunch, Nick, their director, has some difficult choices to make. So he invites the actors and committee to a barbecue to announce his decisions. As the alcohol flows, Nick ends up promising a different show and the lead part to more than one actor! Add to the party revelations of a blackmail plot, a possible affair, an attempted suicide and a surprise twist at the end, and this is Frank Vickery at his best; biting one-liners, moments of pure slapstick, and hilarious farce.
Set in a pole dancing class (the latest get-fit craze) ‘The Naked Truth’ is a brilliantly funny play about sisterhood. Lisa Riley (the larger than life star of Emmerdale & Fat Friends) leads an all-star cast from stage and screen including Trudie Goodwin (The Bill), Julie Buckfield (Hollyoaks) and Abi Titmuss. It’s a women thing, as five very different women struggle hilariously to conquer pole dancing for an event to raise awareness and money for a breast cancer charity. As their stories unfold and unravel, they share laughter and tears in this hilarious, sad and ultimately moving play. It’s a show for women, about women, that men absolutely must see (if they dare!).
Don’t Miss it. You’ll die Laughing!

Gordon Hendrix has the voice and the look of ELVIS and, along with his band ‘Red Alert’, he faithfully recreates the magic of Elvis taking you through all the great songs from the 50s hits to the Vegas years in a breathtaking evening of pure ELVIS magic in a style so reminiscent you will wonder if Elvis is on stage - maybe, just maybe, he is.
