Equal Opportunities for Pupils
Morriston Education
Partnership
Flourishing links have been established with primary colleagues in order to ensure that there is curriculum continuity between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. In addition, Year 6 pupils join us for a range of activities ranging from the use of technology, library and leisure facilities, to a performance of our annual school production. Our contributing Primary Schools participate in soccer, netball, rugby and rounders tournaments. We have also developed a Language Policy in conjuction with our feeder Primary Schools. There is an extensive liaison programme organised by the Key Stage Leader who makes personal visits to all the schools to meet Year 6 pupils and their teachers. Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to visit our school and meet their new teachers in July prior to their entry in September.
Health and Sex Education Policy In accordance with the County Policy, Sex Education is delivered mainly through Science, Religious Education and Personal and Social Education lessons or by specialist staff, who visit the school. A detailed policy for Health and Sex Education is available at the school. Any parent who wishes to exercise their right to remove their child from the non-statutory aspects of Health and Sex Education is asked to contact the Headteacher to discuss the matter.
