Oklahoma!

Swan Lake By Peter I. Tchaikovsky

Starring Marti Webb and Mark Evans Set on America’s Western Frontier, against a background of conflict between farmers and cattlemen, Oklahoma! perfectly integrates song, dance and story to tell the tale of farm girl Laurey and the two rivals for her affections, happy go-lucky cowboy Curly and the sinister farm hand Jud. Famously, the show opens with Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’ and contains a sumptuous and rousing score full of wonderful songs such as The Surrey with The Fringe on Top, People Will Say We’re in Love, Many a New Day, I Cain’t Say No, and the final rousing chorus of Oklahoma - as the music soars the audience is carried along on the emotional journey of one of the most famous love stories in musical history.

The Ballet Academy is named after legendary Nureyev, who was a star of the London Royal Ballet for over fifteen years and the permanent partner of Margot Fonteyn, the company’s prima ballerina. This duet is considered one of the best in the history of ballet. The heritage of the greatest dancer of the 20th century, his high professionalism and self-devotion, makes the Ballet Academy one of the world’s best choreographic schools. A compelling legend of tragic romance tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil curse, and features choreography that allows the very best dancers to show just how impressive they can be. Swan Lake is considered by many to be one of the greatest classical ballets of all time.

This is Brandreth unleashed on the stars he’s known (one-to-one) and the wicked ways of Westminster (no expenses spared). Without hesitation, or repetition, (and just a touch of deviation), Just a Minute regular Gyles delivers a dazzling evening of wit, wordplay and hilarious name-dropping.
