Mobile marketing vehicles The City & County of Swansea Council has been promoting its own events, safety and recycling messages on the side of its vehicles for a number of years, and we would now like to expand this opportunity to other businesses and organisations. We have over 300 vehicles with 50 recycling and 24 refuse collection vehicles in the fleet alone, which between them pass every household in the city. Advertising on vehicles creates a moving canvas to promote your business to residents and the local community, as the vehicles never leave local roads. This is a perfect way for national, regional and local businesses to promote their services and products to the community. Our clear and consistently branded vehicles mean residents are able to recognise council vehicles immediately wherever they are and will raise profile of the council services and commercial messages.
The most appropriate style of livery depends on the vehicle itself, the service and how the vehicle will be used will determine the size of advertisement.

Swansea Bay Rider advertising on the move! The Swansea Bay Rider… a unique way to see our beautiful Swansea Bay! With 231,000 permanent residents in Swansea and 4.1 million visitors each year spending £302.7 million between them! The Swansea Bay Rider is a 72 seater land train, which runs along Swansea promenade, from Blackpill to Southend Gardens, Mumbles, stopping at West Cross, Oystermouth and Norton along the way. It follows a section of the route taken by the famous Mumbles Train, the first passenger railway in the world. The Land Train operates daily over Easter and Bank Holiday weekends plus throughout the Summer months from July until mid September. Also the ‘Halloween Train’ is a spooky way to see the bay and comes out again on the 31st October. You can take a magical trip along the promenade during the Christmas school holidays attracting over 2,000 children. The Swansea Bay Rider is dressed for each occasion, subject to weather conditions! Bus back advertisement Community Play Bus throughout 2015 to March 2016 The Mobile Play Bus project supports communities for FREE throughout the City and County of Swansea by providing a whole variety of stimulating play opportunities. The Play Bus has been on the road now for 5 years and is out and about virtually everyday going to areas where all parents and children alike are invited to come along for free. They can meet up with other mums and dads, learn to play with their little ones and get information and support they need. It is also vitally important they find fun, safe ways to play with their child to help with development and bonding. Weekly sessions are even set up in the City Centre so Parents have access as many cannot drive. The aims of the project are to: • provide increased play provision in areas that have limited or no play provision • to help set up and support parent and toddler groups in all areas • to assist in the establishment of after school clubs • to visit communities to provide play and crèche facilities • to promote play training • to provide and promote free Open Access Play Sessions • to support and work with all play orientated organisations Mega Bus back – This is the most easily recognised of all messages featured on the Play bus. There is no doubt as to the effectiveness of this unique and one-off opportunity. This popular bus back panel is aimed specifically at car drivers and their passengers but also seen by pedestrian shoppers on the busy streets. This gives excellent exposure to the inevitable traffic behind the bus.
