Back for a third year, the Waterfront Winterland is set to enthral visitors and residents once again. From Saturday 22 November right through until Sunday 4 January, the grounds of the National Waterfront Museum will be transformed into a festive land of merriment and magic. Opening times: 22 November – 4 January Monday – Friday (Until 19 December): 12noon – 10pm Monday - Friday (From 20 December): 10am – 10pm Saturdays & Sundays: 10am – 10pm Christmas Eve: 10am – 8pm Christmas Day: Closed Boxing Day: 10am – 8pm New Years Eve: 10am – 8pm Please note that the last skate on the ice rink will be an hour before closing.
fun The Admiral giant wheel will be the star of the show again this Christmas, as one of the biggest touring wheels in the UK returns to offer brilliant views across the city. Seen from miles around, climb on board the 44m wheel if you’re brave enough! A traditional carousel, our new snow storm ride and other favourites will complete the fun fair area, providing attractions for the whole family.
Skating Yes, the ice rink is back after proving to be hugely popular last year with thousands of people taking advantage of being able to skate on a real ice rink. Bring some gloves and a scarf as it gets mighty cold on there! santa Christmas at the Waterfront Winterland wouldn’t be complete without Santa, and thanks to support from Royal Mail, youngsters will have the chance to meet Santa in his very own Grotto. The kids will have an early Christmas present, and have the opportunity to get their photo taken with Santa for a lasting memento. The Royal Mail Santa’s Grotto will be open until 23 December. festive food Of course, a visit to any Christmas attraction wouldn’t be the same without sampling some festive food, and here at the Waterfront Winterland, we’ll have an array of tastes to tickle your taste buds. German sausages, sweets, candy floss, and mulled wine will be just some of the smells and flavours on offer.

Whether it’s you with your friends having fun on the ice rink, a scene at the Waterfront Winterland or you eating some candyfloss - whatever it is, capture the moment and send it through to us. 2 hours Free Parking While you shop in the city centre why not take advantage of 2 hours of free parking in St David’s car park, Monday-Saturday (just make sure you have your ticket stamped in the list of shops advertised in the car park). Don’t forget that parking in council car-parks on a Sunday is free (all year round!).

Location Waterfront Winterland is centrally located between the National Waterfront Museum and the LC. Public Transport Waterfront Winterland is a 5 minute walk from the city centre with its excellent transport links. For further information about bus and train services visit www.traveline-cymru.org.uk Park & Ride It’s quick and easy to use Swansea’s award winning Park & Ride service. It costs only £2 to park a car all day with up to four people. There are state of the art facilities at Landore, Fforestfach and Fabian Way. During the festive season Park and Ride operates 7 days a week and runs through the day from 7am to 7pm on Mondays to Saturdays and from 9.30am to 5.45pm on Sundays. Car Parking The city centre is serviced by 25 car parks offering approximately 8850 spaces either within the city centre or nearby. Council car parks in the city centre are FREE on Sundays. For visits to Waterfront Winterland we recommend St David’s Car Park, a long stay, pay on foot facility just minutes from the site. Shopmobility Swansea’s Shop Mobility Centre, based in St David’s Shopping Centre, is for anyone with mobility problems. Here you can hire electric scooters, or powered/manual wheelchairs.
