We are beginning again a project we have not done in 25 years!

We are creating a cook book which we will sell for a nominal cost. Monies collected will be shared by all the participating schools on an equal basis.

When we did it 25 years ago the kids wrote, told and drew a recipie that was their favorite food and we asked the teachers that it be “in their own words”. They were pretty funny . Did you know it takes “a mile and tsp of cheese to make “macroni and chez”?

WE ARE ASKING FOR RECIPIES FROM 6TH GRADERS AND YOUNGER! We are asking for teachers and staff for their favorite recipies too!

The pilots, Inyokern Airport staff and volunteers will be sharing their favorites too. Char Spenser’s baked beans are world famous and will be a honored collectable!

EASY PREPARED CHEESECAKE CHOCOLATE COVERING

1 frozen New York-style cheesecake thawed

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, divided

3/4 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons chopped pecans, toasted

3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/4 cup butter, cubed

3/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning

3/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

3/4 teaspoon chili powder

1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary finely chopped

2 tablespoons honey

1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

2 pork tenderloins (1 pound each)

Place cheesecake on a serving plate. Place chocolate chips in a small bowl. In a small saucepan, bring 1/4 cup cream just to a boil. Pour over chocolate; stir with a whisk until smooth. Cool slightly, stirring occasionally. Pour over cheesecake; sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate until set.

Mix ingredient together,pour over tenderloins. Grill, covered, over medium heat until a thermometer reads 145°, 20-25 minutes, turningoccasionally.Letstand5minutesbeforeslicing.

In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in remaining cream and return to a boil. Remove from heat. Serve warm with cheesecake or, if desired, cool completely and drizzle over cheesecake.
