COSTAL-INFLUENCED HONEWARES
Hannah Wisdom creates her textile art in her studio in Devon, by sewing recycled fabrics onto discarded admiralty sea charts and occasionally old Ordnance Survey maps. Her artwork reference locality, heritage, culture and wildlife, while the charts provide an immediate link to the environment of the subject and bring their own history to the piece. Hannah’s original designs are scanned using cutting edge 3D scanning technology to create fine art giclee prints. Bruce Walker is a 21-year-old award-winning Gin Distiller from Glasgow, and founder of Purist Gin. During the first lockdown he started Purist out of the inability to operate his new business making bespoke gins for small retailers, bars and restaurants. Since then the brand has produced three new batches including a Navy strength for the braver gin drinkers. All bottles feature new labels for each batch from exciting artists, hence the name The Art Gin! Franny Moseley, the painter, developed this amazing piece over lockdown and has kindly let Purist Gin use her artwork on the bottle.
