50 year history of people + design
We had an amazing time celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2019! For 50 years, we’ve designed places on the belief that great buildings and spaces can inspire, influence, and enhance the lives of their users and the community. That’s why we commemorated this milestone with events throughout the year celebrating our clients, employees, and community. We’re especially proud that our “Fifty for Fifty” campaign, where team members collectively completed over 50 community service projects, was a huge success. We have an incredible team that has always given back and our anniversary gave us the opportunity to showcase that commitment. As team members volunteered for organizations, the outreach events were documented on large “Fifty for Fifty” boards displayed throughout our office and promoted on our social media pages. We are eager to continue that incredible and meaningful work into the new year and beyond. As 2020 begins, we look forward to continuing to apply our talents for our clients and our community.

Celebrating Our Clients We kicked off our 50th anniversary celebration in style at our annual Rochester International Jazz Festival client reception. Almost 500 people, including clients, employees, and colleagues, showed up to celebrate with us at Max of Eastman Place. Many of our retired principals were also on hand to help celebrate our proud 50-year heritage of positively impacting lives through meaningful design. We were lucky to have fantastic weather, music, and food, along with wonderful guests to celebrate this milestone. A great time was had by all!
Celebrating Our People On August 23, we took a short trip together to celebrate a day of relaxation and recreation at Beaver Hollow Conference Center in Java Center, NY. We enjoyed all kinds of recreation and mindfulness activities and, of course, a lot of healthy competition. We capped off the fun day with a great meal by the lake. Even the bus ride home was fun!
Celebrating the Community Throughout 2019, we completed over fifty acts of community service, honoring our longstanding history of community support.
