Circle K Governor Banna Tesfay Hey Chilies! My name is Banna Tesfay, and I'm the 2016-2017 CKI District Governor! It wasn't too long ago that I was in Key Club like you all, on the District Board as the Secretary/ Treasurer. Some facts about me: I'm from Surprise, AZ (Dysart love all the way), I go to Northern Arizona University, studying Graphic Design. I work as a designer and a Programmer/ Mentor for the LGBTQA Office at NAU. And I spend an unhealthy amount of time on Hulu. You all are a part of such an amazing organization, with high school students who work world-wide to make the world a better place. Don't lose sight of that this year. I mean, how could you,

you have a great Governor like Alisa. CKI is similar; we have college students around the world who have the same goals as you, who want to make change. This year, I want to strengthen our connection so much more. I hope we can work together so that when you all graduate with your success from Key Club, CKI will be your next choice. But until then, CKI is here to support and work with you as much as we can, and we hope you'll do the same for us. Stay spicy, Southwest! Banna Tesfay

Key Club International proudly announces our newest Key Club nation: Brazil! On March 30, the Key Club of Escola Americana do Rio De Janeiro received notification that it is officially chartered. We are now in 38 countries around the world!

BYLAWS

HOUSE OF DELEGATES

Each year at District Convention, we get the unique opportunity to modify our bylaws for the betterment of our district and of our members. This year, at House of Delegates, we voted on a few prominent changes that will be in effect moving forward. Learn more about our new district bylaws: Lieutenant Governor elections will now be held at Division Council Meetings in February so the individual can receive the adequate resources for his/her position, and so members can become more acquainted with their LtG at DCON. Dues have also been increased by $0.50, totaling to $5.00. This money will give members the benefits they are entitled to as a member of the Southwest District, by providing better resources, conventions, and an overall enhanced experience. Article VIII Lieutenant Governor Elections Section 2: Election Procedures a) Lieutenant Governor elections will take place at the Division Council Meeting, in the month of February, where the current Lieutenant Governor of the division is the host unless seeking reelection. If the current Lieutenant Governor is seeking reelection, a member

assigned by the Board of Trustees will replace the Lieutenant Governor as host. Article XII Revenue Section 1: Each club member shall pay to the district the sum of $5.00 per annum as district dues. These dues are payable by October 1st and shall be remitted to the Key Club International Office by the individual club not later than December 1st of each year.
