“There is quite of bit of folly, driven by passion, to commute for ten hours by car to then cycle for four. The NSW southern highlands presented all the ingredients for a magnificent event, as another true Rapha signature. We could but glimpse at what the first pardoned settlers saw and felt, indeed an apt location for the thrill and freedom of cycling. 28 A chill in the air greeted the team, apprehensive at first, do we roll turns, how hard to we go up the hills, who will lead? As the kilometres fell, the riders warmed to the challenge, a rhythm was set, turns taken, teammates watching out for each other. “Remember to eat and drink”, “Ease up”, “OK roll...”, “10 k’s to go...” The finish a welcome sight, finishing together with memories of the day imprinted in our minds. - Anthony

Our team are all members of the same club (Sydney Uni Velo). I grew up in this area. On the day we suffered 6 punctures, I had 5 of them. My tyres are fine. I copped a bagging (and still do). It was a great ride . - Nic

Guided only by friends, maps, fresh air, magic scenery and the fun of taking our road bikes on and off road created a unique and memorable day.
