Sir Guenter Treitel, QC, FBA, DCL is a leading authority on contract law. He is the author of the first eleven editions of Treitel’s Law of Contract and has contributed to many prestigious titles including Benjamin’s Sale of Goods, Chitty on Contracts, Dicey and Morris and Conflict of Laws.

Sir Guenter was formerly Vinerian Professor of Law at Oxford University and was knighted in 1997 for services to law. He is Emeritus Fellow of All Souls College and of Magdalen College and an Honorary Bencher of Gray’s Inn. Francis Reynolds QC, FBA, DCL, has been a contributing author to many prestigious titles including Bowstead and Reynolds on Agency, Chitty on Contracts and Benjamin’s Sale of Goods. He is editor of The Law Quarterly Review and a Consultant Editor for Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly.
