Tom Murray, Friel Stafford

Bill Holohan is Senior Partner of Holohan Solicitors, who were awarded the Acquisitions International Magazine Award: Irish Insolvency Law Firm of the Year, 2012. Uniquely in Ireland, he is qualified as a Solicitor, Notary Public, Arbitrator, Commissioner for Oaths, Trade Mark Agent, European Community Trade Mark Practitioner, CEDR and CIArb Accredited Mediator and an as an Insolvency Practitioner. He is co-author of several books, including books on Bankruptcy Law and Practice, (Round Hall, Thomson Reuters, Second Edition, 2010) Insolvency Law in Ireland, International Rescue of Companies, Lawyers’ Professional Negligence & Insurance (Round Hall, Thomson Reuters, 2012) and most recently The Sale of Insolvent Companies and Businesses in Ireland.

Tom Murray is one of Ireland’s leading Insolvency practitioners. He is a partner in Friel Stafford. A past Irish President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, he has been engaged by all of the major accountancy bodies as an Insolvency lecturer, and was the lead presenter on the Personal Insolvency Practitioner Training courses given by ACCA and CPA Ireland. A Certified Mediator, Tom also works as mediator in the area of shareholder disputes and debt resolution. He also specialises in Forensic Accounting, with a particular interest in corporate fraud and family law.

He is a Founder Member and Committee Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners, Consultant on Insolvency to the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland and has acted as Internal and External Examiner for the Law Society Examinations on the subject of Insolvency.

Mark Sanfey, Senior Counsel

Mark Sanfey SC was called to the Bar in 1987, and became a Senior Counsel in 2004. He practises mainly in the Commercial, Chancery, Non-Jury and Insolvency areas. He is co-author with Bill Holohan of Bankruptcy Law and Practice, (Round Hall, Thomson Reuters, Second Edition, 2010) and has lectured extensively on bankruptcy law.

Charles Turner, FRP Advisory

Charles Turner has been a partner with FRP Advisory since 2010 and previously spent more than 20 years with PwC gaining a reputation in the personal insolvency sector but also undertaking a range of corporate assignments including as liquidator of an Enron company. Charles leads FRP’s personal insolvency and advisory business, including managing Irish and other cross-border assignments.

Charles is a past winner of the Insolvency Practitioner of the Year award for personal insolvency in the UK profession’s Insolvency and Rescue Awards. He is the current President of the IPA, the specialist insolvency regulator, representing the profession in a number of forum including government consultations, insolvency qualifications and in promoting strong professional standards.

This must be followed by a telephone call to us to confirm receipt. You will then be sent a refund of your delegate fee, less an administration charge of €80 for each delegate booking that is cancelled.

Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. Refunds of delegate fees for late cancellations (i.e. cancellations other than in accordance with the above paragraph) will not be given. Failure to attend the conference will constitute late cancellation and payment will still be due or forfeited if already paid.
