SWEngines reviews – What the customers say about their used engines?

Engine is the most crucial part of a vehicle. It keeps your car moving on the road, so here we have provided some basic information on the types of engines used in various vehicles. Let’s have a look at their classification. Engines can be classified based on the fuel type they run on, configuration & number of cylinders they have, and the method of ignition. Fuel Type

Based on the fuel type consumed, engines are classified as: • Diesel Engine and, • Gasoline Engine. However, alternative fuel engines are also available that run on electricity, hydrogen, propane and ethanol. Cylinders Cylinders can be positioned in two ways in the engine. These are: “V” and “Inline.” In V type, cylinders are arranged at an angle forming “V” shape while in an Inline arrangement, they are lined up in a row. Based on the vehicle and engine type, there could 3 to 12 cylinders in an engine. Higher the number of cylinders, higher the capacity of the engine will be. Ignition Fuel can be ignited in the engine in two ways: • Spark ignition, and • Compression ignition Gasoline engines are usually spark ignited while Diesel Engines are usually compression ignited. Spark ignition engines use spark plug to ignite the fuel while in compression ignition; air is compressed until the desired temperature for ignition is achieved.

This was a brief description of the classification of engines. As a car owner, you might often have faced engine problems. These problems could occur due to poor maintenance and servicing of the engine, repair with substandard parts, rough use of the engine beyond its capacity or an unfortunate accident. In such a situation, you may have to either get a new engine for your car, or a new vehicle altogether. You have one more option, which is cost effective and environment friendly too. It’s of used engines. Did you think about it till now? A used engine is way better than buying a new car that you may not be able to afford quite often, or buying a new engine. Since its value is already depreciated, you will get it at much lower price than a new one. The added advantage with the used engine is that since it’s already tried and tested, you could rely upon its performance on the roads.
