E M I T N O I T C A RE “STRICT LIABILITY (which is a rule that has endured, not been struck down, yet almost entirely ignored) is the only fair rule. It needs to be stuck to and used. Yes, you can get cross-contaminated supplements. So don’t take them, duh! If you do, as the rule says, it’s YOUR OWN RISK. The bottom line is even if an athlete is unknowingly doping, they’re still getting that competitive advantage over their opponents. That’s why half these “supplements” on the market keep customers coming back--because they know what they’re putting in there, and it ain’t the “proprietary blend” on the ingredients label.” – Motorola_Man (IOC Rule 45 Struck Down by Court of Arbitration for Sport; Door Left Open for IOC to Try Again -- October 6, 2011)

“Inga Elín Cryer set a new Icelandic national record in the 400 freestyle, with a time of 4:15.13, qualifying her for the European Short Course Championships in December. Reason enough to arrange this meet :-)” – Rokur I Jakupsstovu “This is pretty awesome... for such small, remote countries, they post some pretty fast times.” - SJT (Iceland Downs Faroe Islands, 99-81, in Short Course Meter Dual Meet -October 8, 2011)

“While this could solve the length-ofmeet issue, the real issue at hand will be the state of the warmup pool. I was at the meet in 2008, when there were around 1400 swimmers total and it was at times very difficult to get the proper warmup in. In 2012, I wouldn’t be surprised to see over 2000 swimmers. In the same warmup configuration. This promises to be a nightmare for myself and the other swimmers who need to be up and ready for multiple events.” – Russell Payne (USA Swimming Olympic Trials Should Use 10 Lanes For Prelims -- October 3, 2011)
