Social creatures

The survey also discovered that 17% of all smartphone users experience malfunctions, no doubt moaning about it online – J.D. Power say smartphone users spend an average of 115 minutes per week using social networking apps. >

APP STORE TAG ADDED

F

ollowing a glut of negative publicity over in-app purchases, a small but welcome change has been made to the App Store. All freemium apps now prominently display a small “Offers InApp Purchases” tag alongside the price. fresh from the makers of Hueless. Think your picture needs extra punch? Then adjust the contrast, seeing how it looks straight away. As you’d expect Huemore offers all the usual features you’d expect in a photo-taking app. The shutter button is here, as well as a shortcut to your gallery. But it’s the added extras that gives clever little Huemore the edge.

Hidden controls

The only problem is that the very same extras are often hidden away. Take the exposure button, which controls the black and white levels. Tap it again and you’ll uncover contrast and saturation controls. The problem is that, due to the lack of an introduction, you need to hunt these options down. There are some

Once taken, your pictures are gathered in Huemore’s photo gallery, as well as automatically copied into Photos and can be easily pushed to other apps. Unfortunately, the gallery seemed a little several times or simply containing no images even though we’d been snapping happily away. Thankfully, there were no such problem when testing on an iPhone 5, so here’s hoping the 4S issues are extremely battery hungry and quickly
