* 1976 in Zurich. Tobias Nölle studied film at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His short film RENÉ (2008) was screened at numerous festivals worldwide and won several awards such as the Pardino d’oro in Locarno for the Best Swiss Short. Nölle is one of the directors of WONDERLAND, which premiered at the Festival del film Locarno 2015 (International Competition). ALOYS is his first feature, which he wrote, directed and edited. It was developed at the Torino Film Lab and selected for Les Arcs “work in progress”.

Gassmann is the co-director of KARMA SHADUB (2013) as well as one of the initiators and directors of WONDERLAND, which premiered at the Festival del film Locarno 2015 (International Competition).

Ted Sieger * 1958 in Chile. Ted Sieger is a Swiss independent director, animator and designer of animation films and series, comics and picture books. Since 2004 Sieger also lectures at film schools. His short THE SMORTLYBACKS (2013) was screened and awarded at many festivals worldwide including Stuttgart, Villa do Conde, Baden, Clermont-Ferrand and Leipzig. Michael Ekbladh * 1960 in Sweden. Attended Sheridan College in Oakville. Since 1985 works as animator, designer and director for animations. Co-owner of Sluggerfilm in Malmö. Matthias Bruhn * 1962 in Germany. Studied Graphic Design at FHD (Fachhochschule Düsseldorf). Since 1998 co-owner, co-manager and art director of Trickstudio Lutterbeck. Bruhn lectured at the HSLU (Hochschule Luzern, Design & Kunst) and now works as lecturer at the school of animation La Poudrière in Valence.

Molly Monster is experiencing something new. She is no longer the centre of attention in her family. The focus has now become the egg, which Mama has laid and Papa is hatching. Little Molly’s parents have absolutely no time left for her. In Monsterland parents bring the eggs to the island to hatch them. Molly, however, must stay at home in her uncle’s care. What’s more, Molly has knitted a lovely hat for the new Monster baby and now her parents have forgotten it at home. Molly thus sets out on the long and difficult journey to the egg island.

Kacey Mottet Klein made his screen acting debut at the age of ten in Ursula Meier's HOME, winning a Swiss Film Award for Best Emerging Talent. For SISTER he received the Swiss Film Award for Best Actor as well as a César nomination. He became known to a wider audience in France after portraying the young Serge Gainsbourg in GAINSBOURG: A HEROIC LIFE. At 16, Kacey decided to concentrate on his acting career and has since played leads for films such as KEEPER by Guillaume Senez or BEING 17 by André Téchiné.

Taking centre stage in the film is a small notebook, an ordinary exercise book with fancy racing cars on the cover. But in place of vocabulary, its pages are filled with courageous testimonies by 300 Central African women and girls. They reveal what was done to them by Congolese mercenary soldiers in the course of military disputes in October 2002. The notebook is their self-made piece of evidence to indict the crimes of rape committed against them.

Specogna is known for her award-winning documentaries CARTE BLANCHE (2011), THE GOALGETTER’S SHIP (2010) and THE SHORT LIFE OF JOSÉ ANTONIO GUTIERREZ (2006). She works as a lecturer in documentary filmmaking at the Film Academy BadenWürttemberg in Ludwigsburg.

* 1960 in Germany. Michael Schindhelm is a writer, filmmaker, performing arts expert and cultural advisor for international organisations. He worked also as playwright, television presenter and translator. His previous film BIRD’S NEST (2008), co-directed with Christoph Schaub, on the Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron in China was screened at several international festivals.

The Swiss Uli Sigg had an impact on China’s shifting economic policy after the Mao era. He has also established the world’s most significant collection of contemporary Chinese art. The majority of this collection will be transferred to Hong Kong’s M+ museum, due to open in 2019. Alex, a young man of Chinese descent, feels like a free man on the top of a mountain, with his French girlfriend. But he suddenly has to face the mysterious death of his brother. He returns to his family in the Chinese district of Paris. The rites and tradition he is unable to follow reveal the full extent of his estrangement from his father’s heritage. With the help of his beautiful and disturbing cousin Lily, and coping with his own ignorance of his father’s culture and language, he tries to unravel a family secret. Will he be strong enough to forgive the past and to reconcile with his family?
