“My friends and I stayed at Allmend apartments for 4 nights in 2017. These twin towers are just 12 mins away by bus from Lucerne’s main station with the bus stop right opposite them, thus making sightseeing and day trips really convenient. The small balcony allowed us to enjoy our meals with a view of the mountains. A big plus point is the “Migros”

“Travelling during the peak season (end May), when most accommodation in Switzerland is either sold out or expensive, the apartment in Basel was a pleasant surprise. “A stay in the Niederdorf area of Zurich was just perfect for our group of friends. We stayed in a studio apartment that had a view of the river. All the main sights of the Old Town and Zurich’s main station could be reached on foot. We also managed to visit the Rhine Falls, Basel and Lucerne during our 4 night holiday. Just a word of caution-the Niederdorf area is very lively and can therefore get a bit noisy at night especially over the weekend.

“ Rigi
is far from being the tallest peak in
Switzerland but for me it was definitely the "high" in my trip. I visited in December when the peak was covered in soft powder snow. The jaw-dropping

the

Lucerne region with its lakes and mountains is etched in my memory. The train journey from Vitznau in a vintage carriage of a steam train was fascinating. After a meal in the self service restaurant, we made our way down and back to Lucerne. I only wish I had made the time to visit the Free with Swiss Pass
