Registration

To ensure enrollment, please register as soon as possible and no later than one week prior to the start date of the class (unless otherwise noted by the class) as space is limited. You can request to be added to the waiting list of full classes. Tuition fees are due in full at time of enrollment. Class fees will not be pro-rated for later enrollment. Classes are open to everyone ages 16 and above, unless otherwise noted. SSA reserves the right to refuse enrollment or dismiss any student for behavior that is disruptive or unacceptable in a learning environment.

Registration Policies & Guidelines Cancellations, Refunds, Withdrawals & Transfers SSA reserves the right to cancel, combine, reschedule classes, or change class instructors when necessary. Tuition will be refunded 100% for canceled classes. If SSA cancels a class for any reason, all registered students will be informed as soon as possible and will be given the opportunity to transfer to another class with no transfer fee applied. A $45 withdrawal fee and a $25 transfer fee will be charged per class for changes made by students. Notice of withdrawal by a student must be made in writing and received no later than seven days prior to the first day of class. Notice of withdrawal for SPECIAL CLASSES must be made two weeks prior to the class. No refunds will be made for withdrawals made after those times. Failure to attend classes or verbal notification will not be regarded as an official notice of withdrawal.

Continuing Professional Education Credit SSA is a registered Continuing Professional Education provider. If you are a teacher seeking CPE hours, please be sure to inform us at the time you register. You will receive a letter confirming completed contact hours at the end of the term.

Online Classes Online classes will be conducted using Google Classroom and Google Meet. Students must have wi-fi access, a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a camera and microphone function. Registered students will receive an individual SSA account email which will securely allow them into the class for which they are registered.

Studio Classes At this time, students and faculty are required to wear a mask at all times while in the building and studios. Students will be updated on our COVID safety protocols prior to spring classes beginning. Please follow safety protocols specific to each studio/classroom space. The studios are a place of learning; use of the studios for commercial production work is discouraged. All classes are taught at SSA's downtown campus at 300 Augusta St. or 1201 Navarro St. unless otherwise noted. Open studio for enrolled online students is available and varies by department. At this time, studios may be restricted to set times specific to your class. Please check with your instructor. Students are asked to respect everyone’s personal space and keep a safe distance from peers and instructors and respect personal property and SSA studio property. If you feel sick, please stay home and inform your instructor or the registration office. Students will make a variety of book structures using traditional and contemporary bookbinding techniques. This class will cover how to use bookbinding tools and equipment for making handbound books, and an overview of materials and resources. We will discuss methods of creating limitededition books and one-of-a-kind bindings. Students will make a traditional hardcover book, a historical Coptic sewn book, and innovative sculptural books, and leave with a wellrounded set of bookbinding models. Get your feet wet in this introductory class and explore what handmade paper is all about. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the papermaking process, from breaking down fibers and creating paper pulp to adding color to the paper pulp and using stencils and vails to create paper samples to take home. Combine with a bookbinding class and learn to incorporate your handmade papers into book covers or pages.

A flag book has an expandable spine with layers of paper “flags” that pop out, making it a delightful structure for evoking movement and action. Tunnel books, also known as “peep show” books, expand for a dramatic three-dimensional effect through layered cut-out panels. Students will complete a finished book of both structures, plus models and ideas for variations. Includes some materials. See SSA website for a materials list of required tools. Mon, Mar 7 & 14 | 6:00 – 9:00pm Droste Studio | Santikos Building Tuition: $160 (Friends: $145) | 2 sessions SPECIAL CLASS | All Levels 4113 | Miniature Book with Imprinted Clay Cover Mary Randolph Create a truly unique and original miniature book. Using polymer clay, make your own texturally imprinted book covers with a relief photopolymer plate that you will also create. Photopolymer plates are created by exposing images from text or your own drawings & designs, and then developed using a solar approach to create a relief plate. On the second day, these plates will be used to imprint your image into the surface of polymer clay for book covers. Once the polymer clay has hardened from firing, it can be embellished by sanding, carving, and painting the surface. The third day will be dedicated to finishing the book covers, then using Fabriano paper pages, binding them together utilizing a Coptic two-needle stitch. Includes some materials. The deckle is the frame that defines the edge of the paper as it’s made. This class will cover how to decorate and apply texture to the paper as well as how pulp painting can be used as a decorative process. Intermediate/Advanced 6093 | Encaustic Painting: Beyond the Basics Michelle Belto This three-day advanced encaustic workshop is designed for experienced encaustic or cold wax artists who would like to refine their work, explore new directions, or expand their skills in painting with wax. Individual direction and development of a personal vision will be the goal of this class. Through guided exercises, informal group discussion, and individual support, students will push the boundaries of their work by developing material that is layered in content and concept. Safe studio practices and refresher demonstrations will be available as needed. Prerequisite: Previous encaustic experience. Cosponsored by R&F Paint, students will receive sample materials. Learn to design and execute your own ceramic tiles! The principles and elements of design such as line, shape, form, balance, negative space, and depth will be discussed through lectures and studio practice. Tiles will be produced using midrange stoneware clay, which will be fired using cone 6 glazes in an electric kiln. Tools and clay will be available for purchase from the studio. Prerequisite: Students must have completed a minimum of one Introduction to Handbuilding or Wheel Throwing course. Intermediate/Advanced 1066 | Sculptural Handbuilding: Tree of Life Cecilia Castro-Hancock & Andy Bally A Tree of Life or Árbol de la Vida is a narratively themed clay sculpture, traditional to central Mexico, which often depicts Biblical and indigenous mythology stories. Trees will be formed, nine to 18-inches tall, and then sculpted imagery will be added. Castro-Hancock will lead the class in developing a narrative using traditional imagery and Bally will work with students who wish to create a more contemporary theme. Various handbuilding methods from the use of the extruder and slab roller to sprig molds will be covered, as well as various types of adhesives and options for alternative cold finishes. A low-fire grog clay body, along with low-temperature, cone 05 glazes and underglazes for a bright color palette will be used. Prerequisite: Students must have completed a minimum of two Introduction to Handbuilding courses. Tuition covers glaze materials and kiln firing; however, students should anticipate additional fees for clay, specific glazes, and some tools. *See Ceramics Note. This class will focus on a form’s glazed surface and the many application techniques that may be used—from wax resist, glaze spraying applications, to the layering of glazes. The goal of this class is experimentation and persistence in glazing to get an understanding of how cone 10 glazes work in a high-fire gas kiln. Work from a series of small handbuilt or thrown forms and progress to larger forms as you experiment. The instructor will work with each student to assist in the creation of their personal ideas. Students will move beyond using drawing merely to render objects accurately and will come to view drawing as a challenging vehicle for expression of both form and narrative. Bring a sketchbook or drawing pad (size 11 by 14 or 18 by 24-inches) and a selection of pencils and an eraser; additional materials will be discussed at the first class. All Levels 8011 | Watercolor Painting Jeannette MacDougall & Scott Cooper This class is for both the first-time painter, as well as students who would like to learn more about the various approaches to painting in this very direct medium. Demonstrations will be given on how to paint wet-on-wet washes, dry-on-wet washes and with a dry brush. Color theory as it relates to watercolor will be discussed. Intermediate level students, while developing an independent vision, will learn ways to improve their painting skills through advanced demonstration, practice, and critique. Intermediate 8025 | The Figure in Drawing Andrei Renteria This course offers a combination of traditional and alternative approaches to the body in art. Students will explore various interpretations of the human form, from representation to abstraction. To develop their personal style, students will work from live models and personal images, using a variety of drawing materials, basic monochromatic water-based media, and various experimental techniques. Bring an 18 by 24-inch newsprint pad, a selection of pencils, and an eraser to the first class; additional materials will be discussed at that time. Model fees are included. Painting is an ideal class for the beginning student who wants a structured approach to painting with acrylic paints. The class will cover color mixing, paint application, selection and use of brushes, and other painting tools, as well as painting composition. Learn to blend traditional and non-traditional materials and incorporate them into a finished painting using different sourced materials including fabric and collage textile paper to construct a portrait utilizing different colors and values. This class offers a non-traditional, fresh approach to an old traditional medium. Learn how to create vivid pastel paintings by exploring basic techniques and a variety of underpainting formulas. Students will learn the versatility of using soft pastels by experimenting and using various art mediums, tools, and supports. Prerequisite: Some drawing experience is helpful. Experience the unique graphic richness offered by relief printmaking and without the use of a printing press. Various techniques in printmaking using water-soluble block inks will be explored. Learn about relief printing with different substrates, carving, utilizing natural materials, and found textures, and try different methods for transferring the images to paper. Reduction techniques with linoleum and registration of colors will be demonstrated. This course will enable you to print editions in the comfort of your home, studio, or classroom all without a press. See SSA website for materials list.

Investigate the materials and techniques of oil painting as you acquaint yourself with the medium. Emphasis on developing a personal style of painting, as well as working on composition and the principles for completing a well-executed painting will be covered. Students will follow a basketry pattern to weave a flat reed basket step-by-step—building the base of the basket, weaving the walls, and finishing the rim. Students will integrate both minimal color and woven patterns into their basket using dyed black and natural reed. Instruction will focus on covering basic techniques such as start/stop row, twining, plaiting, twill, and lashing. Intermediate 3024 | Metal Skills 2: Etching and Bezel Setting Sarah T. Roberts

What does it take to make a ring? Construction of handmade rings will be the focus of this two-day workshop. Students will learn about the basic techniques of working with non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, and silver), basic hand tools, forging, forming, silver-soldering, surface embellishment, and finishing techniques. In two days, students should expect to walk away with at least two finished projects. *See Metals Supplies Note. Please bring a bag lunch both days. Students can select and purchase metal for their projects in class.

In this follow-up course to Basic Skills.1, students will hone their sawing, soldering, forming, and surface finishing skills and apply those basic metalsmithing techniques to more complex projects. Demonstrations will include how to etch a pattern or texture into metal, how to create a bezel for a stone setting, and how to make jump rings and chains to complete a wearable object. Learn the basics of table-making by building an end table for your home. You will have the opportunity to laminate a hardwood top, cut tapered legs, and join table aprons to legs using simple joinery methods. The class will give you handson experience with both power and hand tools, including the table saw, band saw, jointer, thickness planer, drill press, router, hand planes, card scrapers, and chisels. Includes some materials; see SSA website for a list of items needed and please bring a bag lunch.

This course is designed to take you through the seven basic elements of blacksmithing incorporating those techniques into one finished piece, as well as understanding the ergonomics of forging. From these seven, you can branch out to more complicated forms of metalworking. Relying almost entirely on hand tools—using a forge, anvil, and hammer—create something both of form and function such as a bottle opener, door pulls, trivet, or wall hook. YTL U CAF ROBERT BALFOUR is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and the University of Georgia. He has been a woodworker for 14 years and is the owner and operator of Revival Woodcraft, a custom furniture and cabinetry business. He specializes in hand tool woodworking and antique reproduction. He has developed a makerspace with interest in the intersection of craft and community development. ANDRE BALLY received a BS in Landscape Architecture/Design from Texas A&M University with further studies at Sam Houston State University. He has been working with clay for over 35 years and, having a specific interest in surface textures, has been utilizing sandblasting in his work in ceramics and glass for the past 20 years. Bally’s work can be found on exhibit in private collections in Canada, Europe, North Africa, and the United States. MICHELLE BELTO is a multi-faceted artist and teacher, whose work as an artist, educator and author spans more than thirty years, three continents and thirteen publications. She holds degrees and certifications in Fine Art, Theater, and Expressive Arts. Belto is a CORE teacher for R&F Paints and her current teaching schedule includes instruction in her signature work with paper and wax and her life’s work developing an insightful process for deciphering meaning and purpose from the art we create. Belto’s work is in private, corporate, and museum collections. JOHN BOGOVICH began his endeavor into ceramics in 1998 at The University of Hawaii, Honolulu and it has turned into a love affair. He has volunteered with and taught both adults and children at a few small studios in Portland, OR, San Antonio, TX, and at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. Alongside ceramics, Bogavich paints murals, creates furniture, and has worked as a carpenter. SABRA BOOTH holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA from the University of Houston. Booth was a Fulbright Scholar to Finland and has been awarded numerous grants. She has traveled and sketched extensively in Europe, Mexico, and Japan. Her studio practice offers interpretative observations of nature, often relevant to ecological concerns, in a variety of mediums. Booth has done free-lance illustrations for educational publications and special projects with the City of San Antonio Department of Arts and Culture and the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.

JERRY CABRERA has an MFA in Painting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a BFA in Painting from Texas State University. He has received grants from the National Association for Latino Arts and Culture, The Texas Cultural Collaborative and was nominated for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Artist Grant in 2011. Cabrera’s work is included in the Neiman-Marcus Collections in eight cities and seven states as well as the AT&T Center Collection. CECILIA CASTRO-HANCOCK, a native of Mexico, graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. She earned a certificate in Ceramics at the Southwest School of Art and has been a ceramic artist for over 25 years. Her work has been in multiple collective and individual exhibits in the U.S. and Mexico and has been the recipient of several awards. NANCY CAVENDER-GARCIA earned her BFA and MFA degrees in Photography at the University of New Mexico. She has extensive experience in non-silver processes, hand-coloring photographs and pinhole photography. Cavender received the SSA 2005 Award for Teaching. SCOTT COOPER holds an MFA in Web Design and New Media and Illustration from Academy of Art University, and a BFA in Media Communications from School of Visual Arts. Both a painter and multi-talented graphic designer, he is currently a Graphic Design Professor at The Art Institute of San Antonio. MICHAEL CORNEY received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and his BA from Cal State University Fullerton. Raised in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, he was influenced by the bright colors of nature and the vibrant cultures that surrounded him. He has taught workshops at Anderson Ranch, Penland School of Crafts, and Santa Fe Clay. In addition to numerous exhibitions, his work can be found in permanent collections at The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, The Ceramic Research Center at Arizona State University Museum, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the Racine Museum of Art and the Boise Museum of Art.

JEAN DAHLGREN creates art by layering dye and paint on fine cloth that allows light and shadow to add the “end” to each story. Her story cloths have been exhibited in galleries throughout Texas. The love of these processes has led Dahlgren to teach both curious beginners and advanced fiber artists.

AMANDA DOMINGUEZ owns and operates Digital Pro Lab, a full-service photo lab located in San Antonio, specializing in image archiving and printing. Dominguez has a BA in History from the University of the Incarnate Word. With over 15+ years of experience teaching printing, photo editing, and image archiving, she is dedicated to helping photo takers of all levels document the world and their point of view through photography. KALDRIC DOW is a leading African American artist working in portraiture paying acute attention to skin tone and lighting. Employing knowledge of intersection between art history, representation of current culture, and dynamics of color theory, he produces contemporary and relevant work which can be found in a myriad of public and private art collections throughout the United States. NORMAN ENGEL has an MFA from Florida Atlantic University in Computer Animation and a BA in Fine Art from Morehead State University. He has been a medical illustrator and photographer, has done animation work on many national and international video productions, and is currently a Lead Instructor at The Art Institute of San Antonio. Engel is a painter, and his work is in many private collections and galleries worldwide. ED ESCOBEDO holds a BFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a concentration in ceramics and sculpture. His studio practice includes working with ceramics, found objects and mixed media which he incorporates into sculptural and utilitarian vessels addressing themes of humor and absurdity. He has exhibited work in numerous group shows locally and nationally, including the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA. TODD FICHTER earned his BFA in photography from Southwest Missouri State University. Fichter is a full-time graphic designer. He and his wife, Kellie, are the primary creative force behind Fishead Design Studio & Microgallery. MICHAEL FOERSTER has a BFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a concentration in ceramics and has studied at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. His ceramic sculptures focus on themes of innocence, the passage of time, cynicism, and absurdity using cartoony forms and vibrant colors scarred by the effects of pit firing. He has exhibited locally and nationally including creating temporary and permanent public art pieces in San Antonio, and is currently a visual arts instructor at SAY Sí. ANTHONY FRANCIS earned his MFA from the Academy of Art University in Photography. He has shown artwork nationally and is a lecturer at Texas State University. CASEY GALLOWAY - Fibers Department Coordinator received a BFA in Fibers from the University of North Texas in Denton. A 2007 Kuhlman Foundation scholarship allowed her to travel and research Scandinavian weaving. She is an installation artist as well as a traditional weaver.

Alejandra Salinas Pérez

MARIA GOULD holds an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO and a BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University, Alfred, NY. She has been passionately making art, encompassing a variety of media, as a studio artist, Program Director for the Arts, and an art educator for over 35 years with side gigs sewing canvas work for boats and raising a pair of phenomenal twins. She is presently an art teacher with East Central ISD. NANCY HENEGHAN holds a BFA in Fibers from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls. She previously was the Studio Programs Coordinator at Southwest School of Art. Heneghan has taught art to adults and children in a variety of settings, including SSA’s Mobile Arts Program. NINA “SAM” HIBLER holds a BS from Stephen F. Austin State University. She was introduced to flame working when creating glass laboratory tools. Her background in science adds a wealth of knowledge to the nuances of glass art. Hibler is owner of Dream Fire Glass and specializes in the creation of one-of-a kind beads. GREGORY ALAN JOHNSON received his MFA in Printmaking and Drawing at Texas Tech University and his BFA with a concentration in printmaking at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. He also studied art at San Jacinto Junior College before earning a degree in business at Texas State University. JO ETTA JUPE has been a papermaker for over 30 years and continues to explore new techniques with the medium. She has taught workshops on making paper from botanical plants as well as workshops in wet collage and basic papermaking. Jupe has shown her work throughout Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Washington, DC. She holds a degree in computer science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. JEANNETTE MACDOUGALL is a studio artist in mixed media and encaustic painting. She has worked as an art educator for over 30 years. Currently, she is the curator and gallery owner of studio | COMFORT TEXAS in Comfort, TX. MacDougall is a former Resident Director at Moulin a Nef, an arts residency program in Auvillar, France and lives in the Texas Hill Country.

TOBIN NIETO has over 17 years’ experience and training in blacksmithing and has been teaching one-on-one bladesmithing privately. Nieto competed in and won Season Two, Episode Eight of the History Channel’s show Forged in Fire. LISA NIGRO holds an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Texas at Austin and a BFA in Painting from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Nigro is an interdisciplinary, multi-media artist working in painting, sculpture, and interactive installation art. She has produced large scale sculptures and installations for Burning Man and other festivals, including the Houston Art Car Parade. ALEJANDRA SALINAS PÉREZ is a metalsmith and emerging curator, born in the United States and raised in Mexico. Standing between two cultures, she combines her personal history with a contemporary perspective, translating her experiences into metal objects and jewelry. Her work explores boundaries, both physical and conceptual, as she attempts to materialize a sense of resilience and hope. Salinas is a previous SSA metals artist-in-residence. JOSHUA PÉREZ has a BFA from University of Texas at San Antonio. He documents life as it happens, focusing on culture and ritual and the human experience. Pérez is able to explore these elements by looking to the street and everyday life for inspiration. Pérez develops his own black and white film and prints in his personal darkroom. LAURA QUIÑONES received a BFA in Metals and Graphic Design from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has also studied with master metalsmiths in San Miguel de Allende, Oaxaca, Taxco, Mexico City, and San Antonio. Quiñones grew up in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and has been an independent studio jewelry designer since 1992. RAINEY studied art at the University of Texas at San Antonio and was the recipient of the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Primer Paso Fellowship. She has also taught in SSA’s Teen Intensive Studio, Mobile Arts Program, and Summer Art Studios. Rainey received the SSA 2008 Award for Teaching. She is a private painting instructor and former gallery owner. MARY RANDOLPH has been a papermaker for 25 years, during which time she studied many areas of Western and Japanese papermaking. Paper led her into related arts for printmaking, letterpress, and bookbinding, studying at the San Antonio Art Institute, Flatbed Press, and Southwest School of Art. She utilizes her paper in miniature artist books that are often embellished with polymer and precious metal clays. ANDREI RENTERIA is an artist and vagabond, working in drawing, painting, lithography, sculpture, and assemblage. Born in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, his work reflects his strong and longstanding interest in socio-political issues along the U.S./Mexico border. Renteria received his BFA from Sul Ross State University and his MFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. SARAH T. ROBERTS received her MFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from Texas Tech University with a secondary emphasis in digital photography. Her work explores the relationship between art and the human form through the creation of sculpture, photography, and video, and has been selected for many national exhibitions. She is co-director of Clamp Light Artist Studios and Gallery.

MARC ROSENTHAL is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas Fine Arts Program and has a Lifetime Teacher Certification from the University of Houston. A sculptor and potter, Rosenthal has created works that range from small scale pieces six-inches high to public artwork 85 feet in length. He studied pottery and kiln building with Paul Soldner at Anderson Ranch. Marc is a co-founder of Clay Arts Vegas, a thriving ceramic studio in downtown Las Vegas. J. ALEX RUIZ is a bladesmith who began his journey as a blacksmith, making tools and decorative ironwork before branching out into bladesmithing. He is also the Season Five, Episode 13 Champion on History Channel's Forged in Fire and his work has been featured in Blade Magazine, S.A. Magazine, Texas Lifestyle Magazine, Out Here Magazine, and others. KIMBERLY RUMFELT received her MFA in Studio Art from East Carolina University where she was an Instructor of Record, Studio Technician, and a Teaching Assistant of Design. She received her BFA from Texas Tech University. She is currently working with NEISD and teaches both beginning and Advanced Placement sculpture students at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School.

LACEY MILLS received her MFA in Printmaking from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia and her BFA in Painting and Drawing from The University of Texas at El Paso. Her work deals with social and gender roles, using printmaking as a basis for her largescale pieces. She has exhibited in Mexico, Italy, and throughout the United States.

RAMIN SAMANDARI has been a fine art photographer for the past 20 years. He has owned and operated his studio, Magical Realism, since 1998. His work has been in numerous solo and group exhibitions and is in the permanent collections of the San Antonio Museum of Art and University of Texas at San Antonio. KERI MIKI–LANI SCHROEDER is a book artist and edition bookbinder. She holds an MFA in Book Art & Creative Writing from Mills College and is the proprietor of Coyote Bones Press. She has worked at Flying Fish Press (Berkeley, CA) and BookLab II (San Marcos, TX) as a book artist and edition binder. Schroeder’s work can be found in special collections libraries and is the 2019–2020 Salzberg Artist-in-Residence for the Jaffe Center for Book Arts at Florida Atlantic University. She hosts a book arts podcast called Books in the Wild. KATE TERRELL received her MFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She teaches a variety of artrelated subjects, including creative dance and lectures about art for adult education. For Terrell, drawing has been a mainstay while making sculptures and paintings throughout her life as an artist. SAM VELASQUEZ holds a BFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio; he attended Palo Alto College where he discovered his love for painting before transferring to UTSA. He has also been invited to participate in numerous group exhibitions, including at Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum and, most recently, at Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s Educational and Cultural Arts Center. SARITA WESTRUP received her MFA in Fibers from the University of North Texas. Rooted in basketry techniques and bricolage, her works are inspired by where she was born and raised—the Rio Grande Valley of South on the Texas-Mexico border. Westrup’s work has been exhibited widely, including recent exhibitions at Toe River Art Council in North Carolina, Wayne Art Center in Pennsylvania, Kentucky Museum in Bowling Green, the Nasher Sculpture Museum, and the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas. Publications include American Craft Magazine, Surface Design Journal, and Basketry + Magazine. LARRY WEST owns and operates Dragonfire Hot Glass Studio. West has a BA in Art Education from Kent State University and has studied at the Pilchuck Glass School. He is an art teacher for the Northside Independent School District. LYN WOODS received a certificate in ceramics from Southwest School of Art in 2007. She has also studied ceramics at Anderson Ranch.
