I am passionate about art and helping people. I am pursuing architecture as a profession because I see it as a career path where the two meet. Buckminster Fuller once said, “When I’m working on a problem, I never think about beauty. But when I’ve finished, if the solution is not beautiful I know it’s wrong.” nursyafiqah.sobrii@gmail.com +60 182323141 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

SALES GALLERY URBAN DESIGN
A CSR initiative, evident of the developer’s sense of social responsibility in responding to current concerns of an environment that is not only eco-friendly but one that is healthy, practical, safe and beautifully landscaped, and complete with facilities that will appease any urban family looking for either a recreational oasis to wind down over a suburban weekend, or even a daily work-out to whittle away the worries of a day of urban stress. Most importantly, these communal facilities take into account the current recreational needs of the immediate community living within the surrounding residences who are mostly using the existing facilities within plot 1 [Bukit Komanwel site] so as to seamlessly address public concerns for developing Bukit Jalil Sentral as a whole.
PLANNING CONCEPT Sustaining the landscaped greenery then became a priority planning principle, and incorporated into the site planning scheme, and then taken for its main design theme in determining the planning of both the interior [buildings] and exterior [courtyard] spaces.

Special mention needs to be highlighted for the filtered ‘foliage canopy’ of the internal ‘street’ which aims to emulate a walk or jogging run under a tree-clustered cloud of daylit jungle-track. The gallery itself houses 3 units of a fullscaled mock-up accommodation and/ or commercial facilities off a mezzanine floor, complete with sales office facilities required to complete property purchase deals – all amidst ample creaturecomfort components including a cafeteria/ bar, a children nursery and mini-library and, of course, discussion and meeting rooms.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN
It’s road frontage elevation facing Jalan Merah Cagar takes maximum advantage of a ‘shop-front’, with a lightweight aluminium screen perforated to the theme of a forest silhouette which exudes the impression of a ‘green’ sustainable development. The overall graphic street-front imagery, then, describes hints of a humane-scaled and socially-conscientious development scheme taking shape of a vibrant future of Bukit Jalil Sentral.

The jogging track is a basic but necessary facility. The 1km tracking route cuts across a terrain starting alongside the riverine boundary to the west heading north and curls itself around the site’s existing lake to a continued perimeter run that winds itself through an internal ‘street’ of the Sales Gallery.
