ARTIST STATEMENT My vision is to be a well-rounded artist, fluent in everything. I believe to take away one’s creativity and exploration is to limit one’s self. I am not only a creator, I am also an innovator. Initially, hand lettering and graffiti were my gateway into art. My illegible handwriting in the fifth grade, led me to printing out various sheets of “cute handwriting” and “graffiti alphabets”. I would practice the printed sheets and then develop my own “stylized” alphabets. The fun of creating and experimenting pushed me deeper into art and studying different techniques. Most of the time, nothing is planned or premeditated; I just dive right into illustrating and see where and how far I will go. I let my ideas flow on the paper freely. If it’s something I like, I push it further, If it’s not something I like, I keep sketching. Most of my sketches are heavily linebased. The sense of vitality amplifies through my drawings due to my stylization.

Veinz is a graffiti inspired, line art based streetwear brand. Similar to the veins in your body, line work is essential to the liveliness and structure of the drawing. It runs through the art piece, conveying an emotional energy depending on the line’s thickness or texture. Streetwear fashion is another outlet for my creativity. I have become a walking art piece just by composing an outfit based on mood, texture, palette, and many other elements. I chose this particular genre because it’s all about your fluidity and creativity. It reaches beyond apparel. It’s your mind, your carbon footprint, your walk; how you embody your creativity and how it embodies you.
