ABOUT STEVE JOBS

Steven Paul “Steve” Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American entrepreneur, marketer, and inventor, who was the cofounder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. Through Apple, he is widely recognized as a charismatic and design-driven pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields, transforming “one industry after another, from computers and smartphones to music and movies.” Jobs also cofounded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar. Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC’s mouse-driven graphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Apple Lisa and, a year later, the Macintosh. He also played a role in introducing the LaserWriter, one of the first widely available laser printers, to the market.

History Of Apple ➢

Apple was established on April 1, 1976, by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne [19] [20] to sell the Apple I personal computer kit, a computer single handedly designed by Wozniak. The kits were hand-built by Wozniak [21] [22] and first shown to the public at the Homebrew Computer Club. [23] The Apple I was sold as a motherboard (with CPU, RAM, and basic textual-video chips), which is less than what is today considered a complete personal computer.[24] The Apple I went on sale in July 1976 and was market-priced at $666.66 ($2,763 in 2014 dollars, adjusted for inflation).

THE WISDOM OF STEVE JOBS

“You can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new.”

MacBook Pro 筐「

The MacBook Pro is a line of Macintosh portable computers introduced in January 2006 by Apple Inc. and now in its third generation. Replacing the PowerBook G4, the MacBook Pro was the second model, after the iMac, to be announced in the Apple窶的ntel transition. It is also the high-end model of the MacBook family and is currently produced with 13and 15-inch screens, although a 17-inch version was previously offered. With a fourth-generation dual-core Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processor, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display lets you take your most performance-hungry apps on the road. That means wherever you can take your camera, you can take your entire digital photo studio. Hyper-Threading technology, which enhances performance by letting each core handle multiple tasks simultaneously, is included in every model. And with speeds up to 3.0GHz, shared L3 cache up to 4MB and Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.5GHz, these processors are ready for just about anything. The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display has the power to do even more amazing things. Fourth-generation quadcore Intel Core i7 processors provide the fastest performance ever in a MacBook Pro. You can make quick work of even the most complex tasks in professional apps like Final Cut Pro, thanks to speeds up to 2.8GHz, 6MB of shared L3 cache and Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.0GHz. And every model comes standard with 16GB of superfast 1600MHz memory. All of which means the 15-inch MacBook Pro is ready to take on whatever you can dream up, wherever your travels take you.

MacBook Air

➢ The MacBook Air is a line of Macintosh ultraportable notebook computers from

Apple Inc. The Air was designed to balance both performance and portability, consisting of a full-sized keyboard design, a machined casing made of aluminum, and a very light and thin structure. The MacBook Air is available in two sizes, with the length of the diagonal display determining the model size: 13.3-inch and 11.6-inch (or 33.78 cm and 29.46 cm, respectively). Whatever the task, fourth-generation Intel Core processors with Intel HD Graphics 5000 are up to it. From editing photos to browsing the web, everything happens ultrafast — while using less energy. And all that power is encased in an incredibly thin 1.7-centimetre unibody design that weighs only 1.08 kilograms. With the latest 802.11ac technology, MacBook Air takes Wi-Fi speeds over the top. Connect to an 802.11ac base station — including AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule — and experience wireless performance up to three times faster than the previous generation of Wi-Fi. 802.11ac also delivers expanded range, so you can work more freely than ever.

iMac

The iMac is a range of all-in-one Macintosh desktop computers designed and built by Apple Inc. It has been the primary part of Apple’s consumer desktop offerings since its introduction in 1998-08 (shipped; intro 1998-05), and has evolved through six distinct forms. ➢ In its original form, the iMac G3 had a gum-drop or eggshaped look, with a CRT monitor, mainly enclosed by a colored, translucent plastic case, which was refreshed early on with a sleeker design notable for its slot-loaded optical drive. The second major revision, the iMac G4, moved the design to a hemispherical base containing all the main components and an LCD monitor on a freely moving arm. The fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor — based on the latest Haswell architecture — is standard on iMac. It’s available at a clock speed of up to 3.4GHz. Or configure iMac with a quad-core Intel Core i7 at up to 3.5GHz. Since OS X is designed to take advantage of each core, iMac captures every bit of performance from the processor. OS X also supports Hyper-Threading in the Core i7, allowing two threads to run simultaneously on each core — giving you eight virtual cores of processing power.

iPhone

➢ Forward thinking and incredibly useful, iPhone 5s brings the future of technology to

work. With a remarkably thin and light design, the A7 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture, a fingerprint identity sensor, innovative apps for business and ultrafast wireless, iPhone 5s sets a new standard for business. ➢ The iPhone 5s has Wi-Fi and can connect to many cellular networks, including 1xRTT (represented by a 1x on the status bar) and GPRS (shown as GPRS on the status bar),EDGE (shown as a capital E on the status bar), UMTS and EV-DO (shown as 3G), a faster version of UMTS and 4G (shown as a 4G symbol on the status bar), and LTE (shown as LTE on the status bar). An iPhone can shoot video (though this was not a standard feature until the iPhone 3GS), take photos, play music, send and receive email, browse the web, send texts, GPS navigation, record notes, do mathematical calculations, and receive visual voicemail. Other functions—video games, reference works, social networking, etc.— can be enabled by downloading application programs (‘apps’); as of October 2013, the App Store offered more than one million apps by Apple and third parties and is ranked as the world’s second largest mobile software distribution network of its kind (by number of currently available applications).

IPad

iPad

All-new design So much advanced technology. Under 500 grams.

iPad and iOS 7 Beautiful design. Beautifully intergrated.

➢ You have to hold iPad to believe it.

It’s just 7.5 millimetres thin and weighs under 500 grams. The stunning Retina display sits inside thinner bezels, so all you see is your content. And an incredible amount of power lies inside the sleek enclosure. So you can do so much more. With so much less. iOS 7 was designed to take advantage of 64-bit architecture. So it’s every bit as advanced as the iPad it runs on. And with new features like smarter multitasking, Control Centre and AirDrop, iOS 7 makes the experience of using iPad even more beautiful and simple. Because iOS 7 and iPad weren’t just designed to work together, they were designed to enhance one another.
