I want to pursue in a career where art meets science, and also because I want to be the one who will be responsible for designing the space people live, work, and play in. I love how architecture can make your design plans into real life.Â

frozen

Task: To create an interactive cube that is based on an animated Disney movie as a group.

Product? Our final cube was mainly made of hard plastic

sheets to represent ice. It could be transformed into an ice castle by using the magnet mechanics, a rolling Olaf mechanism that can open up the front part of the cube, Elsa's sharp ice, and an upside-down castle of Arendelle.Â

addicted...

Task: We were supposed to create a book about

ourselves. It should be non-verbal as we should let the book speak for itself without the help of words.

Product? My initial idea was to do about my

insecurities, but I later changed it as nearly EVERYONE was going for that idea.

I chose to do about my addiction towards video games, and I chose to only include the classics; such as Tetris, Pacman, Street fighter, Mario, and Legend of Zelda.

I made sure all the elements are interactive so that the viewer will "experience" what I experienced.Â

explore nature with me Task: We were told to document and record our data from our study trip at Janda Baik in a form of a scrapbook journal. The scrapbook must present our documentation through sketches, attached photographs, written and photographic informations of elements we have encountered.

Product? I have documented a variety of things

that I have encountered during the trip, from the elements of our site, to details such as a mysterious insect that bit my lips. The theme of my journal was to express what a "typical" scrapbook would be like, from including rough sketches to using tape as a label to exaggerate the scrapbook vibe.

acuminata's habitat

Task: We were to prepare infographic

boards about our finds, data, and analysis from our nature documentary trip in Janda Baik.

Product? We have chosen a site by the river bank as we thought that there would be a lot of activities going on.

Our focus topic was the habitat system surrounding our main "host" tree called the acuminata. We have managed to document the biotic and abiotic elements.

lebuh pudu x jalan petaling

Task: Product? We were required us to prepare We were given the chance to a presentation about the built environment in Pasar Seni. We must present an assigned site of a junction from our urban environment trip and perform a site analysis on it.

experience the tangible and intangible factors of our streets, and to pick a corner from our junction, and to elaborate on it. We prepared 5 presentation boards regarding our junction, which was the area of the goldsmith, and we have also made a model of it.

analysis Task: We were to prepare presentation boards for a site

inventory and analysis of a bungalow. And from our findings, we were supposed to propose a site synthesis.

Product?

We have chosen a bungalow in the area of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Petaling Jaya. We took in the data and information from the surrounding of the bungalow, the vegetation in the garden, microclimate, visual and features of the site. After all our findings, we have made a decision on the best possible solutions to offer to the bungalow after analysing the errors of it.

english garden Task: After the group presentation, we were then

given the task to formulate a proposal regarding the landscape's design. First we must conduct a research on a landscape design based on our site synthesis. We were given to chose one type of form composition.

Product? The design concept our group has chosen is

the English Garden style, where we have to recreate the site to have a soft and romantic vibe; which includes a lot of flowers, and resting area. The design composition I have chosen is the Arc and Tangent as it fits the description of what an English Garden would look like.

the leisure of pleasure Task: We were told to prepare a proposal of Product? I have chosen option B for the layout. The chalet is located a set of orthographic drawings in a form of presentation boards for our imaginary client Ruemz Hotel. We were also to choose one of the following chalet layout options.

near Taylor's University's Lake, with the total area of 46m2. The Leisure of Pleasure is the perfect gateway for people who wants to escape the bustling city atmosphere and enjoy the tranquility of the lakeside view as the living area has a view of the lake.Â

Task: The task was to investigate and analyse our

"client" and to record all their characteristics. We will have to "imagine" them as an artist and to produce a CD cover with a songlist.

Product? My client was Drax the Destroyer from the

Guardians of the galaxy. I have recorded his characteristics, such as his appearance and personality to his relationships. The CD consists of him talking about how hard life can get, and to never give up.

one

Task: This part of the task was to do research on

towers and to put out characteristics from our client and to combine them. We were then to create 3 photomontage of the tower and explain why we chose the elements.

Product? After taking it the pieces of information from my

previous Design Process Journal, and did some research on towers, I have combined the appropriate characteristics and make sure they fit the tower's design. Like sharp edges to represent his knife mastery skills and aggression, and gravity defying looking towers to represent his unstable personality, just to name a few.

two

Task: For the final Design Process Journal, we were to prepare 3 models and to combine our character's characteristics with an architect's design principles. We would later have to present it to an external panel.Â

Product? I have somewhat managed to create 3 prototype models that has the characteristics of Drax which follows the design principles of my architect; Rem Koolhaas.Â

The 3 prototype models include; Gravity Defying, Extraction, and Levitation.

booklet Task: We were supposed to take photographs of elements according to our design booklet. For each photograph, we must analyse their components regarding their elements and principles.

For Set D and E, we must use all our design knowledge from the previous sets and use it to create a logo and a motif. The theme of our logo and motif is based on the group's name.

Product? My group's name is called Black Circle, and our

slogan is "Imperfect, yet sophisticated". The slogan portrays that our logo should look imperfect and flawed, yet still look hamonised. For the other sets, we were only supposed to take pictures around Taylor's University, DK and D'latour, and Sunway Pyramid, I mostly took pictures in Sunway Pyramid.

manipulation Task: We were told to create 2 artworks; orderly and

non-orderly, whether it being geometric or abstract. The artwork should follow the basis, principles, and significant characteristics of our choosen architect. The architect that was given to us was Rem Koolhass. We first did some basic research on him and his significant characteristics, and after that, we have made some researchers on different fabric manipulations for us to try on.

Product?

Rem Koolhaas' significant style was shifting and extraction in a way that even though it is irregular and distorted, it still gives off a harmonised vibe.

manipulation Product? This project is quite similar to

our previous assignment, but instead of doing a 2D work, we must transform it into a 3D model. We have still continue on Rem Koolhaas' shifting characteristics, which expresses movement and a twist of dynamism.

Task: We were still continuing

on with our architect's concept, and this time we met create models or cuboid to represent their significant characteristics.

We were given to play with lines, plane, and voids/spaces individually creating a model with each of those. Then we experimented on combined all of them together to create our smaller and final models. Then we were told to create presentation boards that reflect our architect. This was a silent presentation, meaning the models should be able to speak for themselves.

a destroyer's hermitage Task: We were required to create a toy display tower for our lego

character using the significant characteristics and principles of our architect from the previous assignments. We must refer to our Design Process Journals for guidance. The tower must relate to our character's focus topic for the main theme.

Product? The focus topic of Drax that I have chosen is his aggression and

his softness. First, I find the common things Drax and Rem Koolhaas has. Then, I did some researches on what aggression and softness are and how they are portrayed, and combine it with Rem Koolhaas' design principles and concepts.Â

Draft models and sketched of "aggression" and "knife mastery".

I started looking at sharp edges and bumpy surfaces as they represent tension, which agitates people. And soft surfaces, which shows gentleness and tranquility. Later, we were then supposed to make presentation boards that should also include the characteristics of our architect's principles and our focus points. The place of Drax's tower is located on a very high mountain near the moon. As Drax would always view the moon to remind him of his daughter and, mourn and brood about his family.

The making of the final tower model.
