Where Go the Boats? Boats set sail and float on, “Away down the river / A hundred miles or more,” passing sandy shores and green trees, to be admired by others. Readers will delight in this fold-out board book edition of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic children’s verse, accompanied here by wistful yet lighthearted artwork by Chris Sheban.
Known for such classic works as Treasure Island and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevenson (1850–94) was a popular Scottish poet, playwright, novelist, and historian. Chris Sheban has illustrated a number of notable children’s books for Creative Editions, including Beyond the Stars, What to Do with a Box, I Met a Dinosaur, and A Night on the Range. His work has been honored with three gold and three silver medals from the Society of Illustrators. He lives near Chicago.
