Milliken Obex® range of mats and matting Designed for the effective control of dirt and moisture in areas of high pedestrian traffic, this colour coordinated range provides design continuity throughout the installation. Comprising Prior™ and Forma™ inter-compatible modular tiles and Atrium Plus™ , which is available in textile rolls or as individually cut lengths. Introduction Syncros Entrance Matting Systems is one of the UK's main distributors and installers of Milliken’s range of entrance matting and other flooring products. Prior and Forma tiles can be used together in a single installation, either with one used as a border style or with both used throughout the installation. Prior™ Application Prior™ is for use as a primary or outdoor matting and is suitable for matwells or surface mounting with the Obex® edging system in areas with intense levels of pedestrian traffic. Description The tiles are flexible and this structure aids drainage and allows particulate dirt to fall through. Tiles are of open or closed construction, with a heel-safe circle design. Prior™ is 100% recyclable at end of life. Composition, manufacture Manufactured from UV-resistant PVC. Dimensions 200 x 200 mm 195 x 195 mm when in use; available in 11 mm and 16 mm gauges. Weight is approx. 11 mm (closed) 5.4kg/m2 16 mm (open) 7.1kg/m2 16 mm (closed) 9.3kg/m2 Friction complies with DIN 53375-B. Fire resistance complies with BS 4790. FR version has Cfl S2 fire classification. Gases Resistance to ozone is 50 pphm at 30°C. Heat Working temperature is -30°C to +50°C. Light Tiles are proof against UV light. Forma™ Application Forma™ is designed for internal use in matwells or surface-mounting using the Obex® edging system, and is suitable for areas with intense levels of pedestrian traffic. Description Forma™ tiles comprise textile inserts set within trays moulded into a Prior™ tile base. Tiles are of open or closed construction, with a heel-safe circle design between the textile inserts. Forma™ is 86% recyclable at end of life. ® Registered Trademark
Composition, manufacture The tile is manufactured from UV-resistant PVC, whilst the textile is an anti-static polyamide 6.6 of mono and multi-filaments in a high twist and heat set pile (patented textile construction). Dimensions 200 x 200 mm 195 x 195 mm when in use. Available in 11 mm or 16 mm gauges. Weight is approx 6.9 kg/m² 11 mm (closed) 16 mm (open) 9.1 kg/m² 16 mm (closed) 10.4 kg/m² Pile weight is approx. 1075 g/m² Fire resistance complies with BS 4790 and BS 5287. FR version has Cfl S2 fire classification. Heat Working temperature is -30°C to +50°C. Light Tiles are lightfast to level > 6 on the blue scale: Xenotest ISO 105-B02. Accessories for both Prior™ and Forma™ The Obex® surface mounting edging system comprises 400 mm long strips of black PVC which connect onto 2 tiles at a time. Alternative aluminium edging systems and T bars for matting sections are also available.
Milliken Forma™ and Prior™ entrance matting offers the ability to create unique designs for installation. Composed of individual tiles that lock together, tiles with different colour infills can be used together to create numerous design options.
