Rootex is a Content Marketing Agency that is made up of a blend of talented creatives and marketing experts in order to give clients the highest return on their marketing dollars. Pablo Casilimas founded Rootex in late 2015 while he was an undergraduate student at the University of Florida. He started it because he had an undying curiosity to answer the question: What makes a business succeed rather than fail? He knew that if he could figure that out, he could help numerous other businesses thrive while growing his own. From the start, he had a conviction that video-content was an extremely powerful medium for a brand to tell their story, and that it was only becoming more relevant. He bought his first camera with $1500 he had saved up during an internship and started creating videos for non-profits and UF departments to build his portfolio and brand.

In 2017, Pablo met his mentor Marty, who taught him the importance of being a great leader and the power of being a great listener. Pablo used the principles he learned from Marty to assemble a team of the most talented creatives and marketers he could find in the area. Pablo and Marty now have a podcast together called the Art of Biz, where they share the stories of distinct entrepreneurs, their successes, failures and the lessons they’ve learned along their journeys.
At its core, Rootex operates on the principle that if we can help our clients serve their target audiences, our clients will thrive and we will too as a result. If you’re in business, it’s because you’re either fulfilling a need or solving somebody’s problem. At Rootex, it’s our mission to help your organization connect with as many of those people as possible.
Our agency follows the same advice we give our clients, “Building a brand is a long term game, and we’re not looking for quick, easy wins - we’re looking for long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. “, says Pablo.
The reason most of our business at Rootex comes from repeat clients and referrals is because we always make an effort to over-deliver for our clients. Even with all of the growth Rootex has experienced, Pablo still makes room on his schedule to give free consultations to businesses in need of direction and we continue to sponsor community events because we believe in giving back.
Rootex is thriving today because we consistently help our clients cut through all the noise. Our clients are like family, and after they’ve hired us once, they typically work with us again. We help our clients grow their businesses through content creation, social media management and PR campaigns. For content needs, our specialty is video-production and photography, but we also provide graphic design, copywriting & webdevelopment. For increasing sales and exposure, we provide fully automated Ad, PR and email campaigns.

Before deciding what will benefit a client most, we always begin by asking questions and doing research on their business and target audience. We then come up with a marketing strategy and begin to execute.
Since Rootex was founded, we’ve always believed there was something special about Gainesville. We found that whenever we reached a roadblock, there was always an entrepreneur, mentor or resource there to help us. Not only that, but there are some ingenious innovations, products and technologies being created right here in our backyard.
In February 2019, Pablo met Sven from Global Village, at Startup Week Tampa Bay. After a five minute conversation, Rootex and Global Village had a verbal agreement to partner up and create Innovate Gainesville, a coffee-table book showcasing the top thought-leaders, innovations, tech, startups and developments in the area. The book is projected to launch in 2020.
