Dynamic o-ring is constantly cleaned in service by centrifugal action which prevents any hang-up due to paper stock while isolating springs.

The Zero Flush Seal is the latest in a long line of Chesterton technological innovations for the pulp and paper industry.From cartridge seals, self-aligning component seals and split seals, Chesterton has revolutionized sealing in the pulp and paper industry. Our years of experience sealing pumps in the pulp and paper industry have been incorporated into the Zero Flush (ZF) seal.The ZF seal has many advancements that allow it to seal tough applications in stock preparation, paper machine and stock transfer.

Roughness Profile
Chesterton’s SSCG combines both high lubricity and maximum abrasion resistance. A homogenous matrix of graphite and sintered silicon carbide throughout has proven to be superior. High lubricity from graphite creates low seal face heat generation to prevent stock dewatering and seal hang-up. The extreme hardness of sintered silicon carbide minimizes seal face scoring from abrasive stock.
The Zero Flush uses advanced micropolishing to maximize seal face responsiveness. Maintaining seal face responsiveness is critical to long term, reliable performance in difficult to seal fluids. The dynamic seal surface contains lubricating graphite to minimize the harmful effects of frictional drag.The ZF seal remains flexible, resists hang-up and easily responds to the pump shaft vibration often found in tough paper stock applications.
