«El Caribe, las calles de Cuba, las tardes de ron, el relax y la calidez fueron la inspiración», explica Alfonso Gallego, diseñador del sillón de comedor Havana. El contraste es la clave de esta pieza fabricada con una estructura de aluminio lacado, recubierto con un trenzado en Shintotex –una fibra reciclable de alta resistencia desarrollada por POINT–. Las formas sinuosas de esta pieza están pensadas para acoger y, como en las mejores fotos, el blanco y negro toma protagonismo en el trenzado creando dibujos llenos de ritmo.

A matter of nuances

“The Caribbean, the streets of Cuba, afternoons drinking rum, relaxation and warmth were the inspiration”, explains Alfonso Gallego, the designer of the Havana dining armchair. Contrast is the key to this piece made from a lacquered aluminium structure covered with woven Shintotex, a highly resistant recyclable fibre developed by POINT. The sinuous shapes of this piece are designed to fold around us and, as in the best photos, black and white takes centre stage in the weave, creating patterns that are full of rhythm.
