LAND Research Lab® (LRL)

Park Plus is a research unit that sides the practice workflow to enhance its strategic thinking and its innovation principles. Park Plus into the decadeslong experience of our employees. Its dedicated team operates synergistically with the other design units to bring different perspectives to the firm: its role is to look for fresh opportunities, learn about impactful strategies, create a well-rounded networking system, and imagine new concepts.

The group strives to create an internal framework of knowledge that can inform the design teams and reach unexplored outcomes. The main outputs are both short and long term researches, knowhow diffusion and specific support to Park Associati’s coworkers with a parallel production that can enrich the projects.

Part of Park Plus’ time is also dedicated to building a dialogue interface with external entities such as academies, universities and fellow research groups. The unit is open to collaborating on lectures, professorships, and activities related to the main event of the architectural community agenda.

LAND Research Lab® (LRL) is the research&innovation think tank of LAND Group on emerging trends and technologies for landscape development. The Lab aims to identify collaborative procedures and data-driven methodologies to make cities and rural areas more liveable, climate-proof and resource-efficient by reconnecting people with nature.

The Lab provides consultancy on urban and territorial transformation processes applying international sustainability guidelines to local ecosystems and communities, and fostering regenerative projects and renaturation measures. Special services provided are design and assessment of nature-based solutions, green infrastructure planning, sustainability strategies, participative public space ideation and cooperation within European research networks.

LRL is partner of the Horizon-funded research projects UNaLab, T-Factor, UrbAlytics and HERITACT; moreover it joined “Italian Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency” initiative, signed Nature-Based Solutions Cooperation Manifesto, and is member of NetworkNature platform, the European Task-Force on NBS Impact and YAC teaching panel.

Transform Transport is a nonprofit research foundation based in Milan (Italy) and focused on innovation in mobility and transport planning. It provides innovative, inclusive, and sustainable mobility solutions for shaping the future of society and cities worldwide in line with the UN’s SDG 11-Sustainable cities and communities.

It grounds on 30 years of Systematica’s work and explores how disruptive technologies, increasingly and rapidly influencing urban mobility, can have a positive impact on cities, neighborhoods, and buildings, collaborating closely with municipalities and companies, and using Big Data for greater insights.

Transform Transport actively participates in lectures, talks, and hackathons in partnership with universities, mentoring and sharing methodologies with students. It also promotes and develops research studies, disseminating them through books, publications, conferences, public talks, and events.
