EDUCATION My name is Syuan-Cih Li from Taiwan. I have obtained my bachelor degree qualification for Architecture Design in my country; the focus of this degree was on learning the core skills required of an architect or architectural designer and the course greatly developed my design and communication skills. Du r i ng my u n d e r gr a d ua te stud y , I concentrated on the field of Design, achieving a top rank for Thesis Design, which is the most important presentation and outcome in the last year of a Bachelor Degree for this course. After graduation, I had attended some competitions of Thesis Design, competing against people from many countries, such as Taiwan, China, India, Japan, and Spain and won several awards. 'Architecture IS About Human Connection'-Thom Mayne, I strongly believed Architecture is the closest thing to a human being that something can be. In my view, the necessary responsibility of architect is how to connect the human mind through the space, and Reconnecting People with environment through Architecture and Design, even futher to some Intangible system and concept.

Thesis Design 1.02
Supposing that old town need to be eliminated by urban development and time consuming, the original brothels became underground and disappeared gradually because of the urban renewal and the government policy. And it is doubtful that these dilapidated spaces can be retained, metabolized or even redefined.
and chat. The erotic industry is hidden in the innermost corner.
As a Skip Garden Ground in urban texture, which release and blur the border between space and life. I try to find out a balance in this distinctive space, and also try to create a possibility of coexistence
1.05 Tourists and prostitutes - The erotic industry will not completely disappear in this site, and there are still some buried in the field. However, the texture and history here will not be forgotten after the urbanization, and the space will be reused. A museum records the stories of these people.
The site is located at the area of Wanhua Longshan temple. In this area there are four force living in here, which is tourists, residents, homeless people and prostitutes. Because of the culture and the types of space, the life style and the neighborhood are totally different from each other, also, they develop such a interesting coexistence life style.
1.04
My goal is input a new strategy, reuse the dilapidated spaces, changing the relationship of these groups, breakthrough the border, so the activities start to have a connection again. 1.01 Design Panorama - Continue the texture of the old city and create a utopia in which four groups coexist 1.02 Tourists and homelessness - A social welfare center hidden in the skip garden, homelessness shuttles in this field to clean up the environment, sell BIG ISSUE magazines and collect garbage to earn income
1.05
1.03 Tourists, residents and prostitutes - The hospitable residents open the living room, add a platform, and connect the neighbors. The tourists inadvertently walk into or touch the residents’ small tea
1.04 Tourists, residents and homelessness - In the skip garden, each group has a variety of activities, and each other interacts with each other through activities and spaces, breaking the barriers of class and creating a coexisting place.
1.06 Current site with group analysis - Approache and observed throguh my own perspective to analyze the space, interaction and texture of the four groups.

1.07 Related case studies - Study three similar fields: Hong Kong Kowloon Walled City, Shanghai longtang and the Amsterdam Red Light District, analyzing spatial composition and elements, making collage in my own view. 1.08 Spatial model research - found the spatial elements of the three cases, synthesize and design the exclusive space belonging to the coexistence of groups 1.09 Base possibility - Apply the space model to the base to find the design pattern suitable for the base texture

1.14 Render view - The relationship between the frame and the unified space is then allocated and linked, and conforms to the urban texture of the old city.
1.16 Skip garden vision model - In the complex old area, creating a new system that boldly challenges the current conservative society, there will be many different criticisms and opportunities, but it also means that people’s discrimination against diversity groups will gradually disappear in the future. I hope to change this by architectural design futher to create ane extend the new system in society. 1.17 Skip garden lifestyle section Through the section vision map, we can see that the living system in the future garden is full of connections. Compared with those formal and cold buildings, I prefer the connection between people in space, so it makes space lively and genuine.
1.15 Render View - The disappearance of old buildings has created new entrances, breaking closed walls

In the over-developed busy city, we find the only breathing space, and local residents and citizens need a community-connected place. 3.03 ATTRACTIVE STREET FRONTAGES
The good facades.Attractive street frontages create a friendly streetscape with many entrances and transparent facades which provide a good contact between indoors and outdoors. In these precincts there is generally a good mix of different units / shops, not too large units etc. When the streetscape is perceived as an inviting and friendly place one or two bad units cannot distort this experience.

Work in Australia I came to Australia in October 2016 on a working holiday visa. I initially lived in the Melbourne CBD and worked as a freelancer on a small number of graphic design projects, before moving to regional Victoria, where I worked in a packing position in meat factory for three months. In May 2017, I returned to Melbourne to continue graphic design work. I take great pride in having a strong work ethic, an eye for detail and a respect for efficiency- but I also value innovative thinking and creative solutions. I thoroughly enjoy working with people, and in an environment that is conducive to innovative work, creative ideas and productive relationships. Start My Design Career Working as freelance graphic designer in a property development company, I completed projects for real estate brochures in Kew, Hughesdale, Camberwell and number of other suburbs in southeast Melbourne. These were the first projects I designed in Australia. From this work I have gained a

better understanding of the lifestyle and attitudes of Australians and an appreciation of marketing strategies for real estate promotion from a graphical design perspective. Meat Factory Life To meet the conditions of an Australian working holiday visa, if the applicant wants to apply for the second year of extension, they are required to go to a regional area such as a farm or a meat factory for three months. As such, I worked in a meat factory in Warrnambool for three months, doing packaging work every day. I found the country lifestyle was more relaxed and laid back and although I was busy working, down time was often spent on more simple pursuits such as having a barbeque. I enjoy this kind of coziness in a country lifestyle and I gained an increased knowledge and understanding of the food industry system. Back to City After I ended my three-month rural life,
After I ended my three-month rural life, I returned to Taiwan for two months and then returned to Melbourne. Since then I have had further design work experience, largely producing real estate property brochures. I was also able to find some freelance jobs which has seen me produce graphic artworks, and perform work in photoshop and render in processing Work in Signage Company I commenced my career in an advertising signage company. Our clients include various businesses such as Moreland City Council, Sushi hub, Sandwich chef, Tattslotto and many other businesses. I have three main responsibilities - Design artwork from customer’s requirements, confirm the size and details before production, and operate the printer and CNC etc. - Design artwork from client’s requirements Clients are categorised into large, medium and small businesses. Large business projects, which are generally managed by the
project manager, as part of the process, we will receive drawings from the architects, and I perform duties drafting the details of the sign, and finally send it to the project manager for final approval. For medium and small businesses, it’s common to design artwork, such as restaurant menus, club banners, company logos and corporate branding. - Confirm size and detail before production This is the most important procedure and its vital to ensure that all aspects of the design meet the requirements of the customer. - Operation of production machine Large-scale projects are produced overseas. We produce our own products for medium to small projects. In the process of production, we use printers, lasers, carpentry, vinyl cutting or CNC.
