Welcome to the 2023 Glasman family bull sale. We are grateful to again be consigning alongside my family and the M&J offering. This business is really a lot to do with the people so we’d like to start by saying thank you to our customers, friends and family for supporting our program. Whether you like or share a social media post, are a bidder or buyer, an extra body or babysitter when needed, etc. we couldn’t do any of this without you! I believe the cattle cycle isn’t broken and we are headed in to good times. With inputs and expenses higher than ever it is even more important to invest in trouble free, efficient growth cattle to make this lifestyle more profitable and fun.

The bulls came home from pasture late December and were still transitioning onto new feed around picture time. Between then and now even they have continued to change and excel. Please accept this as your invitation to stop by the farm to view the bulls for yourself and let them do the talking. Videos of each lot will be available on our webpage and through DLMS as well as internet bidding on sale day.

We all want trouble free cattle. We definitely have to have them here as I am 3000 feet underground half my life and do most farm projects as a family with three kids in tow. Our cattle need to be low input and efficient but high output; continuously improving and progressing our herd and moving the breed forward.

We are very excited to bring you our new sire group by Lancaster. They are a must see! Their half sisters are even super impressive and absolute standouts. The Earnhardt sire group is as strong as ever. Followed up by excellent Bond, Black Gold and Alacatraz sire groups as well as Simmentals sired by RF Merchant. The stoutest Angus bull in the pen. This fella is big scrotalled, muscular, deep bodied and has the true character of a herd bull. As a calf he was definitely the most muscular and early maturing and looked like a herd bull early on. His moderate, super fronted, great uddered dam by Bond has a super production record on her first three calves. Her first daughter by Alcatraz has one of the stoutest bulls in the pen for next year’s sale. The Density grand dam to this bull may be one of the most powerful, biggest volume Density daughters I have ever seen. Lot

This bull may be the widest topped bull in our offering with a big scrotal and great temperament. He stems back to one of the greatest cows in the Angus business, Crescent Creek Rosebud 115F. Lancaster 1021 is sure to sire calves with extra base width and depth. His females will be easy keeping with excellent maternal traits.

This outstanding bull is a crowd favorite and he and his dam made me want to hit the show road every time I saw them as a pair out on grass as I knew they would have been quite competitive in the show ring. Lancaster 1037 shows extra length of spine and herd bull character with excellent structure. This bull was super hairy as a calf and will add that hair to his calf crop. His phenomenal dam by Density has massive volume with big sweeping rib shape and is always a favorite to visitors.

MLG Earnhardt 1022 is one of the most attractive and complete bulls in the offering. Deep, stout, and hairy with smooth shoulders that lead into a proud herd bull skull. He is backed by the Blackbird cow family that always has a large percentage of bulls in our offering and is maybe the most popular and proven cow family in our herd thus far. His dam is a favorite perfect uddered Authority daughter who is a full sib to a past high selling bull to Felton Angus Ranch in Montana. His full sib was a feature in last year’s sale. No research to do here: consistency is bred in!

Earnhardt

This bull’s depth in pedigree is unrivaled. On his dam’s side alone is such greats as Final Answer, Coleman Donna, Pioneer, Prestige, Leachman Right Time, and New Trend. His dam may be our most moderate cow in size but consistently weans the highest percent of body weight year after year.

These Earnhardt bulls are like peas in a pod, consistent right from birth. They all have extra base width, bone, hair and character. 1048’s dam is brood cow power at its finest. Her son last year was our feature Bond son and she has a top PM Natural Law son for next year’s sale.

Phenotypic standout here! This moderate Earnhardt son is so structurally correct and has that undeniable herd bull character Earnhardt stamps his sons with. His dam is one of our most eye appealing Pioneer daughters. She is full sister to MLG Tibbie 5033, the dam of Authoritive and Lot 41 MLG Brosnan 1099.
