In our search for some outcross genetics, we decided to flush Lady Trooper to Payload. We had seen this bull at Bow Valley Genetics and thought he had a lot to offer. Excellent profile, feet and legs and performance. Here is two full brothers that can add length and performance.

We understand they are cattle producers but also understand they are grain producers as well. We encourage producers to grow as many on farm ingredients as they can and we will help fill the nutritional gaps that the forages and grains leave. McRae’s do an outstanding job growing quality silages, hay, greenfeeds and grains that help provide protein, energy and some minerals and with their Custom Bull Developer Supplement I provide the nutritional shortages to balance their programs requirements. Over the past number of years we have been able to lower the energy requirement of the diets and increase the forage percentages because of the way the bulls are converting. Conversion is the most economical trait we have and The genetics in the Mar Mac bull program is showing us this. Our goal is to raise well grown out bulls that will go out and cover females without breaking down and melting away. We want the bulls to mature and grow in a sound development program and we are very conscious about not getting them over conditioned and to cool down the bulls post sale to get them used to their new surroundings and environment.

The sound nutrition I design will help enhance growth, conversion, and overall performance. Strong emphasis is on structure soundness, feet and legs, hair and reproductive development with increased scrotal development and semen quality. A sound nutritional program keeps all of this in mind.

I balance Mar Mac’s feeding programs with Cargill’s BEEF MAX Ration Balancing Program. This program balances to different types of proteins, amino acids, fibers, chelated minerals and selenium, vitamins and the natural Diamond V-NaturSafe product to enhance stronger immunity and absorption of nutrients.

Once again the key to a successful relationship is communication. This communication with Mar Mac Farms helps with a part of the success of their Bull Development Program for their customers.

This is an old pedigree with Ruby 10T Cow Family. She had a number of sons and daughters that had worked well and we were hoping to get some more daughters to continue her legacy but ended up with these 2 sons. Ribeye was a powerful individual who left some stout beefy bulls that went out and worked in the purebred and commercial industry and his females were power cows with excellent feet and udders. This bulls dam is the daughter of our High Selling Bull in our 2019 Bull Sale to Gordon Resources, South Dakota We used some in herd use semen to produce some moderate framed, easy keeping daughters. This two year old Frado Cow Family female weaned off a 765 lb bull calf so they work. Some strong maternal genetics here.

We purchased a Navigator son, Leader 93H from Blair and Lois at their 2021 Bull sale. The first thing that caught my eye when looking at him was his length and depth of body with a lot of rear end to go around. He had a hell of a coat of dark red hair, a small head, smooth shoulders and a calm demeanor. We were wanting a red bull to go with a group of mature cows. He had a little bigger BW but that didn't detour us because of his length of body. He went to work on July 1 of 2021 with 25 mature cows. He must have caught them all within the 1st and 2nd cycle as he had the most calves on the ground out of all our other bulls by mid April. The calves hit the ground growing with no calving trouble whatsoever. We are very happy with his calves; he produces the beefy calves that we were wanting to send to town in the fall. We kept the majority of the heifer calves he gave us, and they will become cows in our program
