Welcome to our 12th Annual Bull Sale! It seem’s like just yesterday that we pulled out a map, plotted out Kisbey Saskatchewan, moved, and started Right Cross Ranch! We’ve continuously had the support of our family, neighbors, friends, customers, and this great community. We’d like to start by saying THANK YOU for “hanging in there” with us! There are times this trek isn’t easy, but it’s the support from the people in our circle who “cheer us on” that keeps us moving forward year after year. We appreciate you!
If your ranch is anything like ours, you have hundreds of bull sale catalogs on your nightstand or in the bathroom. Every operation has their “story” as to what sets them apart from the next place; that’s one of the greatest things about the cattle industry! Two words that we feel sum up our “story,” are longevity and practicality. With rising costs, interest rates, and inflation, every dollar counts now more than ever! We understand and relate to the expense of buying a new herd sire. Once that money is invested, it sure would be nice to get many years use out of that bull! We raise our cattle and bulls with their futures in mind. Our bulls are fed a TMR that is high in protein, minerals, and forages and includes brown oats, no barley! We’ve fed the bulls to be ready to head to their new homes, be physically fit, and get to work breeding cows! We’d like everything around the ranch to be in shape to work, our stock dogs, ranch horses, heck even our own bodies. Why would the bulls not fall in the same category? With limited experienced labor around, our cattle must work for us! We do not have the time or the help to deal with poor udder, feet, or attitude problems! We expect our herd to be practical; if you cost us extra time, your number will be wrote down and you’ll be sent to the “train station”!
This year, we are excited to offer you bulls with fresh new genetics! We made a huge leap and purchased five new bulls in one year! They’ve taken our program to new heights! It’s not very often that we are over the moon about every bull purchased in one year, but we sure were! We should have bought a lottery ticket! Unfortunately, our luck ended, and we lost Thunder during his first winter. Don’t miss your only chance to snag some of his genetics from this sale.
Customer service is one of our main priorities! We will, once again, be offering our bull warranty program to ensure our customers get their cattle bred in a timely fashion. RIGHT CROSS RANCH NUTRITION
Right Cross Ranch has a strong focus on nutrition and management for their growing bulls and entire cow herd. Each ration is balanced based on feed analysis and goals for each set of cattle. The bull rations are formulated with 20% coarse chopped hay to encourage cud chewing, a healthy rumen and longevity. Whole oats provides energy to optimize growth. Silage and a custom formulated bull supplement rounds out the bull rations. Slow and steady growth is the goal for Right Cross bulls. It would be great if you have the opportunity to stop by the ranch to check out the bulls and the growing rations prior to the sale.

Welcome to the 12th Annual Right Cross Ranch Red and Black Bull sale on April 7, 2023 at the ranch, Kisbey, Saskatchewan. This annual event offers the top cut of yearlings along with a great group of age-advantaged two-yearolds. These two-year-olds are later born and saved for this event. Rugged and sound, they will cover more ground, all types of terrain and ideal for bigger cows. The yearlings are stout and muscled with plenty of hair, testicles, and optimal birth weights. The selection is genetically diverse yet uniform in size and structure… exciting opportunities of value-added selection.
