General Description
The T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1 is a hydrostatic release unit, designed to operate in all conditions, from extreme heat to the polar environment. In the exceptional situation your vessel sinks, the T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1 will automatically release your life rafts and EPIRB's. Our innovative design increased the reliability, that's why the T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1 has an expiry life of 3 years. This means you only replace the HRU every 3 years, instead of 2 years which is common. Besides the cost saving, this also reduces the environmental footprint. The T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1 hydrostatic release also fits on remote release systems, this enables you to release life rafts remotely. An EPIRB model is also available, delivered with the bolt and nut to connect the EPIRB to your vessel. Benets

General Description
The T-ISS Life Raft / Rescue Boat Hook is a combined automatic release hook which can handle rescueboats and life rafts up to a safe working load of 35 kN. The advantage of using the T-ISS Px01: • It will increase safety, as the crew only need to familiarize themselves with one hook, instead of two, there is no second hook, dangerously swinging around when lowering. • In distress situations the crew will instantly know which hook to use, as there is only one hook. • The most economical solution, why buy two hooks if one is sufficient? This hook can be used for rescue boats with a davit load less then 3500 kg and/or a davit launched liferaft up to 40 pax. The hook can be operated as an automatic release hook, releasing when the craft enters the water, or as a manual release hook, whereby the load needs to be off the hook before releasing.

Introduction
Photo luminescent The photo luminescent material used on SafeSign signs, stores the energy from light sources and releases the light energy in darkness. SafeSign only uses 100% environmental friendly material, free from any toxics or radioactive additives. The photo luminescent material needs enough light to be activated while the brightness and period of glow depends on the grade and thickness of pigment used. SafeSigns only uses photo luminescent material that exceeds the glow properties required. All photo luminescent signs and Low Location Light systems use the same, DNV certified, material. Safe Sign innovated the sign industry by replacing the commonly used PVC with a modified PET. The benefit of this modified PET is that the product is completely recyclable, reducing the environmental footprint. PVC contains halogens, which can produce highly toxic fumes, and therefore the use of PVC is more and more prohibited. Another benefit of the modified PET used, is the resistance against UV. Where PVC will discolor, and becomes yellowish, Safe Sign modified PET comes with a 10 year warrantee, even when used outdoor. SafeSign signs will not discolor. Back-printing SafeSign innovates by introducing a new way of sign printing. Instead of printing the photo luminescent layer and color print from the front, we developed a procedure whereby the colors are printed from the backside and then the photo luminescent layer is printed. This way, the printing is protected from environmental influences, from the back side it is sealed with a PE closed-cell foam tape which has a self-adhesive backing. The result is a sign with a shiny finish on the front, which is mounted easily with the selfadhesive backside and can be cleaned easily. All signs are delivered with a protective front film, which must be removed after mounting.

The most economical signs! The cost of signs is merely a small part of your total cost of signage. Identicications, ordering, transport, installation and invoicing are usually more than 90% of the cost. You can reduce this substantially by using SafeSign signs. Safe Sign signs are guaranteed good, for 10 years and easy-to-fix thanks to the selfadhesive backing. Save serious money on all these replacement cost while applying an evironmental friendly purchasing policy. Sustainability through innovation!

Rules and Regulations - Solas / New ISO standards
Why should PVC not be used for signage? Solas Chapter 11-2 Reg 6 Part B 6.2 Part B - Prevention of Fire and Explosion Regulation 6 - Smoke Generation Potential and Toxicity 1. Purpose The purpose of this regulation is to reduce the hazard to life from smoke and toxic products generated during a fire in spaces where persons normally work or live. For this purpose, the quantity of smoke and toxic products released from combustible materials, including surface finishes, during fire shall be limited. 2. Paints, varnishes and other finishes Paints, varnishes and other finishes used on exposed interior surfaces shall not be capable of producing excessive quantities of smoke and toxic products, this being determined in accordance with the Fire Test Procedures Code. What else to consider? Flame-spread characteristics. Solas Chapter 11-2 Reg 5 Part B 3.2.4.1 The following surfaces shall have low flame-spread characteristics in accordance with the Fire Test Procedures Code: 3.2.4.1 In passenger ships: 3.2.4.1.1 exposed surfaces in corridors and stairway enclosures and of bulkhead and ceiling linings in accommodation and service spaces (except saunas) and control stations, etc. Bulkhead plate 1

All photo luminescent signage needs to meet the requirements stated in IMO resolution 752(18). This means that these signs need to provide, as a minimum, 15 mcd/m2 after 10 minutes and 2 mcd/m2 after 60 minutes when no longer exposed to an illuminating source. Signs, as low location light systems, need their luminance to be tested at least once every 5 years. Therefore it’s key to use quality signs which provides these values, and not only in the first months. Especially signs used outside need to be of such a quality, that the exposure to UV, does not discolour the plastic, if so the requirements will not be met. T-ISS signs are made out of a modified polymer plastic which doesn’t discolour when exposed to UV light. The photo luminescent layer is protected as T-ISS prints the signs from the backside. You can rest assure, when using our signs, that you’ll be safe for at least 10 years.

General Description - Low Location Light
In 2009 T-ISS started an innovation project with the objective to improve the quality and environmental footprint of photo luminescent signs and low location light strips. Today most sign makers use PVC, despite the fact that PVC is the single most environmentally damaging of all plastics. PVC contains halogens and their toxicity of smoke is of highest concern within enclosed spaces, which you will find on-board any ship or platform. During our innovation project we managed to replace PVC with a safe material, a modified recyclable polymer, which is free of halogens. Besides this new material the innovation went on, and we managed to innovate our printing process in such a way that the expected life of SafeSign signs is up to 5 times longer than the average. The last upside is the visual appearance, SafeSign signs and low location light strips have a high quality glossy finish, which is easy to clean. The use of these new materials and techniques helped us to achieve innovative product which is also more economical and looks better.
Light Line Systems
Alternatively to the commonly used profile/insert low location light strips, SafeSign has developed Light Line strips. These Wheelmark approved, self-adhesive strips are an excellent alternative to the profile systems. Light Line strips are manufactured according to the same high standard as Safe Sign signs; back printed on a modified polymer plastic which gives a glossy, easy to wipe clean, finish. No PVC, no halogens and 10 years warrantee against discoloration and on the photo luminescent properties. This is the solution to refurbish existing systems which do not meet the requirements. The Light Line strips can easily be fixed on top of the existing system by your crew or yard, due to its self-adhesive backing. Upon request we can also manufacture Light Line strips to your requirements, like non-standard colours, sizes and/or afterglow properties, always in compliance and always in the same high, environmentally friendly quality.

T-ISS is a specialist for LLL Systems on Cruise liners & Ferries. IMO & Solas regulations require that ships carrying more than 36 passengers shall be fitted with Low Location Lighting. Resolution A.752(18) & IS015370 details system requirements and testing procedures: ● ● ● ● ● ●
The installed material must be Wheelmark approved. All escape routes, including stairs, must be marked by LLL. Where stairs or corridors are more than 2m wide, LLL ships should be provided on both sides. 'Exit' signs should be provided at each exit, located on the same side as the door handle. Fire and watertight doors should be marked to show how the door opens. Systems must have their luminescence tested at least once every 5 years.
The LightLine LLL System is the easiest & most cost eective system to install, requiring only the application of the tape to the bulkhead and the positioning of LLL signs at the appropriate places. Our LightLine Strips have a green lining at top and bottom of the strip which gives it a high class appearance. All LightLine strips are DNVGL certified. LightLine LLL Profile System: is a system which comprises of an extruded aluminium carrier and rigid photo luminescent strips. Our standard is an angle profile with a 50mm wide visible strip. The performance of the rigid panels is certified by DNVGL and easy to install. We can also create other shaped LLL systems according to the demands of ship-owners, yards and architects. Standard LightLine strips are reversed printed in order to prevent damages to the photo luminescent layer, these are easy to clean and have a high quality appearance. We participate with many shipowners, yards and architects to find the optimal solution in design and quality of the Low Location Light system for their new-builds and refurbishments. For all your enquiries regarding Low Location Light systems, please contact us.

General Description
Marking pipes on ships and offshore sites is of the utmost importance to ensure safety at all times. Accidents, injuries and damage to machines and equipment can be caused by the fact your crew, is unaware of the substances that flow through pipes. The ISO 14726 standard (International Standard Organization), specifies the principle colours for the identification of substances in pipes. ISO 14726 specifies also additional colour codes that allow a more detailed identification of the substance.
Base Colors
Installation
Pipes must be marked in the following manner: ● ● ● ●
At least one in every room for every pipe and every substance At each point where the pipes pass through a wall, a ceiling or floor In the proximity of each valve and pump Within a distance of 3 to 5 meters. Depending on the length of the pipe (local authorities can demand additional markers.) Arrows to indicate the directional flow are advisable. Additional Identification by usage of text will avoid any confusion regarding the substance transported through the piping.
Pipe Marking T ape T ypes
Type 1 Pipe marking tape is a single colour tape which needs to be combined to the correct colour coding. Additional, a flow direction tape can be added to the combination to enhance identification.
86
Type 2 Pipe marking tape is a multi colour tape which can be supplied with or without flow direction and medium.
Type 3 Pipe marking tape is a multi colour tape which can be supplied with or without flow directions and medium. It comes with a high gloss, laminated finish.

Pipe Marking Specials
We supply various types of special pipe markers who can fullfill all customer demands on FPSO, Ferries, Cruiseliners, Tankers and other types of ships. All markers will be made using the colours according to the ISO 14726 regulation or the customer’s demands. Non-standard pipe markers can be delivered with an Self-Adhesive layer, or Non-Adhesive. The non-adhesive pipe markers are called SnapOn Pipe Markers. The SnapOn Pipe Markers have the advantage that they are very quick to install, an can be removed and refitted on a dierentpipe. Also, they are ideal to fit oily or dirty pipes, since their snap-on feature doesn’t require them to stick to the pipe.
