Meet the
DISTRICT GOVERNOR
JonathanPerez HELLO TEXAS-OKLAHOMA!
My name is Jonathan Perez, and I am honored to be serving as your 20222023 District Governor. A little bit about me is that I am currently a rising senior at Cleburne High School, and I have been in the K-Family for 7 years!! I enjoy listening to all types of music but especially some indie pop! Some of my favorite things to do are travel to new places, hang out with friends, and read a good book. Prior to being elected Governor, I served as the Division One Lt. Governor, Contest and Awards Committee Chair, and International Member Representative. It's hard to believe that I am starting my final year in Key Club, but nonetheless, I am super stoked to see all the amazing things T-O accomplishes this year!
As District Governor, I am responsible for leading the mighty T-O District, promoting our K-Family and International relations, increasing membership, and
so
much
more.
This
year
my
main
goals
include:
Increasing
membership/participation, Enhancing our resources, and providing support to everyone in our amazing district. Throughout my term, I plan to host board bondings, office hours, and provide new projects. Additionally, I will introduce
member
representatives
on
T-O
committees,
distribute
new
officer resources, and host a district-wide officer training. Finally, I will uplift others through my Governor's project "Empowering the People" and incentivize top LTGs and Clubs. I know that with persistence along with the phenomenal individuals I will work with I will be able to reach my goals and help the T-O district reach great heights.
I look forward to serving with you all, and If you ever need someone to talk to (Key Club related or not) feel free to reach out to me! I am sure that the Might T-O District will accomplish some great things this year and I couldn't be more happy to be part of it all!
Yours in Friendship and Service,
Jonathan Perez
SECRETARY | MEET THE STAFF | 05
H I
G U Y S !
My name is Dylan Dam, and I’m your District Secretary for the 2022-2023 school year! Some of my hobbies are playing tennis, piano, and video games.
As
DSEC,
I’ll
be
mainly
taking
minutes
at
all
board
meetings and sending them to international and grading monthly
reports,
and
providing
feedback.
One
of
my
goals listed when I was running was to double monthly reporting rates. Although it is unrealistic, it is possible if I send out reminders to everyone and help guide them through the reporting process. Another goal I have is to perform my task to the utmost perfection so that I can apply for the Outstanding District Secretary award from international!
Honestly, what I’m looking forward to the most in this upcoming year is LEDCON! I’m so excited to see what the theme will be and to meet all of the awesome key clubbers in all of Texas and Oklahoma. I’m excited to meet new staff and to see who will be my successor.
Yours in Friendship and Service,
Dylan Dam

06 | MEET THE STAFF | TREASURER
Meet the
DISTRICT TREASURER
Emily Zhang
HELLO T-O KEY CLUBBERS! I am so excited to work with you all as the T-O Key Club Treasurer for the 2022-2023 year. My name is Emily Zhang and I love exploring different activities. Some of my hobbies include the following: watching movies, k-dramas, TV series, reading, traveling, and going out to get Boba.
I can't wait to work with the Club Treasurers and meet each and everyone one of you. I will be there every step of the way to guide Club Treasurers and advise them on different goals. I will make sure to send out reminders about the deadlines for Early Bird, Regular Dues, and the YOF grant. I am thrilled to talk
about
the
YOF
grant
and
increasing
the
amount
of
recipients and overall schools applying for the grant.
I will be available anytime for questions about Treasurer duties and fundraising tips. I will have monthly calls and create in addition
to
updating
the
fundraising
booklet
that
I
am
currently working on. I wish to increase the overall membership of T-O and increase the amount of Key Clubs that turn in their dues on time. I look forward to seeing you all at the next LEDCON and enjoying my experience by talking to everyone.
Yours in Friendship and Service,
Emily Zhang
CONVENTION LIAISON | MEET THE STAFF | 07
Y Y’ALL!! D W O E M My name is Lendell Andal and I am incredibly proud to serve the TexasOklahoma District as your 2022-2023 Convention Liaison! I’m an incoming senior, cats are literally my favorite thing ever, I play the cello, I’m a student athletic trainer, and I love Key Club! For those of you who don’t know, as Convention
Liaison,
my
position
mainly
consists
of
the
planning
and
organizing of next year’s LEDCON. I’ll be there to help facilitate the ideas of
the
District
Board
for
LEDCON
in
the
most
efficient
and
best
way
possible while also making sure that LEDCON is thoroughly planned and accounted for! I hope to have 1,000+ attendees at next year’s LEDCON with amazing opportunities for you guys––the members!––to learn, grow, and have fun!
Apart from that, service and Key Club have been a huge part of my high school life, and it has shaped me into the person I am today. In my past positions
as
project
coordinator
of
the
Cypress
Ridge
Key
Club
and
Lieutenant Governor of the mighty division of 3N, I have come to learn and understand the positive impact one person can have on their home, school, and community. And, ever since, I have made it my goal to allow others to serve and volunteer to the absolute max and best of their ability!
By the end of the year, I hope I make each and every one of you proud by making
LEDCON
the
most
fun-filled,
service-centered,
and
character-
growing experience it is meant to be! If any of you have any questions about LEDCON, problems, or just want to talk, please don’t be afraid to reach out! Yours in Friendship and Service,
Lendell Andal

08 | MEET THE STAFF | TECH PRODUCER
Meet the
TECH PRODUCER
Minori Kikuchi HI EVERYONE!
My name is Minori Kikuchi and I’ll be your Tech Producer for 2022-2023! As an upcoming junior at Garland High School, I’m so excited to serve our mighty T-O district. During my free time, you’ll probably see me thrifting, browsing
sewing
commentary
patterns
youtube
that
videos,
and
I’ll
never
editing
my
actually current
start, vlog
binging
(my
latest
obsession)! I used to brag about my word hunt game pigeon abilities, but my skills have fallen off as of late… still, reach out if you want a word hunt buddy!
As Tech Producer, my job is to help webmasters, manage the Instagram (@tokeyclub), and create videos for our district. My goals this year are to create
accessible
resource
videos
for
officers
and
to
centralize
our
information on the T-O website and Instagram to increase accessibility! Currently,
on
Texas-Oklahoma
District
Key
Club
at
YouTube.com
(shameless plug), there are some training videos that anybody can watch. However, since they are from two years ago and sourced from a zoom call, I would like to update them to have more up-to-date information with clearer quality. By doing so, I hope to make it easier for all officers to manage their position and reap the rewards that they deserve (especially for my dear webmasters)! Throughout the year, I will be working with our Editor, Bethany Tran, the Event Public Relations (EPR) Committee, and the General Public Relations (GPR) Committees to make this happen.
I’m really looking forward to all the great things that our district is going to do this year! Please let me know if you have any questions, and I’ll hopefully see you again soon.
Yours in Friendship and Service,
MinoriKikuchi
