Rita Tabago found her passion
for the performing arts at a very young age. She began singing publicly at community events and competitions, such as, Carassauga and the FCT Singing Idol. When she was 11, she started performing in community theatre shows like, Peter Pan and Anne of Green Gables at the Meadowvale Theatre. She is currently a Grade 11 student at Philip Pocock, where she takes part in the Extended French program and the Arts and Culture SHSM as a Vocals Major. Rita would like to thank everyone that has made this concert possible.
Beatrice Cerbas discovered
her interest in singing at the age of 9. As a young girl, she had shown great enthusiasm in joining a Children’s Choir and a Musical Theatre program at the Living Arts Centre. Later, she took on her singing to the next level through performing in various community events and competitions such as FCT Singing Idol and CNE Rising Star. She is currently in Gr. 11 and is enrolled in the SHSM program as a Health and Wellness major. Beatrice extends her deepest gratitude to family and friends for always believing and supporting her in this endeavour.
Myka Escano is a passion-
ate 16 year old teenager who holds adoration for the arts. She is currently part of the Regional Arts Program at Iona Catholic Secondary School as a Vocals Major. Myka first started off at Living Arts in 2009 where she performed in shows such as Seussical the Musical and Marry Poppins. She would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came here tonight. Myka is truly blessed for all the continuous love and support.

an enormous passion for music. He was a grand finalist at this year’s Filipino Singing Contest and he was the grand winner of Sir Sandford Fleming Academy’s “Fleming Idol” in 2010. With his deep rock star voice, he came to represent his alma mater in 2011’s “TDSB Idol” and was one of the grand finalists in the prestigious singing contest which brought together all of Toronto District School Board’s top amazing singers.

RiZe is 3 member boy band consisting of Glenn
Montera (20), Francis De Las Alas (18), and Aaron Hernandez (16). With education from Cardinal Carter Academy of the Arts and St. Michael’s Choir School, the members have been musical trained in both classical and more modern styles of music. With performing experience gained from the Taste of Broadway shows, the RiZe has been improving with each performance that they do. The group has been performing around the GTA at many different events, including the Rise Again fundraising concert for the Philippines, Filipino Independence Day in multiple locations, Alex Chiu Golf Tournament, and the CHIN picnic starring Pilita Corales.

hen I first met these 3 young ladies in our local organization in Markham, they were such a shy bunch and looked so out of place in a rambunctious crowd. I was so pleased when they began singing because you can see the talent oozing out of them. What they needed was a gentle push in the right direction to get them going. These ladies blossomed and so did their talent. As I worked with them in the last few weeks before this concert, I had a glimpse of what these young ladies are capable of doing. Bea, you move and act like a professional artist. There is nothing you cannot do when you put your mind to it. Put your shy persona on the shelf and be what you want to be on stage. You engage a crowd when you sing and I love watching you performing for your audience. Rita, you are a force to be reckoned with if you put your mind to it. You’ve become the spokesperson for your trio and I am astounded that you’re still holding back on what you can achieve with that voice of yours! Sing loud and proud! And always remember to SMILE! Myka, you may not know this but with your alto blending, you are the foundation that holds the harmonies together. You’ve come so far in your “training” and got your groove goin’! I see the hard work you put in and I am sometimes envious of your energy and focus. Keep smiling and keep up that great attitude! Trinity, you shine the most when you sing together. Your friendship, support of each other and love for one another comes through on and off stage. Always have happiness in your heart, love of music and keep each other close to lean on. Together, you will make magic! This is your moment to shine!!! To the parents, your love and support of your children show what you would give up for them. There is nothing in this world more beautiful that showing your children how much they mean to you. Rita, Bea and Myka are so lucky to have you all as their parents. I know that they feel the same way. Finally, please know that I will always be there for all of you and will be the proudest when you step out on stage, from today until forever.
