This is a work which dates to the early 15th century, possibly from northern Italy. It is named after the book dealer who purchased it in 1912. Much of the work resembles herbal documents of the time period, seeming to present illustrations and information about plants and their possible uses for medical purposes. Possibly some form of encrypted ciphertext, it has been studied by many professional and amateur cryptographers. What is it?

This Italian dessert is made by simmering together cream, milk and sugar, mixing this with gelatin, and letting it cool until set. It is generally from the Northern Italian region of Piedmont, although it is eaten all over Italy, where it is served with wild berries, caramel, chocolate sauce or fruit coulis. It is not known exactly how or when this dessert came to be, but some theories suggest that cream, for which mountainous Northern Italy is famous, was historically eaten plain or sweetened with fruit or hazelnuts. Name this dessert.

The legend associated with X is that a beautiful princess lived in the forest (near present day X) in a palace. She loved and enjoyed bathing in a lake nearby and used to drink “sweetened milk” from her “golden jug” after finishing with her bath. One day while enjoying her jug of milk she found herself being watched by a prince, who was standing amongst the trees. Red with embarrassment at her inadequate bathing attire, she poured the jug of milk in front of him to form an improvised curtain to hide her body while the maids rushed to cover her with her dress. It is said that it is that sweetened milk that cascades down the mountain slope as X to this day as a tribute to the virtue and modesty of the princess. Identify X.
