Should we have made it leaning, like the Tower of Pisa? Perhaps. But we believe to be in harmony with the landscape all that is needed is quality, elegance, choice of materials and design. We at TLF took this belief as our starting point in the creation of our designs, which are the results of thorough research and long experience in working with wood. Many cities have already opted for our quality. But there are still many places we can improve by working together. Our job is to add natural elements to urban spaces, giving them warmth, elegance and a touch of fantasy. TLF production can respond to any design need with a vast range of flexible solutions which blend into any concept of the city, respecting the roots of ancient history as well as responding to urban atmospheres which are more modern and up-to-date. We consider the image without neglecting the substance. We guarantee reliability, convenience and safety as well as variety and comprehensiveness in every urban design programme. Materials and finishes
Look closely at our products. We pay so much attention to finishing and details that we do not fear scrutiny and we know that our products are not afraid of time. Their durability is guaranteed by a careful choice of materials. To the solidity of northern pine we add modern and tested techniques which increase the resistance to mould and insects. The treatment with pressure-applied copper salts and special acrylic varnish protects the wood from weathering and from the effects of the sun. Therefore we want you to get to know our working methods. They have been developed through long experience and they are constantly reviewed in the light of current research, taking into account the findings of well documented studies and design processes. We work with wood with a passion and a skill which has matured over many years of activity in TLF. All TLF timber comes from forests with certification for their good practice management system (FSC and PEFC). FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) are two independent bodies working all over the world and offering a voluntary guarantee tool to those owners willing to manage their forests in a sustainable way from an environmental, social and economic point of view.
