What is VETiS?

Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) is a program that enables students to gain nationally recognised qualifications while at school. VETiS can be undertaken in years 10, 11 and 12, and can count towards the Queensland Certificate of Education. Students undertaking VETiS, which is funded by the Department of Employment Small Business and Training under the VET Investment budget, can complete one employment stream qualification at the certificate I or II level. TAFE at School

High school students have access to Trade and Skill Taster programs that are funded by the Queensland Government. This is unique to TAFE Queensland and offered at no cost. These programs allow students to explore different industries and areas of study by studying units of competency for various qualifications.
