Tagay Zine

"Tagay" is a Pinoy term which means "to have a shot", the term is used usually in drinking sessions where a glass of beer or any liquor is passed from one person to another. Inspired by the good gesture of Tagay, Arvin "Alien" Javier use the term "Tagay" to name his zine project. Joined by buddies Dexter Fernandez and Rick Hernandez, Tagay is born in May 2009. "Tagay" is now a known Pinoy ArtZine that focus on local artists from the Philippines and other Pinoy artist from around the globe. Tagay is made up of solicited works from different artists which features artworks that varies from drawings, collages, paintings, digital art etc. to poetry, short essays and other literary works. Tagay aims to promote Filipino art to the world and bring camaraderie among Pinoy artists.
