001 L+B DESIGN GROUP
2013 Venu Hotel is a luxery five star hotel development located in Jumierah Beach Residents in Dubai. On the demand of the client for an “Iconic Design, we developed a concept based on massing blocks for various functions. These blocks are arranged on the site based on different criteria for accessability and climate studies. The project is currently undergoing design stage and is scheduled to be built by 2015. As part of the team I was involved in Revit model development for this project. I was also in charge of revit modeling managment and coordination with other deciplines. A: Revit 3d Views

Pearl Jumeira Villas
002 L+B DESIGN GROUP
2013 This project consisted of 18 luxury villas on Pearl Jumeirah Island in Dubai. Prior to design, an FAR optimization was performed to optimize the design based on each plot area and FAR while considering unifying the design into different types. In the end, 5 types were developed for the 18 plots and designed as 5, 6 & 7 bedrooms. The types were designed based on modern concepts of naturally lit and interconnecting spaces. The main concept is having a central circulation spine that runs through the spaces and connects the interior to the exterior. On the outside, swimming pools bbq areas and sun bathing decks extend along the interior spaces. This project is already under commission and expected to be completed by 2014. The total Gross Building area is 38000 sqf. located in Dubai, UAE.I was part of the design team and participated in all stages of the project from concept stage to schematic design, construction documents and finally Tender. The whole project was fully modeled and presented in Revit through all stages of work. As the main revit expert in the team, I developed the initial revit model which was then shared among all members and fully developed as a complete project by the design team. This project is currently under tender and expected to start construction in 2013. A: Context Plan; B: North-West View; C: North Elevation; D: South Elevation; E: East Elevation; F: West Elevation

004 DESIGN STUDIO V
2008 Scaffolding and Yoga are the two words that were investigated at the beginning of this project. In a city where construction sites are all over the place, scaffoldings are not rare to see. In the images of scaffolding systems taken from projects in Dubai, the sense of order and integrity is obvious. On the other hand, Yoga is a Hindu spiritual discipline, which includes adaptation of specific bodily postures practiced for health and relaxation. Comparison of these two systems, lead to the opportunity of combining them into one system. 2008 To achieve this aim, a preliminary exercise was done. In this exercise, one scaffolding unite adapts to the human body as the human body takes the form of yoga gesture. After this exercise, a device was developed. This device was made up of a flexible scaffolding system (flexible strings), which could be altered by other forces that resembled the human movement. These two systems were used as space making devices. A: Physical Device; B: Formal Exploration by Physical Model; C: Formal Exploration by Digital Model; D: Initial Concept Developed

WhiteHouse Redux
007 DESIGN STUDIO IV
2007 A programmatic diagram was done to determine different spaces and their relationships to one another. A public event space, ceremony space, offices, private party space and residential are the main spaces that would be connected at different levels through transitional spaces such as reception, exhibition and president office. The process started with formal exploration on the site through series of physical models. The formal concept involves imaginary strips on the land which distort in two directions and create spaces both under and above ground. DESIGN STUDIO IV
2007 The idea is to create an experience of the white house rather than an image. The design interacts with one of the main axes of the city involving the city image from the south view. The final form brings up the opportunity of having different images from different city axes. The site plan emphasizes a design that merges into the vast landscape of the site and preserves the historic essence of the site . 007 DESIGN COMPETITION
2010 The overall urban strategy is to create five different “Wadis (a village in the middle of desert) with dynamic indoor and outdoor spaces. The open spaces in each Wadi interact with the main promenade and lead the flow of the users in and out of each. The Architecture of the first Wadi features the combination of two standardized cells that are arranged on the long sides of the main central open space. This long central space ends at an open theatre on one side, and a large mingling space (Food Hub) on the other side. The interlocking arrangement of the cells allows for a dynamic relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. Also the shared central space enforces interaction among users of different hubs.
