For a more tourist,Mt.Kyaiktiyo is a sight and an

experience to rival the wonders of the Shwedagon Paya or the breathtaking beauty of bagan. Like any proper pilgrimage, a visit here involves a certain amount of hardship.

2. Shwedagon Paya

Over 2500 years old Shwedagon Pagoda is the most popular and well-known pagoda in Yangon.

The pagoda itself is a solid brick stupa (Buddhist reliquary) that is completely covered with gold.

3. Bagan(Nyaung U)

Bagan is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar from the 9th to 13th centuries. From the very first time, Bagan was the capital of the Pagan Kingdom and boasted more than 10,000 Buddhist temples.

4. Inle Lake(Heho)

It is ringed with mountains and is a heaven of waterfowl, some of which are endangered.

Visit to Inle Lake’s famous Phaung daw oo Pagoda, floating gardens. Enjoy canoeing with the unique leg rowing method of Inntha (native people of Inntha).

8. Bago(Pegu)

Bago was formerly known as Pegu. It is a city and the capital of Bago Region in Myanmar.

Being an ancient capital of Mon Kingdom in 15th century, you can enjoy the Bago sightseeing including ancient Buddha Images. Most sightseeing is Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha.

9. Ngapali Beach

It is famous for its natural and unspotted beauty up to this day. The beach stretches about 3 km with soft white sand fringed by coconut palms. Ngapali Beach is one of the loveliest places in Myanmar.

10. Mrauk U

Mrauk U Myanmar was also known as “Myohaung” meaning the ancient city.

During the rainy season, Mekong River reaches a breadth of 14 km, the widest width of the Me-

kong along its 4.350 km journey from China to Vietnam. During the dry season the waters recede and leave behind hundreds if not thousand of islands and islets

The caves consist of two levels, the lower level and the upper level.

There are hundreds of mostly wooden Buddha figures inside the caves with different shapes and sizes. In the lower level there are about 2,500 Buddha images and in the upper level there are about 1,500 Buddha images.

Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over

some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decoration

2. Angkor Thom

There are five entrances (gates) to the city, one for each cardinal point, and the victory gate lead-

ing to the Royal Palace area. Each gate is crowned with 4 giant faces.

3. Sihanoukville

Preah Sihanouk province is Cambodia’s most famous beach town. Better known as Kampong Som

4. Toul Sleng Genocide Museum

The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is a museum in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The site

is a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979. Tuol Sleng in Khmer; means “Hill of the Poisonous Trees” or “Strychnine Hill”

5: Ta Prohm

Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found. Huge trees, reminiscent

of ancient redwoods and oaks, are blended into the walls, and rocks hugging the giant roots gives the temple a surreal appearance.

6. Apsara Show

Apsara dance is the commonly used term to describe the traditional Cambodian dance form

that was previously practised in the royal palaces. “Khmer Classical Dance” would probably be more accurate descriptions.

It is commonly known as the valley of a 1000 Lingas. It consists of a series of stone carvings in and around the Stung Kbal Spean river.

8. Banteay Srei

The temple consists of low walls surrounding

peaked structures of deep red sandstone. It is said that the reliefs on this temple are so delicate that they could only have been carved by the hand of a woman. The well-preserved relief carvings on the central buildings depict scenes from ancient Hindu tales.
