Fund Raising at P and Llys-Cwm-Ll Peacehaven Court was once again a hive of activity, as all the residents prepared for this year’s St David’s Day celebrations. All of those involved had a busy time baking all sorts of traditional cakes and breads including Welsh Cakes, Bara Brith, and Welsh Cawl and fresh bread rolls. Everyone enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon and with that in mind, residents decided that they would do something similar for Red Nose Day! Once again, everyone involved had a lovely afternoon, and they managed to raise £30.05 for Comic Relief. A BIG thank you goes to everyone who helped to make the afternoon such fun, and a special thank you goes to the lady who made a pot of the most delicious soup. The next event on their calendar is the Royal Wedding celebrations – more of that in our next edition! Fundraising activities also took place at Llys–Cwm–Llwydrhew, where an amazing £200.00 was raised for Children in Need.

away Equalities Panel A new panel has been established to ensure that everything Tai Calon does has regard for the needs of its residents and clients. Meeting every month for around 2 hours at a time, the panel will view policies, procedures and examine the physical layout of Tai Calon buildings. This will help to address any impact in relation to disability, race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation and the Welsh language that may occur in relation to service users. If you feel that you would like to contribute to the work of this panel please contact Andy MacDougall on 0300 303 1717.
