Grace and Peace, First and foremost, we would like to thank God for being with us and seeing us through these 26 years. For God is faithful and we praise Him for being just that. To all the members, families, friends, and guests — we say thank you for sharing in our 26th Pastoral and Church Anniversary. Thank you for all of your sacrifices, prayers, and support. Your diligence and hard work certainly does not go unrecognized, and it is well appreciated. Your participation during our celebration and for the last 26 years means so much to us. Our prayer is that we continue to grow spiritually and continue to positively impact your lives. This week, we celebrate a long, lasting, and rich legacy and we are grateful to God for the many years he has continued to bless the Fresh Anointing Cathedral church family. Thank you for your stewardship, your love, and especially your support; but more importantly, thank you for your faithfulness. May God continue to bestow blessings upon you and your families as you continue to be strong on purpose by choice.

EVANGELIST KAREN CLARK-SHEARD

Karen Clark Sheard (born Karen Valencia Clark) is an American gospel singer, member of seminal group The Clark Sisters, and mother of contemporary gospel singer Kierra “Kiki” Sheard. Brief Biography Karen Clark Sheard was born the youngest of six children born to Pastor Elbert Clark and Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, a pioneering gospel choral director. Clark-Sheard is best known for being a member of iconic gospel group The Clark Sisters. Karen’s involvement in the Island Inspirational All Stars’ “Don’t Give Up” in 1996 (along with Donald Lawrence, Hezekiah Walker, and Kirk Franklin) led to her signing with Island Records.[1] Her solo career began with the release of her debut album Finally Karen in 1997. The album, consisting of half studio recordings and half live recordings, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album in 1998. The set did however win the Lady Of Soul award for Best Gospel Album the same year. After Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark-Sheard became the 2nd gospel artist to sign to Elektra Records. She released her Elektra debut album 2nd Chance in 2002 led off by the single “Be Sure”. Though ClarkSheard was in excellent form vocally, the slick, progressive sound of the disc was not received well. The 2003 followup The Heavens Are Telling fared well, but came at an awkward time when Elektra Records was being dissolved into Atlantic Records. In 2005, after a bidding war with several labels, Karen Clark Sheard finally signed with Word Records and issued It’s Not Over, the following year. Singers Mariah Carey, Faith Evans and Beyoncé all count Karen Clark-Sheard as one of their greatest vocal influences. Personal life On June 16, 1984, Karen Clark-Sheard wed John Drew Sheard, a minister. Her husband is senior pastor of Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ in Detroit. Together they have 2 children: Kierra, who is also a gospel recording artist, and John Drew Sheard II, a young musician and up-and-coming producer.

APOSTLE AL JONES

Albert Augustus Jones, Sr. was born to the late Bishop A. J. Jones, Sr. and Pastor Lauretta Jones. He was raised as an avid member of the Church of God in Christ and comes from a family of ministers chosen by God to share His Word and lead mankind to righteousness. After a period of abusing crack cocaine and the death of his father, Pastor Jones endured a severe state of suicidal depression that led to a drug overdose. This experience compelled him to surrender all to the Lord and answer the long awaited mandate of God prophetically spoken by Bishop Darrell L. Hines. He was ordained in the ministry on August 20, 1986 and established Revelation International Ministries, July 1994. Since its inception, he has ministered the unadulterated Word of God with wisdom, power and conviction through revelatory knowledge following the commission as stated in Galatians 1: 11 & 12 (KJV); “But I certify you brethren that the gospel which I preach is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” In June 1995, he received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Doctorate of Divinity from Rhema Seminary and College in Norfolk, Virginia and has since established a number of covenant and outreach ministries. In 2003, Pastor Jones was appointed by Bishop Darrell L. Hines, National Director to serve as the Regional Services Coordinator for the Men’s Department, Church of God in Christ. God has entrusted him to walk in all offices of the fivefold ministry gifts as he ministers from a peripheral viewpoint (a broader perspective), a panoramic viewpoint (insight concerning the purpose of all characters involved) and a dispensational foundation (according to a particular era of time). His message is to remain God-centered, committed to the studying of God’s Word live the life of faith, protect the inheritance of the next generation, develop a personal relationship towards eternal purpose, and finally, to know that the power of your destiny is in your ability to think in the Word of God. Pastor Jones is supported in ministry by his family, friends and church members.
