Terms and Conditions of Sale
Terms of the sale are cash. Payment in full must be made immediately after the sale. A cheque is acceptable from properly identified individuals upon approval of the office. All American purchases must be paid in cash, money wire, or transfer with the dollar amount established in lieu of current exchange rates. Funds must be received before the horse will be released from the sale barn. All horse purchases are subject to 13% HST.
The highest bidder will be the buyer, subject to reserve. If a dispute arises between 2 or more bidders the horse shall immediately be put up again for advance bids. If there are no advance bids, the horse shall go to the person from whom the auctioneer recognized the last bid. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
No guarantees whatsoever are made by the sale committee, auctioneer, or anyone associated with Hillside Horse Sales as to the quality or soundness of any consignments. Presentations given in writing to the sale committee will be announced at the time of the sale as though given from the consignor. Any verbal announcements made on sale day take precedence over any previously printed matter. Any claims made based upon the presentations, guarantees, or omissions shall be made against the consignor only and not against the sale committee or anyone related to the sale.
