A Word from Robert & Tania.

In

this new and ever changing landscape of emerging digital technologies and social media, it is a constant effort to move forward and remain engaged with what’s current. Tairo has always been intertwined with the always expanding Caribbean and Mexican Duty Free Markets. With that being said, we are making our first attempt at a newly revised, revamped digital version of our newsletter. This provides us, first and foremost, a more green method of providing all the updates and visuals of the local markets, as well as a more immediate way to receive and share the newsletter. This way we can provide feedback

from the brand’s activities with the markets in which we do business. This edition features P&G’s newest launches and their installments as well as some new internal additions looking at thoughts from various Tairo team members and Brand Managers. We will also include prizes and awards given to Beauty Advisors for excellent merchandising. We’re hoping that the “New Newsletter” gives a more nuanced and current appeal that all of our readers will enjoy and look forward to reading. As always we welcome your feedback and invite your opinions and input for future editions.

true power couple, Dolce&Gabbana The One and Dolce&Gabbana The One for Men courted and sealed the deal for the Caribbean. These classic and outstanding fragrances with their dated and complex history did what they do best with this revitalizing campaign. By adding the even more beautiful couple of Matthew McConaughey and Scarlett Johansson along with the Martin Scorcese directed TV spot this relaunch was by no fault a sure success. Like perfectly placed dominoes stood in line, the pieces fell into place to make this one of the most successful fragrances and displays this past year.

HUGO

fragrances have collaborated with two up and coming artists – Kate Boy and Kasper Bjørke – to reshape famous classic recordings for the new HUGO Man Music Limited Edition. Each artist selected a track which they “turned upside down” to create an innovative cover. The result is a unique set of tracks that embody originality and the power of reinvention. HUGO Man has been redefined to become the HUGO Man Music Limited Edition, with each fragrance containing a download code for the two exclusive upside down tracks.This rhythmic and boisterous remix of the Hugo brands reinvigorated the Caribbean and Mexico giving new life and a new feel to the classic scents and showed that greatness can only be made better with a good back track and a hot beat.

Mexico, Tairo and Hugo Boss celebrated the international phenomenon that is the World Cup. The co-promotion of three classic and beloved Hugo Boss fragrances, along with some of the brightest and most impressive International Fútbol talents, were dressed to win in Mexico. The Fútbol initiative combined local fan enthusiasm, fashion and fragrance to create a Chimera of excitement and local pride. The talents featured included Mexico’s own Aldo De Nigris as well as Argentina’s Fernando Gago and Brazil’s Thiago Silva, a Championship Trio to say the least. 17

usually pick my fragrance based on what I’m wearing and how I’m feeling that day. During the day, I like to wear Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue. For an elegant evening out, I like to wear Gucci Guilty or Dolce&Gabbana The One. However, my new favorite fragrance is Dolce&Gabbana Pour Femme… I love to wear this fragrance anytime of the day!

Alexandra Cano uring my work week, I like to use Marketing Coordinator Boss Ma Vie. For my daytime Marketing Department weekend outings, I like the scent of Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle. However, for the night, I mostly like to wear Gucci Guilty, especially for all special occasions.

uring the day if I’m feeling fancier I like to wear Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Panarea, slightly sweet and smoky but still light, and it lasts! For a more casual moment it’s Escada Joyful, juicy and sweet but not overpowering. Also, it’s perfect for hot weather. During the night, in an elegant setting I pick Gucci Premiere EDP or DG The One, both classic! If it’s a casual night, Boss MaVie, I love the fact it’s not too sweet or musky, it’s a really nice mix of flower and mild spice and the soft pink color is so pretty! DG Dolce is also nice, light and the bottle is gorgeous!

THE WORLD “CHIMES FOR CHANGE” AT THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE CHIME FOR CHANGE, founded by Gucci, presents THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE and raises $4.3 million in ticket sales to support girls’ and women’s empowerment Surprise performances and collaborations by JAY Z with Beyoncé, Mary J Blige with Jennifer Lopez, Simon Le Bon with Timbaland and opening act Jessie J Appearances and performances from special guests including Madonna, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, James Franco, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and many more

On Sunday, the 2nd of June 2013, London, UK – THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE gathered together some of the world’s most talented artists and renowned activists to raise funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment. The four-hour concert event, attended by more than 50,000 people, was presented by CHIME FOR CHANGE, founded by Gucci, which campaigns for improved Education, Health and Justice for women and girls worldwide. CHIME FOR CHANGE co-founders Frida Giannini and Salma Hayek Pinault introduced fellow co-founder Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, who performed a special 45-minute set at the climax of the show.

The concert event raised $4.3 million in ticket sales alone, which will fund approximately 200 projects in 70 countries around the world through CHIME FOR CHANGE partner Catapult, the first crowd-funding platform solely dedicated to advancing the lives of girls. Gucci underwrote the concert event so that each ticket buyer could donate the value of their ticket (less VAT and service fees) to a nonprofit organization of their choice. Viewers from around the world can also donate online at chimeforchange.org and fb.com/chimeforchange.
