CLICK HERE TO BOOK TICKETS Humble Beginnings: The boy that made good from Luton Bedfordshire, played football after school for the Vauxhall Motors factory and in his spare time, played in a few bands as a bass guitarist. The late seventies kicked off Paul’s musical career with a band called 'Streetband' and produced a song titled “Toast”, a novelty track and a one-off hit, which charted in the top 20. Every month I’m going to write a column titled "Howard's Way"; up close and personal for Take Five magazine... I've some great artists and friends I've worked with over the years in the music business coming' onboard... and we’re gonna kick off with my great mate Paul Young. I’ve know Paul and his lovely family for what seems like ages but what a guy! Fame has never gone to his head and he's a total loving, family person. It's my pleasure to be bringing him here, to Torrevieja on May 26th, for a special Charity Concert at Torrevieja's International Auditorium on aid of Cancer Research UK and Rock Against

The band disbanded in 1979. Steetband reformed with Paul and his mates from North London decided to call the band “The Q Tips”. There were many ups and downs in that band also, which included a few personnel changes. The band carried on gigging and attracted a multitude of record label attention, recorded two albums and seven singles but not much

happened and the band disbanded in 1982. Following the “Q Tips” Paul signed for Columbia Records as a solo performer. Paul’s new backing band “The Royal Family” included the amazing Italian fretless bass player Pino Palladino, who was playing with Jools Holland. The first two singles, "Iron Out the Rough Spots" and a cover of "Love of the Common People" didn’t have any success, but the third, a cover of Marvin Gaye’s song, "Wherever I Lay My Hat", reached No. 1 in the UK singles chart and was there for three weeks in the summer of 1983; the first of 14 British Top 40 singles.

in the studio was on November 25th 1984 as he sang the opening lines to 'Do They Know It's Christmas', for Band Aid.

Paul then had major success in Europe and followed up from “Wherever I lay My Hat” with “Come Back And Stay”, which reached No 2 in the UK charts. He then re-released “Love Of The Common People”, which also charted at No 2. Paul then recorded his debut album titled “No Parlez” in 1983, which went straight into the No 1 slot in the UK album charts, went triple platinum and stayed in the top 100 for 119 weeks, with sales of just under one million.

If you would like to listen to the interview I did with Paul at his home, just copy the link to your browser: www.mixcloud.com/lee-howard3/myinterview-with-my-amazing-friendpaul-young-recorded-at-his-home-incsome-of-his-great-tracks/ Next month’s article I’m gonna pick up Paul's story again and bring you up top date with his recording career and new album releases... In the meantime, why not book your tickets now to see and hear the great Paul Young yourself, on May 26, at Torrevieja's International Auditorium

1984 was a difficult year for Paul as he badly strained his Vocal chords while on tour in America. His first time back

Dame Helen Mirren's confidence boost By Bang Showbiz Dame Helen Mirren thinks makeup gives her confidence and she loves its transformative effects. The 73-year-old actress has always enjoyed experimenting with cosmetics and loves the satisfying feeling she gets when she looks in the mirror after her face is finished. She said: ''I've always loved make-up. It can make you into a character. It can make you look better and, of course, it can make you look worse. ''I absolutely love make-up and it's my pleasure to wear it. ''I think it imbues a certain confidence.

''When you put your make-up on, you go out and then catch a reflection of yourself and think, 'Oh actually, I look OK. That's satisfying.' '' The 'Red' actress - who is married to director Taylor Hackford - urged people to be more experimental with their beauty look because if something doesn't work, it's easily removed. She said: ''People should always experiment with make-up and try different looks. And if it's terrible, it doesn't matter - you can scrub it all off.'' While the 'Leisure Seeker' actress loves experimenting with make-up, she recently admitted she's more

She told Britain's Vogue magazine: ''You do have to be brave. When people say, 'Getting old is not for p*****s,' there's a certain amount of truth to that. ''When I was in my late 30s, my mother gave me some fantastic advice. 'Never be afraid of getting old,' she said, 'because when you're 20 the idea of being 35 is horrific. When you're 35 the idea of being 55 is a nightmare, but as you get older you realise that you have the tools to deal

willing to go out bare-faced these days. She said: ''I never used to leave the house without a bit of makeup on. But the more you need it the less you care about it. And even though I know that I might be stopped and asked for a selfie, I just don't mind any more.'' The 'Queen' actress thinks people have to be ''brave'' about getting older but she's accepted being able to deal with her advancing years.

Real Women: Dame Helen Mirren

After high school, she began her acting career in theatre working in many titles, all the way up to Broadway.

Dame Helen Mirren was born in Queen Charlotte's Hospital in West London. Her mother, Kathleen Alexandrina Eva Matilda (Rogers), was from a working-class English family, and her father, Vasiliy Petrovich Mironov, was a Russian-born civil servant, from Kuryanovo, whose own father was a diplomat. Mirren attended St. Bernards High School for girls, where she would act in school productions.

Her paternal grandparents were Russian. Her grandfather, Piotr Vasilievich Mironoff, was a Tsarist aristocrat who was in London negotiating an arms deal during World War I when the 1917 Russian Revolution stranded him there. His wife and son (Helen's father) joined him in London. On her mother's side, she is of English descent.

Before marrying director Taylor Hackford in 1997, she had lived with him in Los Angeles since 1986. Way back when, she used to work in Southend on Sea; Essex; UK at an amusement park "The Kursaal" as a "blagger" to attract customers on to rides. She was awarded the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2003 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to drama. She allegedly refused the C.B.E. (Commander of Order of the British Empire) in 1996. Despite her Russian birth name and ancestry, she does not speak Russian, but is fluent in French. Her great-great-great-greatgrandfather was field-marshal Kamensky, one of the Russian

heroes of the Napoleonic wars. At the premiere of The Queen (2006) at the Venice Film Festival, her performance received a 5 minute standing ovation.

Played a Queen a total of six times: The Queen (2006), Elizabeth I (2005), The Prince of Egypt (1998), The Snow Queen (1995), The Madness of King George (1994), and Caligula (1979). Became the third person, after Sigourney Weaver and Joan Plowright, to win two Golden Globes for acting in the same year. The characters she played were both Queens of England, Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II. She owns houses in Los Angeles, London, and the south of France. Man's Man: Steve McQueen McQueen was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Julia Ann (Crawford) and William Terence McQueen, a stunt pilot. His first lead role was in the low-budget scifi film The Blob (1958), quickly followed by roles in The St. Louis Bank Robbery (1959) and Never So Few (1959).

He was the ultra-cool male film star of the 1960s, and rose from a troubled youth spent in reform schools to being the world's most popular actor. Over 37 years after his untimely death from mesothelioma on November 7th, 1980, Steve McQueen is still considered hip and cool, and he endures as an icon of popular culture.

The young McQueen appeared as Vin, alongside Yul Brynner, in the star-laden The Magnificent Seven (1960) and effectively hijacked the lead from the bigger star by ensuring he was nearly always doing something in every shot he and Brynner were in together, such as adjusting his hat or gun belt. Riding a wave of popularity, McQueen delivered another crowd pleaser in the knockout World War II P.O.W. film The Great Escape (1963), featuring his famous leap over the barbed wire on a motorcycle while being pursued by

Thomas Crown Affair (1968) and what many consider his signature role, that of a maverick, taciturn detective in the mega-hit Bullitt (1968), renowned for its famous chase sequence through San

Francisco between McQueen's Ford Mustang and the killer's black Dodge Charger. Nazi troops (in fact, however, the stunt was actually performed by his good friend, stunt rider Bud Ekins). McQueen next appeared in several films of mixed quality with the standout roles including The Cincinnati Kid (1965), Nevada Smith (1966), The Sand Pebbles (1966), with Faye Dunaway in the provocative crime drama The

Other notable films included Le Mans (1971), Junior Bonner (1972), The Getaway (1972), Papillon (1973), The Towering Inferno (1974), Tom Horn (1980) and his final film when he portrayed real-life bounty hunter Ralph "Papa' Thorson (Ralph Thorson) in The Hunter (1980).

Steve McQueen passed away on November 7, 1980, at age 50 after the cancer surgery which was said to be successful. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea. He married three times and had a lifelong love of motor racing, once remarking, "Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting.". Steve McQueen Trivia Trained in Tang Soo Do with ninthdegree black belt Pat E. Johnson (not Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris as is popularly believed). His son was trained in karate by Norris. Lee trained him in Jeet Kune Do.

Served in the United States Marine Corps. Was a pallbearer at the funeral of Bruce Lee. Dropped out of school in ninth grade. He proposed the idea for the drama film The Bodyguard (1992) in 1976. However, this was forgotten for 16 years until 1992, when Kevin Costner revived the idea. Died from two consecutive heart attacks at 3:45 am on November 7, 1980, less than 24 hours after undergoing successful surgery to remove the malignant tumours in his stomach and lungs. According to the doctor present at the operation, his right lung was entirely cancerous. Was originally slated to star with Paul Newman in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969); however, due to a disagreement

over the billing, he left the project. Ironically, the billing method was used several years later when he and Newman starred together in The Towering Inferno (1974). He was very interested in playing John Rambo in the adaptation of the novel "First Blood". He was actually slated to star, but did not due to his death. Sylvester Stallone got the role instead in First Blood (1982). Upon meeting Martin Landau, McQueen told Landau that they had already met. Landau, who didn't remember McQueen, inquired as to where. McQueen told him that he-Landau--was on the back of James Dean's motorcycle when Dean

brought it in for repairs at a garage in New York City. The motorcycle mechanic at the garage was none other than McQueen. Had appeared with Robert Vaughn in three films: The Magnificent Seven (1960), Bullitt (1968) and The Towering Inferno (1974).

Superman (1978), Raise the Titanic (1980) and the opportunity to star in and direct a film called "Deajum's Wife".

Like the coolest movie stars, was strongly connected to Triumph motorcycles, riding a 650cc TR6 Trophy in The Great Escape (1963) and competing on the same model in the 1964 International Six Days Trial held in East Germany. Photographs of his desert racing also show him upon this model. Of all the characters he ever played, he frequently cited Lt. Frank Bullitt from Bullitt (1968) as his favourite. After The Towering Inferno (1974) he was offered several multi-million-dollar roles but refused them all. He turned down the chance to star in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977),

Was offered the co-starring role in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). However, he was still under contract for his television series Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), which prevented him from appearing. The role eventually went to George Peppard. Turned down Clint Eastwood's role in Dirty Harry (1971). Turned down Gene Hackman's Oscar-winning role as drug-busting cop Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle in The French Connection (1971) because he thought the movie was too similar to Bullitt (1968).

Smoked three packs of cigarettes a day.

During the scene in Bullitt (1968) in which the giant airliner taxis just above McQueen, observers were shocked that no double was used. Asked if the producers couldn't have found a dummy, the actor wryly replied, "They did". He was once employed as a "towel boy" in a brothel.

Had a feud with next-door neighbour British rocker Keith Moon ("the loon") of The Who in Malibu. Moon had a habit of leaving his bathroom light on at night. The light shone directly into McQueen's bedroom and kept him awake at night. After telling Moon repeatedly to turn it off without success, he took out a shotgun, blew out the light and went back to bed. Quote: “You only go around once in life and I'm going to grab a handful of it.

Where Are They Now: The cast of Cheers

During the 1980's, we all knew their names and the characters and the storylines. The cast of Cheers and the bar staff knew everyone too and for eleven seasons, from 1982 until 1993, we all enjoyed watching the antics of a group of Boston “barflies. So popular in fact in inspired spinoff, Frasier, with Cheers actor Kelsey Grammer, which also aired for an incredible eleven seasons. Now more than 30 years since it first aired, we thought it was a great time to walk down memory

lane, catch up with the cast of Cheers and see where they are now.

1. Sam Malone played by Ted Danson

2. Diane Chambers played by Shelley Long

One of the only three characters to appear in all of the episodes, Ted Danson's Sam Malone was an integral part of the show that held it all together.

Although she started her career on television movies and by guest starring in shows including MASH and The Love Boat, playing Diane in Cheers made Shelley Long an overnight star.

Since Cheers, Danson has appeared in a number of lead TV roles including Becker, Fargo, CSI and a new show, The Good Place. He has also starred in a number of popular movies like Three Men and a Baby, Made in America and Getting Even With Dad.

After just five seasons on the show, however, due to a desire to spend more time with her family, Long quit the show. Her biggest impact on the silver screen was winning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in 1984's Irreconcilable Differences. Long also went on to play the big screen version of Carol Brady, in the mid-90s film versions of The Brady Bunch.

After being nominated for 11 consecutive Emmy Awards for playing Sam in Cheers, in 1990 he finally won Best Actor in a Comedy and then again in 1993. He has two children and has been married and divorced twice.

More recently she has also appeared on TV shows like Modern Family. Long has been married and divorced twice and has one daughter.

3. Carla Tortelli played by Rhea Perlman

4. Norm Peterson played by George Wendt Also appearing in every episode of the show, Rhea Perlman's impatient waitress was well-known for her violent temper and disdain of almost everyone in the bar aside from Sam. Perlman had little success before Cheers. After the show she reprised her role as Carla on a few occasions, including on The Simpsons and Cheers spin-off Frasier. She has also made appearances in films including 1996's Matilda as the heartless mother, alongside real-life husband Danny DeVito. Perlman married DeVito in 1982 and they have three children.

Norm is famed for his constant complaints about his never-seenon-screen wife Vera and dry oneliners. Before getting into acting, Wendt was expelled from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana over poor grades and then moved into show business with his first job being sweeping a theatre floor. Following Cheers, he had guest roles on Taxi and MASH. After Cheers he had a self-titled sitcom on CBS, but it was cancelled after eight episodes. Since he’s had a number of guest appearances, including Only Fools and Horses spin-off, The Green Green Grass in 2007. He also played Tweedledee in Alice in Wonderland in 1999. His recent Broadway credits include Breakfast at Tiffany's and Elf - The Musical. Wendt married Bernadette Birkett in 1978 - who actually voiced of the mysterious Vera on Cheers and they have one daughter and two sons.

5. Cliff Clavin played by John Ratzenberger

Cliff played the know it all postal worker who lives with his mother and finds it very hard to talk to women and who sees Sam as a hero. Ratzenberger was living in London when he began his career in the performing arts. His first role was a patron in The Ritz (1976). Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s,

Ratzenberger appeared in various minor roles in major feature films, including Firefox; A Bridge Too Far, as Lieutenant James Megellas; Superman, as a missile controller; Superman II, as the NASA control man; Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back as Major Derlin; Motel Hell as a drummer; Outland as a doomed mine worker named Tarlow; and Gandhi, playing an American lieutenant While you won’t have seen him much after Cheers, you have almost certainly heard him, as Ratzenberger has appeared in every single Pixar film and is known as the studio's mascot, notably as Hamm the Piggy Bank in the Toy Story series.

6. Ernie “Coach” Pantusso played by Nicholas Colasanto Working behind the bar and generally not understanding anything going on around him, Coach was the lovable doofus of Cheers, who had a dimwit and was “borderline senile”.

7. Rebecca Howe played by Kirstie Alley Replacing Long at the start of season six, Rebecca was a businesswoman who took over running the bar after Sam sold it.

After he developed heart disease in the mid-1970s, he was set to retire from acting before being offered the role in Cheers. His health got worse as the show went on, although he kept it a secret from the cast and crew. He was eventually hospitalised during the third season in January 1985, and, although he was released in early February, he suffered a fatal heart attack on February 12 at home in Los Angeles. He was written out of the show as having died off-screen and a picture was placed on the set as a tribute.

Kirstie Alley had some success before Cheers, making her film debut in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, while she earned an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Rebecca in 1991. It was around this time she had huge success on the big screen alongside John Travolta and the voice of Bruce Willis in the Look Who’s Talking series. More recently she has entered reality TV, competing on Dancing with the Stars in the US in 2011 and taking part in Channel 4’s Time Crashers in 2015 – which challenged celebrities to complete various daily tasks from different time periods. She also appears as Nurse Hoffel in US comedy horror series Scream Queens. Allie has been married twice and has two children.

8. Woody Boyd played by Woody Harrelson Woody arrived at the bar in season four and became the new bartender.

a fixture at the bar.

He is arguably the most successful of the cast, appearing in numerous hit films and television series, including Oscar Best Picture winner No Country for Old Men, the Hunger Games franchise and his Emmy-nominated role in HBO’s True Detective. He has twice been nominated for an Oscar for The People vs Larry Flynt and The Messenger, while his work as Woody earned him an Emmy in 1989.

Two years before he joined Cheers, Kelsey Grammer made his television debut in 1982, with his most notable role coming in Kennedy, a miniseries based around the life of assassinated President John F Kennedy. His career took off with Cheers, and he portrayed his character for 20 years after spinning-off into the hugely successful Frasier, for which he won four Emmy Awards.

He is a father to three daughters with Laura Louie, whom he has been with since 1987 and married in 2008.

The show ended in 2004 and Grammer began appearing in more films, scoring roles in blockbusters including X Men: The Last Stand and Transformers: Age of Extinction as well while he is wellknown for his voice work, notably as the evil Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons.

9. Frasier Crane played by Kelsey Grammer

Grammer has been married four times and has seven children.

After entering Cheers as a guest character at the start of season three to help Sam through his break-up with Diane, intelligent psychiatrist Frasier Crane became

A Few Fun Facts You Might Not Know about “Smokey and the Bandit” By Keith `Nicol Smokey and the Bandit was a landmark in comedy, action, car chase films. It was made as almost a loss leader for the summer marketplace and Drive-In Movie theatres for the summer of 1977, but proved to be a huge success and the second highest grossing film of the year. It stands out as one of Burt Reynolds’ best performances ever and let the studios know that he didn't take himself too seriously. Smokey and the Bandit is just good fun and created a genre that many others followed. . Here are ten fun facts that you might not have known: 10. A lot of lines were improvised. For a start, when it came to improvisation, lead actress Sally Field had almost no script to learn and improvised almost her entire part. Jackie Gleason, the Sheriff, was a huge American Sit-Com star from the early days of Television. However, his part was more or less just a 'bit part' so many of his lines were just improvised in the moment and came off the top of his head along with such classic moments as coming out of the bathroom with toilet paper stuck to his pants. All kept in the movie and keep the cast laughing throughout. 9. Burt Reynolds was promised a Trans-Am if the film was a hit. Pontiac did not think the movie would be a hit and were less than pleased when the four Trans Am cars they provided were completely written off during film making. Although the film was a huge hit, and

Pontiac Firebird production reached bursting point, Reynolds didn’t get his car. When he went to pick up his car, he found out that the executive that promised him the car had retired, and the new senior executive wouldn’t honour the promise. 8. Coors wasn’t allowed east of Mississippi at the time the film was made. Apparently Coors wasn’t allowed in certain states due to the fact that it wasn’t pasteurised and needed to be kept cold at all times. That’s what spawned the idea for the movie. Director Hal Needham said that the idea of the beer caper came about because of a hotel maid who regularly sneaked Coors beers from Needham’s hotel room. Needham remembered about an article he had read about Coors Light and how difficult it was to find since it was legal it just a dozen states. Thus, Smokey and the Bandit was born. 7. Alfred Hitchcock watched the film every week. According to his daughter, Hitchcock absolutely adored Smokey and the Bandit. If he was working in his office, most Wednesday's he'd screen the movie and have a good laugh. It's one of the few films he enjoyed the most during his last several years of his life. High praise indeed

6. Different Trans-Am’s were used in the production of the movie. A bigger and stronger Chevy engine was used for the bridge jumping shots, with two cars wrecked during this sequence, another wrecked during it's drive around the wetter than expected football field, and the couple of 'normal' cars, just eventually fell apart with all the stunts and burn out they were expected to perform. fNot a one of them were serviceable by the time the film was done and Pontiac were not too happy as their deal was to receive four cars back in serviceable condition. Needham saw a picture of the Pontiac Trans Am and knew it was the right car for “the Bandit” (Burt Reynolds). He came up with a plan to sell the idea to Pontiac as a great product placement idea AND he understood that they’d destroy them in the stunt scenes…so he requested six T/As but only got four. Sure enough, 3 of the 4 were totalled and for the final scene, they had to use another car to push the 4th in to the scene. Why? Because after that 4th T/A took a beating from the stunts, her engine just wouldn’t start. 5. Jackie Gleason modelled his character after Burt Reynolds’ father. Burt Reynold's father was a Sheriff and so Burt helped direct Jackie on how to talk and how to act in order to make the best impression out of it. 4. Trans-Am sales soared after this movie was released. The number of Trans-Am’s sold when the movie came out was close to 69,000 a year, while it jumped to well over 100,000 only a couple of years later.

3. Burt wanted Sally Field for the movie She accepted even though she had to improvise most of her script. But it was a break from her more serious roles to date. During the filmmaking real romance blossomed and before they knew it, they were in a serious relationship–a relationship that happened to last five years. 2. The Trans-Am used for the bridge stunt was wrecked beyond repair. The stunt went alright and no one was hurt thankfully but the car was just totalled. 1. The Bandit breaks the fourth wall. At the fifteen-minute mark in the movie Bandit looks at the camera and smiles. Smokey And The Bandit Distributed by: Release date: Running time: Budget: Box office:

Universal Pictures May 27, 1977 96 minutes $4.3 million $300 million[3]

The best way to move forward By Robert Landau

Somebody once told me that the best way to live life is to keep moving forward. The smallest step can create the biggest wave of change. My career history is proof positive of that. I was very unhappy with my acting career in New York City. Things just weren’t turning out the way I had hoped. Each month seemed more disappointing than the last and to say that I was losing hope was an understatement. Night after night I’d bemoan my fate. It was a true “Woe is me” scenario. I eventually came to the conclusion that the only way out of the rut I had progressively dug myself into was choosing to take my power back and plan a way out. It was then that I could actually see the Light at the end of the tunnel. I suddenly realised that I wasn’t a victim, I was a true conscious co-creator.

Once I made the choice to get out of my way, amazing things began to happen. By using the power of feeling combined with visualisation, I manifested the most amazing Cruise Director career which included years of visiting remote ports of call learning the things modern societies have long forgotten. Having stepped off the cruise ships years ago, I now use the same tools of feeling combined with imagination to create a challenging and satisfying career as a National Motivational Speaker and Certified Life Coach.

making your wish a reality? Somewhere along the line, you need to see and feel the end-result even though you haven’t started to physically move in that direction. Your mind is a powerful tool that you can use to great effect. It can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

I have learned that through what appears to be a great disappointment, a phoenix of new opportunity can rise from the ashes of failure and disappointment. But here’s the key, I have to be part of the process of re-imaging my destiny. It won’t happen on its own. Why don’t things always turn out the way we’d like them to? I believe that our path in life is never a straight shot. Rather, it’s full of many twists and turns. If life were as easy as a straight shot, we wouldn’t be here. The trick is how you choose to deal with the many curves that your life’s journey tends to throw at you from time to time. When you want something to happen, how do you go about

Sometimes initial wishes don’t come true. If things don’t turn out the way you were expecting, here are some important things to remember; 1. Don’t freak out! Stuff happens but it’s how you choose to deal with it that makes all the difference in the world. You might not be able to change external events, but you can certainly make the choice as to how you want to react to what’s happening within. No storm lasts forever. 2. Acknowledge it Acknowledge that things didn’t complete themselves in the best way possible and then let it go. Releasing it allows you to take the next important step. If you choose to hold on to the failure and disappointment, you’re blocking something greater from coming to you.

4. Reset

3. Move on Leaving disappointment behind is one of the healthiest things you can do. It’s when you choose to dwell on the negative that things can backfire. If you constantly entertain recurring mind-chatter thoughts of why things didn’t work out the way you think they should have, you’ll never move out of that space of disappointment. Remember, thoughts combined with feelings always turn into things. Moving on lets you refresh the situation and allows you to set another goal that will have an even better ending. If you’re listening to an album of someone’s songs and you don’t like the first number, what do you do? You move on to the next. And so it is in life. You make the choice if you want to dwell on hearing the same song over and over. You always have the power to make the choice to move to the next number on the album.

Now that you’ve left disappointment behind, create a better version of exactly what you want to happen. Before you even start to go along the path of claiming what it is you want, make sure you totally believe that you’ll receive what you’re asking for. Believe that you truly deserve and are worthy of it. So many prayers and intent-filled meditations go unanswered simply because there was a core belief that prevented the final manifestation from occurring. You may not get what you want, but you will always get what you need. Finally, make the choice to embrace life with open arms. Be open, not closed. If something doesn’t work out, move on to the next adventure. Life is so short. Why spend more time dwelling on something that didn’t work out? You have more power than you often think you do. Realise that you are here for a reason and know that life is never a straight shot. Understanding that there will indeed be some twists and turns along the way keeps you firmly on the path you were always meant to travel. You got this!

How To Stay Fit On A Cruise

From Rol Cruise

While travelling the world on a cruise, for many it’s the opportunity to sit back, relax and explore some of the world’s most stunning destinations. But did you know, over 55% of people have actually gained weight on a cruise? Whether you’re on a world expedition cruise or a scenic river cruise, the idea of sticking to your fitness routine might seem like a struggle, but it’s actually a lot easier than you might think. From exploring ports by foot and bike to making the most of your cruise ship’s gym facilities, we asked travel and lifestyle bloggers to tell us their top tips for keeping fit while on a cruise. How to stay fit on a cruise Cruises are more health-focused than ever, take advantage of this Make sensible food choices, even upping calorie intake on physically demanding port days Use the ship’s top-ofthe-range gym facilities Try other on-board activities to keep fit, such as a surf simulator Make the most of the space out on the deck and in your cabin Choose active shore excursions such as hiking Keep track of your calorie intake and exercise with a fitness tracker Cruises are more health-focused than ever “Cruising doesn't have to be synonymous with decadence,” says Adam Coulter, UK Managing Editor at Cruise Critic. A seasoned cruiser, Adam says that he’s noticed cruise lines offering more in the way of health and fitness on their ships and excursions over the last few years. By making some simple changes, Adam says it’s easier than ever to maintain your

waistline or even drop a few pounds. “If you take advantage of your cruise as an opportunity to spend time in the gym, choose active shore excursions and make smart food decisions, you can actually lose weight on your next trip. With all of the wellness-focused offerings now found in cruise ship gyms, spas and restaurants, as well as ashore, it's never been easier to make smart decisions about keeping fit on a cruise.” Make sensible food choices Eating a healthy breakfast on a cruise As well as offering more ways to stay active, cruise ships are doing their part to ensure there is plenty of choice when it comes to healthy food. “Over the years, cruise lines have responded to requests for healthy choices by offering vegetarian, vegan, low-fat, gluten-free and sugar-free options in their main dining rooms – and there are now plenty more juice bars onboard too,” says Adam. “Some lines have separate menus, and others mark dishes with symbols at each meal. As a result, there is more variety in these categories than ever before. In addition, you can always ask for regular menu dishes to be served without the heavy sauce or rich sides. On luxury lines, such as Seabourn and Silversea, you can also place orders in advance for your favourite healthy dishes.” Although you’ll want to be mindful about what you’re eating, Welsh Mum of One blogger Christy says to make sure you enjoy yourself too. “My main tip would be to be conscious of what you're eating and when, as it is quite easy to over indulge on the sweet treats but to make sure you still enjoy yourself - everything in moderation!” Christy also says another reason for not being too calorie-restrictive is excursions. “Quite often, port-heavy shore excursions and trips will really exhaust you, so you'll need those extra calories at the end of the day.”

Use the ship’s gym facilities

Of course, one of first things that spring to mind when keeping fit on a cruise is to use the gym facilities on offer. But if you think your cruise ship will just have a small gym with a few creaky machines and old equipment, you’ll be sorely mistaken! “Increasingly, cruise lines are dedicating more space to their gyms, and outfitting them with state-of-the-art equipment,” says Adam. “You’ll often find Kinesis walls, Pilates reformers and fabulous cardio equipment with video screens attached.” Sarah from Tammy Mum also recommends hitting the gym, especially if you want to keep up with your at-home fitness regime. “Cruise ships often have excellent gyms with great facilities, not to mention personal trainers and fitness classes. What’s more, access to the gym is usually free so you can keep up your usual exercise routine at no extra cost. “On our first cruise we didn’t take our gym kit only to find we really missed keeping fit, especially whilst over indulging on an almost daily basis. We ended up buying an emergency gym kit at one of the ports. We always make sure to take our gym kit when cruising now!”

Try other on-board activities to keep fit If the gym isn't your cup of tea, you can always try out a number of other, new onboard innovations to make keeping fit fun, says Adam. Some of these include: “Flywheel indoor cycling classes on select Norwegian and Royal Caribbean ships or black-light spinning classes on Norwegian Breakaway.” But that’s not all, says Adam. “Royal Caribbean's surf simulator will certainly help you to perfect your strength and balance as try and stay on the board; whilst rockclimbing walls are a great way to stretch while holding up your own weight as you make your way up. Dancing, fencing, swimming and mini-golf onboard are also great ways to burn off the calories.” Find space to do your own workouts Prefer to work out in peace? Adam suggests finding and making use of space available on the cruise ship. “Use your room or the ship’s decks to practice yoga or do your cardio. Decks provide the perfect set-up for stretching as you can use the ship’s railings to help you warm up or even train to be more flexible.” Racous By Nature blogger Rebecca also recommends getting out on the deck, particularly to make use of the running track. “Most cruise ships have some kind of running track, and there is nothing quite like a jog around it as the sun is coming up or going down with the sea sparkling all around you!” If you still need a bit of motivating to get out there, Devon Mama blogger Hayley recommends taking part in your ship’s ‘deck trek’, which is a great socialising opportunity too. “Most cruise ships will run a daily walk around the deck which can be a fun way of keeping fit and meeting some of your fellow passengers.

Choose active shore excursions “Pick excursions which were a bit more physically demanding,” says blogger Jessica from The Weekend Tourist. “For example, we did a twohour hike through the Amazon rainforest, rather than just a bus ride." Blogger Elle Croft agrees that one of the easiest ways to sneak exercise into your day is through excursions. “Although staying fit within the confines of a ship can be a challenge, once you disembark it's even easier! Choose shore excursions that include lots of walking or avoid the organised tours altogether and stroll around a new destination, taking in the sights and sounds at your own pace.” Adam says that a great way to see the sights is through a bike ride. But no need to lug your own bike on board – a lot of cruise lines already offer bikes for this purpose. “Keeping fit certainly doesn’t need to be too hardcore! Several river cruise lines do in fact carry bikes onboard and offer cycling tours as an option in most ports.”

Track your fitness If you’re particularly concerned about gaining weight during your trip or not getting enough exercise, Christy from Welsh Mum Of One recommends tracking your fitness. “To make sure you're getting in enough activity, take a fitness counter with you. Even most phones will offer an app so you don't necessarily need a special device. “In my experience I haven't needed to hit the gym to stay extremely active on cruises and actually find them one of the best vacations for my fitness levels. “At home, I rarely exceed 8,000 steps, but I found that on port-heavy days such as Rome and Athens I was exceeding 25,000 steps a day, and let's not talk about how many flights of stairs it was up to the Parthenon!” As well as tracking the effort you are putting in on and off the ship, Christy says fitness trackers are great for giving you a nudge to ensure you meet your daily exercise goals. “If you want to squeeze more exercise in, go for a long stroll around the top deck, a run on the jogging track or swim laps if possible. You can also try to avoid the elevators and take the stairs when getting around the ship.” Blogger Natasha from Seen in the City also agrees that making conscious decisions to take the stairs or go the ‘long’ way is a great way to ensure you hit your daily targets. “One of the best (and easiest) tips for staying fit on a cruise ship is to use the stairs instead of the elevators. You will be surprised at just how quickly the steps soon add up and you'll hit your daily target without even realising! This is a quick and easy tip that means you don't have to spend your time in the gym and will help to wear off those delicious cruise dinners!” Whether you want to stick to your exercise routine or keep off the pounds during your cruise, with these tips in mind it’s sure to be a walk in the park. Help shape Whiskey history with your own personalised cask of Irish Whiskey After six successful years in the world of Craft Beer, Irish Gin and also becoming the first distillery in Ireland to produce rum, Blacks Brewery & Distillery are expanding, with the installation of 2 new copper Irish Whiskey stills onsite in Kinsale, Co.Cork, Ireland.

Blacks Distillery Cask Founders Club is now open to new members, allowing individuals to invest in a personalised Irish Whiskey cask and in the process change the face of Irish Whiskey history.

Blacks Micro Brewery & Distillery is an Irish micro brewery & distillery, founded by husband and wife team Sam and Maudeline Black in 2013, and remains a 100% family owned business who pride themselves on both quality and innovation. Many years ago, Maudeline gave Sam a home brewing kit for Valentine’s Day, sparking their

passion for brewing. This hobby developed into an obsession and, in 2013, their dreams became a reality when Blacks Brewery was founded. In 2015 a distillery was added to the site, where they began producing a range of Irish craft spirits. Currently, Blacks produce a range of beers, Gin, and Ireland’s first and only rum. 2019 will see the expansion of the brewery and distillery, and installation of New Whiskey stills. This exciting development is in part funded by The Founders Club whiskey cask investment scheme, which give a unique chance for people to invest in their very own personalised cask of Irish Whiskey. The Founders Club is an opportunity for investors to own their very own cask of Premium Blacks Irish Whiskey from the first year of production at the distillery.

After five years of maturation investors can have their whiskey bottled as their own label whiskey for resale as a limited edition whiskey or for use as the ultimate personal or the ultimate corporate gifts. One early investor plans to give the resulting bottles of whiskey as business cards to potential clients. If 400 bottles of whiskey is too much to handle then founders club investors or have the option to sell the entire cask back to the distillery at the predetermined agreed value with a 4% p.a. compounding return to investors on investors initial purchase. Based on one of the casks available, this return equates to a CAGR of 4% per year or a total gross return of 21.7% for the fiveyear period. Members also have the option to extend the maturation for additional years and allow the whiskey to continue to mature and grown in value as it ages.

One in three British men will be wearing makeup by 2020 there’s certainly no sign of male makeup becoming a flash in the pan. According to MMUK MAN, the world’s leading makeup for men brand, one in three British men will be slapping on a real life filter and indulging in the likes of concealer, beard filler and brow gel by the end of 2020, based on their current growth rate.

Rewind a couple of decades and the term ‘male grooming’ was pretty much non-existent. In fact, even if you roll into the early 2000’s, most men’s bathroom weaponry would of consisted of a simple off-the-shelf shower gel, bar of soap and perhaps a men’s shampoo. Press the fast-forward button and nearly twenty years on and in a world of selfies, social media and gender fluidity - men’s grooming has evolved remarkably. According to a recent study by grooming brand Wahl - a staggering 20% of men now use makeup on a daily basis and with the global men’s beauty market expected to be worth an eyewatering $75 billion by 2023 -

It appears as though millennials are fuelling the flames of growth in this beauty category, with guys between the ages of 19 and 30 most likely to dabble in ‘man-slap’ according to the study. 39% of men in this age bracket now use cosmetics on a daily basis it also claims. This natural evolution of modern male grooming is a far cry from sneaking into your sister’s makeup bag to pop on a little concealer, to help cover up a zit. Men are now fine tuning their complexions to such an extent that they demand male specific products designed just for their skin. Other big brands, aside from MMUK MAN are reacting too and launching their own male specific cosmetic lines. With fashion houses Chanel and Tom Ford

getting their grooming game on, the selection available to men all over the world is quickly increasing. For guys fighting flare ups and drawing upon the ‘skinspiration’ provided to them by ALister’s like David Jeffree Starr, Manny Gutierrez and James Charles at the Beckham, slipping launch of KKW Beauty in Los Angeles (Credit: Getty Images) cosmetics like foundation and tinted moisturiser into their desk drawers allow guys to experiment’, he adds. and wash bags is now much less of a big deal. Meanwhile, MMUK MAN founder Alex Dalley believes that ‘men’s Whilst Becks’ recent LOVE makeup should naturally cover magazine cover-shoot turned imperfections and give gentlemen heads, after he sported green subtle confidence-boosting eyeshadow and eyeliner enhancement. Extensive study reveals the truth behind UK wedding costs Guides for Brides An extensive study of UK wedding industry has revealed that the majority of couples nationwide typically spend under £12,000 on their wedding day. Guides for Brides, an award-winning information provider to the wedding industry, conducted the study based on over 18,000 couples using their online wedding planning software. The results are also supported by the average costs of over 3,000 venues and wedding suppliers. This figure is counter to other more regionally-focussed surveys and reports suggesting costs of over £32,000, which could be unnecessarily putting couples off getting married. “Every bride and groom wants a fantastic wedding day, but it doesn’t need to cost as much as people have been led to believe,” says Alison Hargreaves, Director of Guides for Brides. “We were the very first online wedding publisher in the UK and constantly keep our finger on the pulse when it comes to wedding information and trends. In London, brides may expect to pay nearer £30,000 and we know that some are spending over £100,000 on elaborate weddings with extensive guests lists, but these figures can distort studies on what the majority are spending. Our report shows that the cost of marriage is still within reach for the typical UK couple,” she suggests. High end and widely-publicised weddings are great for the wedding industry, but while they can help create a sense of aspiration for couples with more moderate budgets, the 'Pinterest effect' can often backfire. A separate online poll of over 400 people revealed that 83% of respondents believed the increasing cost of weddings 'puts people off marriage'. “Revealing the true cost of marriage in the UK should give more people the boost in confidence they need to plan their own wedding, even if they don’t have a £32,000 budget,” says Hargreaves. About Guides for Brides Guides for Brides is a well-established, award-winning and respected information provider in the wedding industry, and has been connecting brides and businesses for over 20 years. Thousands of brides nationwide use www.guidesforbrides.co.uk to find inspiration, ideas, venues, etc.

2019 wedding trends unveiled The International Academy of Wedding and Event Planning (IAWEP) has released the fifth annual International Wedding Trend Report revealing the top wedding trends and statistics for the new year according to the world’s most recognised special events experts. Away with Plated Dinners “This year, we’ll see much less in the way of traditional seated dinners,” says Carlson. “Instead, more informal options like buffet and made-to-order food stations will dominate the catering side of weddings in 2019.” Sam Johnson, owner of Carmela Weddings, elaborates: “Think bowl food and sharing platters. It's sociable, flexible and practical, and now it has the Royal Seal of Approval, there is no sign its popularity will fade in 2019.” A New Take on Photo Booths “Classic photo booths decline in

popularity, but photo services stay strong,” assures Juliana Rodriguez of Scarlett Entertainment. “Classic photo prints are no longer the only type of picture couples want for their big day: videos and animated GIFs are guaranteed to become trendy entertainment for weddings next year, an innovative and fun way to congratulate the newlyweds.” Weddings: Not Just for Saturdays “The biggest trend I’ve seen lately is the Friday wedding,” shares Weiss. “Couples care about the date more than the day of week. It’s about the number and, if that falls on a Friday, so be it.” On the same note, “Sunday weddings have become more popular at venues worldwide, with casual atmospheres, brunch menus and daytime activities playing a big role,” adds Carlson. The International Wedding Trend Report can be accessed in its entirety on the Academy’s site.

Evolution of technology in the 21st century Today, consumers rely on smart devices. This includes mobile entertainment and managing their daily activities. Consumers listen to music, watch movies or play games with a few taps on a screen. Devices continue to grow more powerful and faster. And users can achieve anything with smartphones, tablets and laptops. For instance, casino fans can play their favourite casino games online.

The 21st century has been an era of colossal technological advances. Many engineers and researchers have produced many marvels. These include personalised hover-boards, pervasive smartphone and selfdriving cars. These devices were unknowable a decade and a half ago. Gone are the days of buying huge VHS tapes to watch movies and listen to music. Nowadays, such nostalgic items are fading into history. Even new DVDs and CDs are going the way of extinction.

Lucky VIP is an online casino site which has evolved throughout the years. It contains a plethora of games where you can have great fun. Enjoy live casino game variations whenever you want. It gives you the chance to play with live dealers. Do you have a preference for slots? The online gaming site will pamper you with any slots of your likings. Ready to have a ball? Let’s have a glance at some important technological developments of the 21st century! Self-Driving Cars Self-driving vehicles are the most recent major development of the century. But the public transportation system must add infrastructure for this technology to

work. As per professor William Riggs, they need to work with automakers. They must try to redesign streets that are consistent with environmental goals. 3-D Printing 3-D printing is being used across several fields nowadays. This includes health care as well. The technology has various applications in the field. Care providers deliver products ondemand using 3-D printers. What’s more? Specialists use the invention for many feats. They create custom dental work, organ transplants, custom hearing aids and personalised prescriptions. Social Media Social media is one of the prime 21st-century revolutions. It has a formidable influence on society. Some of the platforms people use are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat. These can help keep in touch with people, find jobs and advertise a business. Social media creates a sense of belonging. Bluetooth Bluetooth technology was introduced in 1999. This outstanding innovation allows users to exchange data from fixed and mobile devices. In other words, it enables electronic devices to communicate

wirelessly. It has changed the way people use to share data. YouTube The video-sharing website came alive in 2005. Former PayPal employees were the ones who came up with this brilliant idea. Google bought it in 2006 due to its popularity. Nowadays, many people are making their own channels on YouTube. They are trying to promote their skills and are also earning revenues. Amazon Kindle Do you love to read? Amazon Kindle is just for you. It is the most favoured device for book lovers. Plus, it offers the best reading experience. Whether it is a News Paper or some book, anyone can read everything on the device. You must browse, download and buy. A user-friendly and handy device at the palm of your hand. Overview Living without these devices can be difficult for many people. These have changed our style of living and made us dependant on them. Ask yourself: how many times do you look at your Android phone? How many times in a day do you check Facebook? These questions explain why these innovations are important. The California of Europe – Spain's Costa Blanca and Costa Azahar www.luxurycostablancaproperty.com

Stretching some 200 kilometres down the eastern sideboard of Spain from Valencia City to Murcia lies a gorgeous region, notable for its verdant countryside, wonderful beaches, dramatic mountain ranges – and glorious temperate climate. Here you can thrill to long summers and short winters notable for their warm, sunny days. The coastal part of this region has vast citrus groves of oranges and lemons, the fragrance of which, during the spring, is a marvel to behold. Bounding these orchards are mountains that rise steeply up from the coastal plain, within which are superb opportunities for cycling, mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. From here you can look down upon an azure sea - the temperature of which rises to some 28 degrees within the summer months. Along the coastline there are a variety of beaches. Some of these, from Valencia City to Denia, have golden sand that stretches for as far as the eye can see. Beautifully maintained, many of these immaculate beaches are EU Blue Flagged. From Denia, moving south, the

beaches are set within a rocky coastline full of delightful coves. Pretty, and ideal for diving, snorkelling and sailing, you can swim and sunbathe in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Valencia City is, of course, one of the gems of Spain's eastern coastline. Sophisticated and cultured, it has a stunningly beautiful historic centre (with amazing shopping!), whilst being notable for having its marvellous City of Arts and Sciences. This is one the most extraordinary and beautiful expanses of modern architecture in Europe (designed by Calatrava). A 'sexy' city, well-connected to the rest of Spain it is a place that you must visit! Travelling further south you come to Gandia, a vibrant and charming (still very Spanish) town, with a marina, small port and stunning beaches. Then follows Denia, Javea and Moraira – all beautiful towns that are well known for their sophistication, fine bars and restaurants and up-market lifestyle. Cosmopolitan and popular with international travellers, these towns offer you a wonderful user-friendly lifestyle. Travelling further south you come to Benidorm (famous as the Manhattan of Spain) and

then to Alicante, which is a large town and hub for many visitors coming to this area. Further south still lies Torrevieja, a resort area well known for its affordable lifestyle and significant ex-patriot community. Along the whole coastline there are a variety of properties available to buy. You can chose from old, character town houses set within the historic parts of old villages and towns to modern apartments that overlook the sea. There are superb villas available - with pools and gardens - and fincas with lots of land. The good news is that property along this eastern coastline is very affordable (and that is probably the main difference between America's California and here - the 'California of Spain'!). Here prices are incredibly competitive and you can invariably find your dream property for less than you could have thought possible. Better still, Spanish property is very cheap to maintain with property taxes that are incredibly low and bear no resemblance to Northern Europe! 5 new ways to find fitness motivation gym, while also keeping yourself accountable.

(BPT) - It is no secret that building up the motivation to exercise can sometimes be more challenging than the workout itself. But what if you already have the tools you need to find your motivation? It might be as easy as assembling a playlist of your favourite songs, or finally repurposing that tote bag you always mean to bring to the grocery store to be your gym bag. Let's explore some new - and maybe unexpected - ways to help unleash that motivation. 1) Put together a dynamite playlist Put your favourite tunes together to power you through a workout or download a new podcast for a cardio session. 2) Repurpose an old bag to be your gym bag Having a dedicated gym bag that you prepare the night before is a great way to feel ready to hit the

3) Wear your workout clothes more While it might seem like wishful thinking, science has shown that the clothes we wear can impact our behaviour. If you plan to exercise in the afternoon, try putting on your workout clothes right when you wake up. 4) Keep yourself accountable and inspired Log your workouts in a notebook or journal, or place inspiring stickynotes around the house to remind you of your goals. 5) Treat yourself, every once in a while Reach a fitness goal and want to celebrate? A great way to honour your success while being practical might be treating yourself to a new workout outfit or a snazzy new pair of sneakers. A little something new might just help power you to achieve your next goal. To take a more active role in your health, some health plans, including UnitedHealthcare, offer gym memberships at no additional cost. To learn more, visit UHCMedicarePlans.com.

ROSALEDA FASTIGHETER www.facebook.com/rosaledafastigheter/ www.rosaledafastigheter.se info@rosaledafastigheter.se Hej, Jag heter Maria Johansson Cruz.

Five simple breakfast hacks

(BPT) - Weekday mornings can be rough, trying to get yourself and your family up and dressed, fed, then out the door in time for school and work. It's tough to make sure everyone gets something healthy to eat before dashing out to start the day. Try these breakfast hacks to help simplify your morning and nourish everyone at the same time. Prep for the morning before going to bed. Have everyone choose and set out their next-day outfits the night before, to avoid last-minute closet and laundry room scrambles. Then program your coffee maker. It sounds simple, but how many of us actually do this? Most coffee makers can be preset to start at a certain time in the morning. Even the most basic coffee maker can

be fitted with a filter and prefilled with grounds and water, ready to go when you wake up. This way at least the adults in the household will be fully awake. Make a blender smoothie the night before. Want to be sure the kids drink some milk and get a little fruit in their breakfast? The night before, blend milk and/or yogurt with the kids' favourite fruits or fruit juice. Include some ripe berries or bananas and add a little honey or agave for sweetness, if needed. Store in the fridge and give it a quick mix in the morning to be sure it's blended before serving. Provide fresh fruit daily. Set out a fruit bowl with apples, bananas and tangerines - then if kids don't choose one for breakfast, grab a couple to put in

lunch boxes to give them another opportunity to eat fresh fruit. Luckily, these fruits come in their own packaging! Make a hearty breakfast ahead. Bake a hot breakfast the day before that you can heat up in the morning. Try this delicious recipe that your kids will love. One bowl and one pan are all you need. Cheesy Potatoes 20 minutes prep time, 80 minutes total time. Makes 8 servings. Ingredients 1 package Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 can cream of potato soup 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup sliced green onion 1 tablespoon butter, melted 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a two-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir to mix well. Spread in prepared pan. Bake uncovered 55-60 minutes or until potatoes are tender and center is heated through. (An 11 x 7-inch rectangular or 8-inch square baking dish can also be used.) Make a breakfast to go. The day before, bake a delicious, portable breakfast that can be

eaten on the drive to school. These Mini Hash Brown Casseroles can be baked in muffin cups so that kids - or you - can take them along when you're pressed for time. Mini Hash Brown Casseroles 10 minutes prep time, 30 minutes total time. Makes 24 servings. Ingredients 1 package Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns 1 pound Bob Evans Original Roll Sausage 4 large eggs 1/2 cup milk 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1 cup ham, cubed 1 cup red pepper, diced 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a skillet, cook sausage according to package directions. Lightly grease two 12-cup muffin tins or use muffin cups. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake for 27-30 minutes. With a little planning ahead, plus making sure your kitchen is stocked with good ingredients for breakfast, your mornings can go much more smoothly. Save a lot of hassle and hurry - and everyone will love it.

Six film soundtracks you need in your life Gravity; 2013 As far as original film scores go, composer Steven Price set the bar as high as you possibly can with his efforts for Gravity . Things range from delicate strings to booming full orchestral work, albeit every track was recorded as individual instruments or small groups of instruments, before being electronically processed and then layered together. Juice; 1992 Perhaps not the finest hip hop movie in the ghetto, nevertheless its soundtrack ranks as one of the strongest rap compilations ever. The likes of Big Daddy Kane, Naughty By Nature, Eric B & Rakim, Cypress Hill and Salt-n-Peppa are all represented, which is a strong selection of artists by anyone's standard.

Pump Up The Volume; 1990 Christian Slater plays an East Coast high schooler who is moved to the back end of midwest nowhere by his parents. Finding it difficult to settle in, he begins broadcasting a pirate radio show under the name Happy Harry Hardon, hence this soundtrack being so good; Pixies, Sonic Youth, Henry Rollins, Cowboy Junkies, Soundgarden, Ivan Neville, Concrete Blonde, Liquid Jesus- early-90s alt legends the lot of them.

Pulp Fiction; 1994 To some this probably seems like an obvious choice, but that doesn't stop it being a worthy one. Tarantino's most accomplished movie has a soundtrack so good you simply have to own it. From the e-funk of Kool & the Gang, to Al Green's soul, Neil Diamond's dark crooning to Dusty Springfield's country and western gospel tones, it's sublime. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou; 2004 Wes Anderson's colourful and touching story of an underwater explorer has a soundtrack that's every bit as easy to get into as the movie itself. Brazilianborn Seu Jorge's reworkings of Bowie are astonishing, whilst The Zombies, The Stooges and Scott Walker are more than welcome additions too. Trainspotting; 1996 Very much of its day, and all the better for it, Trainspotting 's exploration of Edinburgh's drug-addled populous was a strong component of the UK's reinvention of itself as Cool Britannia. The score veers between Iggy Pop's narcissistic punk anthem, Lust For Life , and Underworld's dark rave tones on Born Slippy , making for a truly varied must-buy.

Colour your home to enhance your mood Carefully applied colour in your home makes an immediate and lasting visual impact, giving off an array of moodchanging associations. Your colour scheme should complement the space and suit your personal preferences. Before you choose your colour schemes, always consider the space. Dark rooms can be brightened up with lightcoloured walls, accessorised with white voile curtains and plenty of green plants. Tiny rooms look more spacious with pale, cool colours, accessorised with minimal light-coloured furniture. Boxy rooms cry out for a focal point, such as a feature wall contrasted with an attention-grabbing piece of furniture or art. By understanding the qualities of primary and secondary colours and how they work together, you'll have a better understanding of how to apply them in your home. Primary colours are red, yellow and blue. Secondary colours are orange, green and violet. Deep, warm colours including redviolet, red, red-orange, orange,

yellow-orange and yellow give a room an intimate, cosy feel. Light, cool colours such as green, bluegreen, blue and blue-violet make a room seem more spacious and elegant. Pale neutral colours also have this effect. Red: bright and bold, red suggests vitality and aggressiveness. It is a great accent colour, making cold, open rooms seem more inviting and intimate. Deep, subtle shades of red such as burgundy and maroon are perfect for living

rooms. Its complementary colour is green. Green : the colour of nature, green is refreshing and pleasing to the eye. It makes dim rooms seem more vibrant by bringing a gardenlike atmosphere indoors. With its varying shades, green works in just about any room. Its complementary colour is red. Yellow: stimulating, sunny and cheerful, yellow is associated with intellect, power and creative energy. Bright yellows bring warmth and light into dark rooms, and pale yellows make small rooms seem larger. It is also a great kitchen colour. Its complementary colour is violet. Violet: strong and majestic, violet is a powerful accent colour. Pastel violets take on the mood characteristics of red or blue depending on which is more prominent in the shade. Lilac for example, takes on blue's characteristics, while lavender takes on red's qualities. Its complimentary colour is yellow. Blue: most blue shades denote harmony, peace, steadfastness

and loyalty. While it's appropriate for any room, blue is an excellent bedroom colour because it makes one feel comforted and serene. It can also soften rooms that are over-bright. Its complimentary colour is orange. Orange : orange combines the energy of red with the intellectual associations of yellow. Dominant and lively, orange is a vibrant choice for bathrooms and work areas. Peachy oranges have a delicate effect, while brownish oranges such as terracotta give off warm, cosy vibes. Its complimentary colour is blue. The easiest way to colour your home is to start off with a relatively blank canvas, featuring fairly neutral shades on your more permanent fixtures and fitting such as sofas and floor coverings. These don't have to be boring. You can use rich but neutral colours like chocolate and versatile stone. These shades work wonderfully with an accent colour running through your homes accessories. You can use your curtains, cushions, lamps, candles, blankets, rugs and pictures.

Why wearable tech is the future of personal healthcare which most of those younger will be familiar with. The pace of progress is staggering and thankfully, on top of making it easier to play Clash of the Clans, the perpetual march is genuinely improving life in many ways, and there's no greater potential than in the field of healthcare. Just over 15 years ago, many of us were still excitedly dialling up our Internet connection and waiting for those pips, bleeps and other agonising noises to come from the desktop. These days, you're probably in the minority if you still have a fullsize PC at home. Technology is at once marvellous and spectacularly frightening. After you reach 25 there's already a million and one things you don't know about what's possible with even basic computer equipment,

The obvious ideal is an Elysium style gizmo that we lie in and have any ailments - from cancer to crabs - instantly cured. Of course that's probably a few decades away (and then some), but nevertheless the marriage of tech and health is, in theory, a harmonious one. The more time and money we spend on developing ways in which our creations can help us maintain a clean bill of health, the more this will be possible. In addition to dividing opinion on whether Google Glass makes people look silly or not, wearable

aspects of their body's functions.

technology is arguable one of the most exciting and visible areas making inroads into the healthcare market. Samsung's recently revealed Simband is a great example of exactly what we're talking about. The device, which is a wristband with digital display, is still in its prototype stage, along with the Sami operating system (Samsung Architecture Multimedia Interactions), and already it poses a pretty exciting prospect. Stress levels, sleep pattern, heart rate and blood pressure fall under the wellness category; onset of fatigue, calorie intake and hydration under nutrition; and the activity monitor tells you how many steps you've taken in a given period, the kcal reading of your last workout, and the day's 'on-yourfeet-mileage' in distance and hours. All of which may sound a little over the top, but given Britain's notoriously unhealthy lifestyle, and the difference even just a few changes can make, we'd say devices like this could definitely help people make informed choices on what needs to be altered in order to stay in tip top condition.

MJ Vision - Creative Design https://www.facebook.com/mjvision.design/ www.mjvision.com About MJ Vision – creative design MJ Vision – creative design was formed in Sweden 2001 by me, Mia Niemi, a Swedish born, self taught designer. In August 2011 I moved with my family from Stockholm to Alicante in Spain. I work with all kinds of design; classy and functional websites, logotypes, ads, banners, business cards, flyers, brochures, templates and other printed products etc. I can also create, exclusively for my clients, individual illustrations and pictures. In my daily work I mostly use tools like adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and WordPress. My main clients are based in Sweden and Spain; they typically consist of SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises). In spring 2016 I started to sell my digital art as Canvas paintings. Under that year I also started to sell my art on mobile cases. In June 2017 I start to sell my art on clothes and other material that you can press on. The company I use is called Bags of Love UK. So fun and we’ll see how everything ends. My mission is to design everything to give a positive experience of good, visual quality and to satisfy my clients’ needs and desires. I have been working with design since 1998 and I still love designing. Mia

We harness nature's most powerful elements and share these gifts through our global community of Wellness Advocates. If you have ever enjoyed the scent of a rose, you’ve experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. These naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. Essential oils provide plants with protection against environmental threats and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and being beautifully fragrant to people, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health-care practices.
