OUR MISSION
Anytime: Anyplace: Anywhere: Our motto comes from a long -lost-song from yesteryear that then became a popular drink's advertising slogan (OK: Martini!)
It sums up perfectly what a Take Five digital magazine can do for your readers.
Newspapers, magazines and websites are still great and will remain so, but you don't always have them with you. However, that's unlike your readers who will have their mobile with them and your Take Five magazine.
At Take Five, our mission is to produce an eZine that's full of informative, educational and fun content, along with a local, regional, national or/and global readership, and all just a touch of your finger away.
PLUS: we use larger FONT sizes than newspapers or magazines that make reading Take Five much easier on your eyes.

Welcome
Welcome to Take Five magazine, Your English Language, digital magazine, designed to be read easily on your computer, smartphone or tablet..
Print and Font Sizes
Unless the printed publication is an A5 / A6 magazine or similar, these are usually not the easiest to read on a mobile phone, tablet or anything other than a large screen.
.
eMagazines
Almost everyone publishes an electronic version of their publication but it's usually nothing much more than a digital, PDF version of their printed copy.
What's Different?
Take Five magazine is specifically designed to be read full screen on a Tablet or Mobile. Anytime: Anyplace: Anywhere....
Take Five magazine's Font Size is 16 point, which you will see throught Take Five. However, a typical print publication is not as easy to read on your moble
because imagazines are usually printed in 11 or 12 point so they can fit more words onto the page thus you often have to zoom and magnify your magazine to read it.
But, at Take Five, we try and make your reading experience more enjoyable.

Take Five loves magazines...
Yes, it's true, we love magazines, but at £5.00 or more to buy a decent quality publication, it's often difficult to justify, especially when it's usually read just the once and then ends up in the bin.
For the most part, Magazines and Newspapers are passive reading. You read your magazine, enjoy the articles and pretty pictures: then, set it aside.
It's sad but true that each printed publication can cost us a tree or two, while it's also likely that in the future print publications will be but a thing of the past or else they will become a very specialised item, like the 8Track Cassette, Sony Walkman, Betamax, etc, etc...
But, the Kindle is still doing very well...
Join Take Five and the digital revolution and place yourself at the head of the game now...
Take Five is an 'Active' publication that offers readers an experience on their phone or tablet that the TV, Radio or printed publications can't match.
Take Five has embedded live links to websites, shopping sites, YouTube videos, social networking, email, details about all your products and services, downloads and you can even zoom in and out of the page without the need of a magnifying glass. And for your clients, it's absolutely FREE...
Ask yourself:
"How much monthly media advertising can I buy for £280 each month to promote myself?"
Remember, that your print advertising will probably be read just once, possibly twice, thrown into the bin, or maybe it will be missed by readers altogether?
PLUS, since you set your own pricing, you might only have to sell five or six adverts, and you've already paid for your magazine.
Why not ask your newspaper publisher, TV Channel or Radio Station if they will provide you with free ads and what 'Call To Action', they can promise you?
This is why Take Five is for you...
Digital Magazines vs Printed Magazines
There are several advantages of a digital magazine over a printed magazine, including:
Accessibility: Digital magazines are easily accessible on multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptops. Readers can access digital magazines from anywhere in the world, as long as they have an internet connection to read online or download and read anywhere and anytime.
Cost-effective: Digital magazines are more costeffective than printed magazines since they don't require printing, paper or shipping costs. This makes it easier for smaller publications to reach a wider audience.
Interactive content: Digital magazines can include interactive content, such as videos, audio and animations. This allows for a more engaging and dynamic reading experience for the reader.
Searchable: Digital magazines are searchable, making it easy for readers to find specific content quickly. This is particularly useful for readers who are interested in specific topics or keywords.
Analytics: Digital magazines provide publishers with valuable data and analytics, such as readership, engagement and conversion rates. This information can be used to inform future content and distribution strategies.
Environmentally friendly: Digital magazines are more environmentally friendly than printed magazines since they don't require paper or ink. This reduces the amount of waste generated and helps to conserve natural resources.
Shareable: Digital magazines are easy to share with others, either by email or social media. This makes it easy for readers to share articles and content with their friends and followers.
Faster publishing time: Digital magazines can be published much faster than printed magazines, allowing for more timely and relevant content. This is particularly useful for news and current events.
Global reach: Digital magazines have a global reach, allowing publishers to reach readers in different countries and regions. This can help to expand the publication's reach and grow its audience.
again and again, as the moment takes you.
Take Five is not designed as a book or a novel to sit down and read from cover to cover. But that's a personal choice of your readers:
The first thing you'll probably notice, is that the text is bright, with a larger font size than a typical magazine or newspaper, and is as easy, if not easier, to read.
1. Easy to carry:
Since you'll usually be reading Take Five on your smartphone or a tablet, it can easily slip into your pockets or bag.
2.
Countless eBooks and eMagazines:
You can download Take Five as a PDF file or read it online.
You could store hundreds of eBooks and magazines on your mobile, and
online have access to thousands more, but you probably won't go out each day with a couple of books or magazines in your handbag or briefcase.
6. Read Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere: You can read them at work, in the dark, at night, and without disturbing your partner, roommates or other people.
3. Easy Reading: You can take notes, change the font size, magnify whenever you want, save pages, screen shot or copy and paste, and share them on your social media or in your diary.
7. Lifespan: An eMagazine can last a lifetime but a magazine or book needs to be cared for...
4. Eco-Friendly: No trees are destroyed to publish Take Five plus we save a lot of ink which eventually affects the environment.
8. No Storage issues: You can store hundreds or eBooks and eMags in a tiny memory card.
9. It's Interactive: Take Five links to websites, eMail, Video, Social Networks and the digital world.
5. It's free: Take Five is absolutely FREE.
10. Print if you wish: You can print Take Five if you'd like to too.
A Few Typical Cons
1. Availability: You have to be online to access it, or receive the link, or download Take Five.
2. Eye-strain: This can be a minue of reading eBooks. for hours on end BUT, for five minutes or so at a time, it's never going to a problem. PLUS, we use a much larger Font size than a typical printed magazine, so we are easier to read.
3. Caring: Just be careful not to drop your mobile or accidentally spill any beverage on them.
4. Battery Issues: Plug it in or carry a power-bank with you, and you won't have a problem.
5. You can’t physically share an eBook: But you can easily share a link or PDF files for Take Five.
At the end of the day, for want of a better cliche, it's the content that matters most. But we hope you'll enjoy Take Five...

Take Five local magazine content
Each month we put together a range of fun and entertaining content to fit in with your magazine's theme and readership.
Of course, some franchise holders may wish to use some of these ideas to produce their own content: interviews, profiles, trivia and quizzes, competitions, infographics, etc... all of which goes towards making each magazine unique.
Plus, if you have any great ideas for content for your magazine, please let us know, and we can work together on this. .
Trivia and quizzes: Create fun trivia questions and quizzes for your readers to test their knowledge on various topics, such as history, pop culture, sports and more.
Historical profiles: Profile famous historical figures or events, and provide interesting facts and stories about their lives.
Lists and rankings: Create lists and rankings of interesting and fun topics, such as the top 10 most bizarre historical facts or the 25 best movies of all time.

Why a digital publication?
Digital publications are easy to access, can be updated after they have been published and offer many features print publications cannot.
Take Five is easy for your readers to access.
Once published, you can blast YOUR magazine out to your readers via email or through social network followers, in a format viewable on any digital device. It matters not if your audience is on their
computer, looking for something to read on their mobile phone or tablet: readers won’t have any trouble reading YOUR digital magazine, if it’s designed correctly. Plus, nine times out of ten, or closer to 99/100, your readers will have their smart phone with them and so they will already be carrying YOUR magazine with them, anywhere that they may go.
There’s no need to find extra space in your bag, back pocket, airline carryon, or worry about misplacing your copy.
If you can access the internet or download our magazine, you now have your very own issue of Take Five...
There will always be a place for great newspapers and magazines but costs are much higher and logistics more difficult.
Take Five carries an advantage unique to its platform: interactive features through links to other internet content. While it's impossible to drop video, websites, email links and audio into a printed magazine, Take Five offers all this plus you can also track analytics based on how your readership interacts with your magazine. You can expand your magazine and it's content through video by adding stories, tips, ideas, and more..
Take Five offers your reader a chance to engage and linger longer over the content they are consuming and encourages them to continue reading.
This is just one example, yet it’s a great illustration of the advantages of digital magazines. There is so much to be gained and gleaned from this modern-day format. You just have to tap into its capabilities. Enjoy...
The Take Five opportunity
At Take Five we offer a variety of oportunities for those wishing to start their own eMagazine
Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to start a magazine, be it digitally or in print. Having also produced our own magazines and newspapers, Property Video tours, which we started in 1980, TV and Video shows, plus organising large scale exhibitions and events, we feel that Take Five is a step forward in the future direction of publishing. We are not inventing the wheel. We have seen similar projects done in print and on the web. Some new mobile applications try and do something similar. Some website have mobile version, which are trully nothing much more than one long page that scrolls and scrolls, thus the term; bogroll for such websites.
A quick serch on google (just click on the image above of newspapers) will show you lots of other companies who will design a basic paper for you and all you have to do is fill your paper with advertising, to cover costs,
or if you are a Real Estet Agent, Car Dealer ship, etc... fill it with information about what you have for sale, and then place your magazines or newspapers in a spot that will yield the best results.
The concept is very similar to Take Five. The major difference is that you don't have to print anything, pay for a graphic designer for your editorial but only to simply send a link every month to your email list and contacts, so they can read YOUR magazine.
In the near future we expect to see dozens of similar projects.
Print Prices vs Digital issues

American's Mobile Phone Usage and Habits
According to Review.org:
'In the US, up to 47% of us would say we’re “addicted” to our cell phones— it’s no wonder with a dazzling array of unlimited data plans and new smartphones every year.
We surveyed Americans 18 and older about their phone habits and behaviors. And like Narcissus staring into an endless pool of reflection, most of us can’t live without our cellphones in sight for very long—if at all."
You can be sure that if this is the case in the USA, that the United Kingdowm wont be far behind.

Uswitch: Frequency of mobile phone usage statistics
In 2021, UK mobile phone users spent an average of four hours per day on their devices. This is an increase of 0.3 hours in previous years, which has steadily increased since 2019.
According to a 2021 Ofcom survey, people in the UK check their smartphones, on average, every 12 minutes of the waking day. Two in five adults (40%) look at their phone within five minutes of waking up, reaching 65% of those aged 35 and under. Similarly, 37% of adults check their phone five minutes before going to sleep, with the comparable figure for under-35s rising to 60%.
Take Five future trends
At Take Five, we are focused on producing eMagazines that will appeal to the just over 85 million mobile phone subscriptions in the UK.
It's obvious to us that many other companies will enter the specialist fiend of digital publishing.
The next few pages contain a few ideas about some of the projects we are presently working on.
We hope these provide you with a little inspiration and will join us as a publisher at Take Five...
