DAY 1 ARRIVE IN PASSAU Embarkation in Passau and then cast away!

DAY 1 LYON – TRÉVOUX After embarkation, the ship departs at 18:00 for an early evening cruise along the River Saône where the ship will berth overnight in Trévoux.

DAY 2 MELK – VIENNA Today begins with an excursion (1) to the Baroque Benedictine monastery of Melk Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later as the ship arrives in Vienna, you will have the opportunity to take part in the (2) tour "Scary stories of Vienna" or alternatively have time at leisure. DAY 3 VIENNA Spend the day in Vienna. Enjoy time at leisure in the morning or alternatively join our (1) excursion introducing you to the most important sights of this imperial city such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, as well as experiencing the charm of the Viennese people. After lunch there is also the opportunity for an excursion (2) to the stunning Baroque Schönbrunn Palace. DAY 4 BUDAPEST Today your cruise takes you to Budapest, where you can either spend time at leisure or take part in our excursion (1) to see the capital city of Hungary with its imposing buildings along the banks of the Danube. In the afternoon there is an opportunity to participate in a sightseeing tour (2) through Budapest, travelling like a local on the subway and on a panoramic tram. As the day ends there is the chance to experience Budapest by night (2) with an illumination tour on the "Queen of the Danube" excursion boat. DAY 5 BUDAPEST – ESZTERGOM Today spend time at leisure or participate in our excursion (1) to the Hungarian Puszta (countryside) with a demonstration of traditional Hungarian horsemanship. After lunch drive through the Danube Bend, also called Hungarian Wachau. DAY 6 BRATISLAVA Spend the day at leisure in beautiful Bratislava or take part in our excursion,(1) a walking tour of Bratislava, with a drive to the imposing castle affording beautiful views of the Danube. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to join a (2) beer tasting excursion in the Old Town. DAY 7 DÜRNSTEIN Your cruise today takes you to the quaint town of Dürnstein in the Wachau Valley. In the morning you can join the excursion (1) to visit the town, including a wine tasting opportunity. In the afternoon enjoy idyllic cruising through the unique and beautiful Wachau valley.

DAY 2 TRÉVOUX – MÂCON – COLLONGES This morning spend time at leisure in Mâcon or join an (1)excursion from Mâcon to visit the medieval Benedictine Abbey of Cluny, with included wine tasting. In the late afternoon set sail for our overnight berth in Collonges. DAY 3 COLLONGES – LYON Free time at leisure or join our (1) walking tour Excursion around Lyon and where Rivers Saône and Rhône meet. During the afternoon we set sail down the River Rhône to Viviers. DAY 4 VIVIERS – AVIGNON Time at leisure or join a morning guided walk (1) through ancient Viviers, dominated by the cathedral dating back from the 12th century to the 18th century with its impressive belltower and magnificent tapestries. Enjoy the afternoon on board as we cruise towards Avignon, arriving there during the evening. DAY 5 AVIGNON – ARLES – TARASCON This morning relax while cruising to Arles. On arrival spend time at leisure or join a (1) guided walking tour around Arles including a visit to the amphitheatre. In the afternoon you could join another (1) optional excursion to the Camargue , a unique biosphere with many different bird and animal species. On rejoining the ship we set off for Tarascon. DAY 6 TARASCON – AVIGNON We arrive in Avignon after Breakfast for time at leisure or join a (1) guided walking excursion through this UNESCO listed city . Our tour takes us to the major sites, such as the Palace of the Popes and the famous Saint Bénézet bridge (“Le Pont d'Avignon"). In the afternoon the ship departs for Tournon. DAY 7 TOURNON – LYON This morning spend time at leisure or take an (1) excursion on the “Train d'Ardèche”. Travel in a panorama carriage on this heritage railway through the romantic valley of the River Doux. This afternoon relax onboard whilst cruising up river on the Rhône to Lyon. DAY 8 LYON Disembark after breakfast.

DAY 1 ARRIVE PORTO – VILA NOVA DE GAIA The ship will be docked at Vila Nova de Gaia, embarkation will commence after 16.00 hrs. Free time until dinner.

DAY 1 BASEL Embarkation in Basel from 15:00 hours.

DAY 2 VILA NOVA DA GAIA – RÉGUA–PINHÃO On arrival in Régua we begin our excursion (1) to Vila Real to visit the famous Mateus Palace. We then continue to the Quinta Avessada for a traditional dinner with wine and musical accompaniment. For those passengers not taking the excursion to Vila Real we have a transfer from the ship to the Quinta to join the included dinner. DAY 3 PINHAO – VEGA DE TERRÓN Spend a relaxing morning on board, enjoying the passing scenery of the Douro Valley. After lunch on board we arrive in Vega de Terrón on the border with Spain. This is the starting point for the excursion (1) to Castelo Rodrigo, one of 12 historic Portuguese villages. This evening we have dinner on board the ship. DAY 4 SALAMANCA From Vega de Terrón, we travel by coach to the famous Spanish university city of Salamanca (1). Our guided walk takes in the Plaza Mayor, Spain's oldest university, the Casa de las Conchas, the baroque church of La Clereria and the Roman bridge – the Puente Romano. Then we return to the ship in Barca d'Alva for a traditional Portuguese barbecue. DAY 5 BARCA D'ALVA – PINHÃO–RÉGUA This morning the MS Douro Spirit begins its journey downstream. After lunch we offer an excursion (1) from Pinhão to the Quinta do Seixo, rejoining the ship in Régua. This evening the Captain invites us to enjoy cocktails before our Gala Dinner. DAY 6 RÉGUA – VILA NOVA DE GAIA After breakfast we offer an excursion (1) to the ancient area of Lamego. This colourful town is surrounded by vineyards, enjoy the beautiful views, as well as a chance to explore it's cathedral and museum. DAY 7 VILA NOVA DE GAIA In Vila Nova de Gaia we get the chance to experience lovely views across the River Douro to the rooftops of Porto, Portugal's second largest city. Our morning coach tour (1) in Porto takes us from the colourful Cais da Ribeira to the ancient Alfandega. We also offer an afternoon excursion to Guimares (2). This evening concludes with our final dinner on board.

DAY 2 STRASBOURG Today your cruise begins in Strasbourg where you can have time at leisure or participate in the (1) Strasbourg city tour. DAY 3 KOBLENZ – KÖNIGSWINTER There is an opportunity to join the Koblenz excursion (1) to the Eifel mountain area, with a visit to the Lava Dome Volcano Museum in Mendig. Passengers taking the excursion will rejoin the cruiseship in Königswinter. DAY 4 AMSTERDAM Today we arrive in the bustling city of Amsterdam. You can either spend time at leisure or, partake in the excursion (1) to the Rijksmuseum. In the early evening there is an (2) optional excursion available, a romantic canal cruise. DAY 5 DUISBURG – DÜSSELDORF Enjoy the amenities on board during the morning trip to Duisburg. In the afternoon, there is an excursion (1) available from Duisburg to Essen to the Zeche Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. Alternatively you can (2) purchase a transfer to Düsseldorf for time at leisure. DAY 6 KOBLENZ Arrival in Koblenz in the morning. Discover the city center at leisure, or take the opportunity to join the (1) Koblenz sightseeing tour. Take the cable car to explore the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. In the afternoon, while cruising along the “Romantic Rhine”, listen to a local explaining the unique cultural landscapes.
