Dussehra festival This festival marks the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana. Dussehra is celebrated twenty days before Deepawali. Huge Effigies of Ravana, his brother Kumbhkaran and son Meghnatha are burnt on big grounds. It is also called the Vijay Dashmi.
Pongal festival Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated in Tamil Nadu which lasts for three days. On the first day, people worship the rain god. On the second day, people worship the sun god and on the third day, people worship the cow.
